Full Description of Event/Sighting: Lights came out of the SW heading N over the Puget Sound. Two at a time spaced evenly each time. The shape was triangular with 3 distinct prongs at the bottom.

Very red in color, almost as if surrounded by fire or an incredibly bright red light.

Appeared as if they were taking off from somewhere because of the arch pattern they were flying. Would make the arch, then go straight up and out of sight. Always in the same spot. Except 2 of them.

They hovered a few seconds at the place where the others seemed to depart, then at what appeared to be an adjusted speed headed over towards the Narrows Bridge.

At times it looked as if they were hovering in place over the bridge or Gig Harbor. Never have I seen anything like this before. The sight and wonder of it all was riveting!

I saw a meteor at 10:00 p.m. August 3, 2008. New Jersey. I happened to be looking out my second story window facing south and I saw it streak out of the eastern sky. I saw a long white trail behind it. The duration was approximately 3 or 4 seconds.

Colors were teal-blue, orange-red, yellow and white. The meteor was thicker on the leading edge. It came down at about 45 degree angle and disintegrated much like fireworks do.

At first I thought that's what this was, but it was too big and I heard no sound except a shimmery whistling, plus this brilliant streak came from the wrong angle. Very cool thing to witness.

Approximately 8:00 p.m. we were outside and saw the same "star" shooting across the sky from south to north in the western sky, west of Roseburg.

It looked more like a piece of space debris that was falling apart as it crossed, as it seemed to be ejecting balls behind it, and no it had no defined tail.

It disappeared to the North into the tree line.

15 To 20 Yellow White Lights Over Davie Florida

Tonight my husband and I were driving west on I-595 in Davie, Florida and we saw about 15-20 yellowish-white lights scattered from the ground up into the sky. They weren’t blinking Just stationary, not moving. We were stunned.

I didn’t take my eyes off them for a long time because I really wanted to remember what I was seeing. We both wondered if they were angels?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My wife and I were smoking a cigarette and I was talking to her. She said "What is that?" I turned around to see what looked like a shooting star.

However it was quite many times larger than a shooting star (the size difference between a dime and a Kennedy half-dollar) and it was "shooting" upwards instead of across the sky or downward as most shooting stars do.

Another observance I made was that this "shooting star" had no tail. There was just a ball of light shooting upwards many times faster than any fighter jet flies. After about 10 seconds of the ball shooting upwards, it gave off what seemed like a bit of light dust for 2 seconds and then was completely gone. Just disappeared.

It didn't fade away it just was gone. If you have any information on this sighting or any information that comes your way, please contact me as I am very curious and am a frequent sky observer.

Hackensack NJ and the time is 10:14 p.m. Four lights in a kind of parabolic movement which converge and then separate. I'm not a nut and I just found your blog because I was looking to see if someone was talking about it.

I have never seen something like this. It is not Northern Lights. They are in a distinct pattern and it's still there.

I have been watching it for five minutes and I am near Teterboro Airport, could that be an explanation?

I live in high rise on the 10th floor. I will be watching news tomorrow to see what others saw.

Serviceman Observes UFOs Over Moody Air Force Base Valdosta Georgia And In The North Atlantic

I was stationed at Moody Air Force base in Valdosta, Georgia in the early 70’s. My job was training student pilots in the flight simulators I was assigned to. I was making a milk run for my family one evening in 1973, driving from our house to the base convenience store.

The sky was clear and if you know anything about South Georgia you know that the lay of the land is very flat. I observed an extremely fast moving light about 30 degrees above the horizon moving roughly south to north from the air base. I slowed down to watch what I now believe to be a UFO moving across the sky at an incredible rate of speed.

I observed the object abruptly change direction by what I would estimate to be 30 to 40 degrees to the east. Within just a few seconds the object was no longer in sight. About 30 to 60 seconds later I saw two chase planes leaving the air base in what appeared to be an attempt to intercept the UFO.

The planes used to chase the object are supersonic jet training planes. What I observed was an object that was moving at what I would estimate to be at least five times faster than the jets in pursuit. Result – not even a contest. UFO was gone!

After separating from the Air Force in 1978 I worked a few odd jobs in the electronics field. I acquired a job with the Naval Oceanographic office in 1981. I was an electronic technician assigned to an oceanographic research ship that surveyed the North Atlantic.

One cloudless October evening, about 2 hours before sunset while in the North Atlantic above the Arctic Circle, I decided to take a short break while there was a lull in the ship’s activities. I walked out to the fantail of the ship and sat with my feet hanging off of the starboard side of the ship.

The water was amazingly calm and clear. About a quarter mile from the side of the ship I observed the water glowing from below which as you might imagine immediately caught my attention.

Imagine an extremely bright spotlight shining up through crystal clear ocean water from a depth that was in the neighborhood of 8-10 thousand feet deep.

Within what I estimate to be about 2-3 seconds, a sphere of white light exited the water. I would estimate the size of the object to be the size of a beach ball. As if that in itself was not amazing enough the object did not disturb the water at all upon exiting and was totally silent.

The object left the water and ascended vertically at an unbelievable rate of speed. I would estimate the time from exiting the water to moment the object disappeared from view into the clear evening sky to be less than 3 seconds.

Hello, my two friends and I were driving east on 80 up to Tahoe tonight and saw a green light moving in the air in a flight pattern we had never seen. Up, down and diagonal. There was no tail, no flashing lights.

It was not big enough to be a helicopter, or plane and couldn't have been with the way it was moving.

Maybe a radio controlled something? To big to be a laser or pointer of some sort. I've never seen a UFO, or never reported anything. When I saw it, I brought it to the attention of driver and front passenger.

White Blue Object Burns Out In The Sky Over West Houston Texas

Mr. Vike, at approximately 5:45 p.m. this evening (1/26/12) I saw what looked to be a meteor/shooting star fall to the northern direction of me. I was surprised how bright it was (seemed white/light blue to me), and was one of the larger ones I have seen.

It looked as if it burned out before it reached the top of my "visibility line". It was falling at probably a 20-30 degree angle. I am in the Memorial area of West Houston. I just spotted another (much smaller in size) at approximately 1:10 a.m. It was in the same general area of the sky, but burned out much more quickly this time.

It looked as if it was much further away as well. You are the only person on the web I found so far that posted a "sighting" similar to what I saw. Hope this helps and feel free to email with any questions or information.

It rose slowly into the air and vanished. It did not appear to fly away. My brother and I could not believe what we saw and strangely did not speak much of it at the time. However in the years gone by we have discussed it and both remember it like it was yesterday.

Silent Manta Ray UFO Spotted Over Meridian Idaho

I saw one of these manta crafts over Meridian Idaho. It was about 500 feet up and it was cruising along effortlessly and seemed nearly invisible against the night sky.

Between Franklin and Highway 84 headed in the direction of Ontario, Oregon.

It made no sounds, had no lights, it did block the stars out and it went directly over head. The time and date was 2:00 a.m. on March of 2008 (we were in the hot tub)

I estimate the thing was 500 feet from the ground and 200 + feet wide. It looked like a short tailed Manta Ray.

I do believe I saw another one much, much higher and on the other side of the highway and way further away, but flying in the same general direction as the closer one.

They seemed to mimic the sky's color, but did block out the stars light as they passed in between the stars and my eyes. No sounds, no markings, no visible engines.

Hello, I had found your blog late last night after driving home. I read some stories that had sounded alot like what I had just seen and so I thought I would share my story. I feel that it needs to be documented somewhere.

January 22^nd at 7:00 p.m. MST in Sandy City, Utah. We had just gotten off the freeway when my girlfriend and I looked up and there were 5 bright orange balls 2 close together and then 2 on the outsides (. .. .) positioned like that. We thought they were falling stars or something so we pulled over.

They weren’t falling. But the 2 on the outsides started distancing (horizontally). They moved behind a cloud heading south and we could still see one when 3 more flew up over the mountain heading to the same spot. They too hovered and then disappeared.

When they were flying we could see that they were bright orange and had red extremities. They were low enough that we could tell they weren’t common aircraft but too bright to make an actual description of them. The red extremities were separate from the orange glow.

No noises came from them and we ended up driving south but could not see them anywhere in the sky. 2 other cars had pulled over but we had not spoke with them.

7 Glowing Orange And Yellow Objects Over Draper Utah

From the back yard of our home in Draper, UT (13800 So. 700 E. area), my wife and I witnessed seven, orange and yellow glowing objects over Draper, UT. Noticed first object rise fairly quickly, coming up over what appeared to be the 10600 So. State Street area of Sandy, UT, which is about three miles North of our home.

All objects rose separately about 15 seconds apart from the same area. They didn't appear to be in any type of organized formation. All objects looked at first to head towards the East then gradually changed direction, heading SSW. One came directly over our home.

The others were spread out up to a quarter mile to the East of us, all gaining altitude until they were higher than Point of the Mtn. All seven of the objects, traveling at a speed of approximately 40-50 mph, headed directly SSW over the mountain South of Draper, disappearing into the clouds.

Low clouds at the time were sitting at about the same height as the top of the mountain to the South of us. Light rain at the time, swirling wind. There was absolutely no noise coming from objects. These objects glowed with distinctive orange and yellow colors, slowly flickering or maybe pulsating (not flashing) as if they were a flaming fire.

Weird description I know, but that's the best way I can describe it.

A friend of ours who lives in Draper said her son told her about a month ago that he had seen a UFO just West of Draper, and described it exactly as we saw it on Saturday.

Red Orange Light Seen Over Bonita Springs Florida

On Saturday the 21st of January at about 9:00 p.m. my neighbor came to my door all excited about a bright light that she was seeing in the northeastern sky. She was quite excited as I had called her and her husband out to see the recent rocket that was launched from Cape Canaveral.

I have a 15X70 pair of binoculars that I use for celestial observation so I was able to get a good look at the object. At first I thought that I was looking at a flare that someone had shot up, but the size appeared to be too large.

The color was also reddish orange as described in the sighting of January 5. The object that I saw appeared to be very slowly descending. My position at the time of the sighting was close to the intersection of 41 and Wiggins Pass rd.

The direction to the object was such that it would have been toward the Dog Track at the intersection of Old 41 and Bonita Beach Rd.

At one point the light went out and as I continued to look at the point where it had become extinguished I could see what appeared to be a dark object that may have been a parachute.

The only question in this narrative is the time of the occurrence. I am not sure and I would have to check with my neighbor.

Light Pink/Rose Colored Oval Shaped UFOs Seen From McHenry County Illinois

On Sunday, August 8, 1988 at approximately 9:40 p.m. I was sitting outside near the north side of our house having a cigarette. I was facing toward the east at the time and happened to look toward the northeast for some reason.

I saw five objects coming from the north and heading toward the highway about four blocks to the north of us. The objects were heading toward the south at a high rate of speed and were flying in a V formation.

They came across the highway and headed toward the creek that flows nearby. From my position, they were about a half mile to the east and appeared to be about a thousand feet or so up in the air.

The objects were oval in shape and a light pink/rose color. They seemed to look almost transparent. They made no noise that I could hear. They flew over the creek and the nearby woods and continued south.

I watched them until they disappeared from sight.

Red Orange Light Spotted Twice Over Indialantic Florida

My boyfriend and I have together seen these strange lights in Indialantic over the river on two separate occasions. The first time was on New Year's Eve 2011, at around 10:30 p.m. There were six lights flying in a V-formation.

The lights changed from red, to orange, and white. They then flew into a vertical uniform line, and slowly disappeared one by one. The second time was just last night, on 1/19/2012. This time it was just one light, flying low over the river.

The light changed from red to orange and white, and then it quickly took off up into the night sky. Another man driving on A1A saw the light and pulled over to speak to us about what we saw.

There are other people taking notice of these occurrences as well, as we did notice a low flying military plane in the area of both sightings.

Hi, We live in Hunters Crossing, just east of the HS. My 13 year old son was home, watching his little brothers. He swears he saw a green light with an orange outline.

The younger kids saw it too and described it as a yellowish ball with orange outline.

They all concur that the light had very suddenly and swiftly darted away. Happened today, 1/21 between 11:00 p.m. and midnight approximately. Creepy!

I am a taxi driver and was out all night that night. I was on a call near Broadway and S. McClintock Dr in Tempe, Arizona when I saw it. I was parked and outside my cab talking to another driver.

We had been waiting on a group of people to come out of their apartment and so were just passing time.

I looked up and saw a strange object moving rapidly, but not real fast, across the sky from south to north. It looked like it glowed and was a sort of bluish/green or maybe turquoise color.

It seemed to me that it had a slight haze around it as it moved although there were no clouds or mists at the level it was flying.

I initially thought it could be a firework, but as it moved along I realized it could not be that as it covered too much area and stayed the same brightness as it moved.

I would estimate that as I watched it the object covered about 2 miles of sky before disappearing behind some trees. This told me it was actually very low in the sky.

The other driver I was with saw exactly the same thing. We were amazed at what we saw as once it was gone and we discussed what it could be we realized we had seen a "UFO".

The time we saw it was about 8:30 p.m. December 31, 2011.

By The Way - I was a aviation and high tech technician for various Dept. of Defense projects (and stationed at Luke AFB) back in the 70s and 80s and I am very familiar with how aircraft fly.

This was a very weird aircraft if that was what it was, but I doubt it.

Two Balls Of Fire Flying Over Boynton Beach Florida

Mr. Brian Vike, I thought the kids in my neighborhood were going nuts, I thought my daughter was on drugs and I definitively thought my friends were trying to play with my head. It’s true, everything they have said they seen over the sky of Boynton Beach FL.

I saw it for myself about 3 days ago maybe around 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. I was playing cards outside with a friend when we saw what looks like 2 balls of fire flying above not very high and not very fast.

We stared at it until disappeared, there have been multiple sightings of these objects I tried to capture these on my video cell phone, but I could not get the image (cheap phone).

I was thinking about this again this morning and figured if we are seeing it then there has got to be other people seeing it as well.

I am glad I checked Google which lead me to your page. I am seriously curios as to what these objects are and why are they so active in our area. It's unlike anything I have ever seen before.

Hello Brian, I am responding to your web page http://unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com/2011/11/giant-orange-fire-ball-over-cape-coral.html and would like to tell you what my wife and my friend and his wife saw on January 13, maybe the 14th, 2012 in the night sky approximately between 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

As we were sitting in our porch, my wife out of the corner of her eye saw an orange "glow ball" rising above the tree-line. She thought that possibly it was a plane or helicopter on fire, for we are on the northeast side of Orlando Florida and are in the path of most inbound airliners to Orl International Airport.

The "sphere" came above the tree-line and we watched as it headed north. After traveling a short distance, it turned more easterly, towards I would say New Smyna Beach or Daytona. I got out the binoculars and could not see any markings whatsoever on the sphere.

In retrospect, I would believe that if we were standing next to this "sphere", I would have said it to be 10 -13 feet in circumference. None of us could figure what this possibly could have been.

As we went back to sit down, a few minutes later, up from the tree-line came another, and it was followed by another. Again with binoculars, we could not determine any markings on them, and they too at the same point, took an easterly path towards ocean.

These were very bright orange, as if you put a very very extremely bright light inside a pumpkin. All in all, we saw approximately 16 of these spheres in a 30 minute period, with last 3 coming over the tree-line in a triangular pattern, each exactly alike and the same exact "pattern of flight".

We are not far (8 miles) from the University of Cent, Florida, and thought possibly it was an experiment by the University.

The next day I saw 2 news media vans by my place of work, and took the opportunity to ask both channels, channel 6 and 9, if they had any reports of glowing spheres in the sky the previous evening, and to my astonishment they said no, that nothing was reported to the media.

We didn’t call because we thought for sure someone would call, because of the very unusual sightings we saw, all 4 of us, apparently no one did. Your article was very familiar to what we saw, and I thought mentioning it to you, that you would seem interested in this "phenomenon".

We watched the news the next 24 hours, looked on internet for any posts on the subject, and nothing- which really peeks our curiosity.

UFO Was Like A Giant Triangle Seen Over McHenry County Harvard Illinois

On Thursday, October 9, 2009 at 8:45 p.m. my brother and I watched a UFO in the sky over our house in Harvard, Illinois, McHenry County. I saw the object first as it came from the southeast. The sky itself was cloudy, but the object was under the clouds and in clear view.

I at first thought it was a plane coming from O'Hare airport as they pass over our house quite often both coming and going. As I watched, this object didn't seem to be moving like a plane, it wasn't moving as fast and seemed more to float through the sky.

There were also six lights showing on the object. A plane generally shows four, one on the end of each wing, one near the nose, and one near the tail. A plane also generally has one blue light on one wing, and a red light on the other.

The lights on this were red and white only, I believe four red and two white. The lights formed a row and appeared to be on two sides. I went into the house and told my brother to come outside and look at this thing.

My brother and I went back outside. The time then was 8:45 p.m. The object had now moved closer, but as we watched, it began to float more to the west. We watched as it moved across the sky. It floated along the creek that flows about 100 yards to the south of our house.

It was in plain view, no obstructions. As we watched, it began to veer to the northwest, but it didn't bank, and turn like a plane would. It just gradually "floated" in that direction. We watched as it drew nearer to our street, finally passing overhead just on the west side of our house.

The object was maybe a couple of thousand feet up, but it still appeared to be large, like a 747 would. It made no noise that we could hear. We watched as it floated to the northwest and could now see that there was a third side to the object with two more red lights and one white one.

The object was like a giant triangle, with three sides and three lights on each side. We have no idea what it was, and because of the black background of the dark, cloudy sky, we don't know if it was solid in the center, or not.

We watched it for a total of probably nine, or ten minutes until it floated out of sight in the northwest. We know that it wasn't a hot-air balloon because there was no sound of the hot air burner. We have seen plenty of hot-air balloons go over. To this day, we still do not know what it was.

At the end, no more trails could be seen and it appeared that the object came to a stop for approximately 20 seconds at which time the glowing orange light disappeared.

At first we thought it to be a meteor or maybe a plane on fire, but the physical behavior suggest otherwise.

15 Ember Colored Lights Seen Over Miami Florida

I stepped out onto the terrace to have a smoke before bed and saw these as well. 15 ember-ish colored lights moving linearly.

Were not in a triangle.

We live approximately 15 minutes from the airport close to 826 so seeing air traffic is commonplace, however these were not standard aircraft.

They made no sound, had no running lights other than the glow, and all standard air traffic was far away in all directions. Any ideas what this is?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving north from Robert Market in Prescott Valley toward Roberts Rd. The time was around 11.30 - 11.45 p.m. on Saturday the 14th of January 2012.

My eye sight was drawn toward the ridge on Mingus Mountains. I saw an extremely large light being admitted from above the ridge of Mingus mountain, (the size of the light appeared to cover a few miles) the light allowed the ridge to be visible and also light up the sky and clouds, similar to the sun setting, although not as intense.

I believed at first it to be a large wildfire, but looking closer the light was well above the ridge, the area of light was large and the view was incredibly beautiful. I continued to watch for around 5 minutes before continuing my journey.

I lost sight of the light when traveling up Hondo as the ridge was no longer visible, but I was still able to see the reflection of the light in the clouds of the dark dead of night sky.

I was expecting to hear of a fire and after nothing has appeared in the news, I called the forest department to ask if anything of that nature had been reported. I was informed that no fires or prescribed burns have taken place in that area.

Did anyone else see the light? Does anyone know what it was?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Flickering red, yellow, white and orange, there was an odd object in the sky. My brother had called me to come look at it. He was already under the assumption, right off the bat it was a space craft.

There were tons of airplanes flying toward the object. It moved slowly north, as we were facing west. It was higher before I got outside, but it had moved halfway down in between houses and trees.

It went down in a zig-zag sort of path at a slow speed. It moved to each point with 2-4 minute intervals. It flickered, and we were positive it was no planet, for Venus was above us where we stood.

Planes were circling around it, and as it moved more, I could see it one last time and by that point, it had moved so far west(away from us) that it was like a little red dot.

The object was moderately large, so its disappearing was very noticeable.

We looked through binoculars and I even had my glasses so it magnified more. This object was crystal clear, it was a sphere-like object.

On 03-16-2000 (9:05 a.m.), I saw a stationary chrome sphere over Houston, Texas. I was on a commercial flight in route to Cancun from George Bush IAH.

We were in the steep initial climb as I looked downward from my window and spotted a smaller (maybe 10 foot diameter) chrome ball perched above a cloud.

I only spotted this object for about 2-3 seconds before clouds blocked my view and we moved past. I really tried to make rational sense of what I had seen, but have been unable to. I have never seen anything paranormal before or since.

NASA has a department for these sort of issues, but has refused to return my calls.

Missing Time In Atlanta Georgia

I was just actually looking for somewhere to post my story.

I have never spoken of this, except to my family. I have been trying to explain it for years.

It was 2001, I was driving to KY from Georgia to go pick up my kids for their Summer vacation. At that time it was the 10-15th time. I have driven through Atlanta, GA to pickup or drop off my kids.

What I can't explain is, that year I remember coming into south Atlanta on I-75, about 10 miles from downtown. The next thing I remember is is being about 10-15 miles north of Atlanta, GA.

Now, I remember being very tired at the time, so I'm not sure exactly what happened. What's strange is, this happened during the daytime, in heavy traffic. I cannot account for about 50 minutes of my life.

I know this may sound weird, but it happened. I am an expert at traveling and driving, so what happened? Did something take over, intervention, memory lapse? How can I drive through Atlanta traffic asleep and be writing this today?

Hi I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner, but we also seen the UFO. It was me, my boyfriend and his two cousins on January 1, 2012 right after the ball dropped.

We ran outside to watch the fireworks which were in almost every direction, and honestly I wish I would have looked at the clock to tell you a time, but we were out there for a little bit.

I could imagine same time as you, anyway I had turned my head to look for more fireworks and I seen this bright orange ball of light, thinking it was a UFO immediately.

It didn't move and then it started to bob side to side and then it started to move down and to the left from my view of the sky and then it disappeared.

I tried to get pictures, but it was just too dark and far away. But I will say it was pretty freaking awesome because there is no doubt in my mind that it was a UFO, how could they not come and see the firework show as they have the best view.

Bright Red/Orange Glowing Contrail At Night Over West Palm Beach Florida

Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on January 19, 2012 I was in my backyard watching some F-16s land at Palm Beach international Airport.

It is unusual for those airplanes to be coming and going from that airport, so I grabbed my binoculars thinking that there might be an Air Force two or something of that nature coming in.

As I looked north at approximately 350° northwest, I saw a bright orange light with visible contrails with blue sky behind it. You could tell it was reentering the atmosphere as a contrail was hit by the sun.

The sun had been set for over two hours. It was extremely bright and as the contrails subsided its red/orange glow continued to be extremely bright.

I watched it for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 minutes and from approximately 350° to 100° southeast. The bright orange glow did not fade away as would as a comet.

It simply just turned off the color from bright orange to invisible.

With the F-16s scouting the area, I thought it might be one of those new unmanned military shuttle vehicles coming in. But the direction that they were going would land somewhere in Puerto Rico, or the Atlantic Ocean.

I've never seen anything like this in my life.

Fast Moving Red Light Turns Abruptly Over Northern New Jersey (UFO)

Hi, I am from Northern New Jersey (5 minutes out of NYC). I was outside my house at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 when I saw a very small object with a reddish glow moving very fast at a much higher altitude than the average plane traffic.

No blinking lights or anything. What baffled me was how this object continued on it’s straight line path for about 25 seconds before abruptly turning and continuing in the opposite direction (towards Orion) without deceleration.

I watched this object for the next 30-40 seconds as it took off into the night and out of my sight. I am wondering if there is any possible relation to another witnesses sighting, and if I could possibly see the video you have.

The next day after I saw this UFO, my dog died. Very strange, the first one I've ever seen in my life. Thanks.

Huge Explosion In The Sky Over Santa Cruz California

Tonight at approximately between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the western night sky I saw what appeared to be an explosion, a very large one. I am not sure what I saw, but it wasn’t anything I have ever seen before and I watch the sky nightly.

There were no stars visible in the sky where a circle of light suddenly appeared, expanding quickly, in a burst. As it stopped expanding, a circle of light, a ring also expanded and dissipated around it.

The entire thing dissipated quickly and it was followed by several fairly large shooting stars near it.

November 27th, 2009, I think I saw what all of you have seen today roughly around 6:30 p.m. in Highland, Indiana. I was walking on a trail with two other people when we all saw this orange blob/orb with a slightly white edging around it

It was somewhat transparent, almost see-through if you will, but it was moving rather slow. The object was about the size of the moon and was absolutely silent, but seemed to just slightly fade off into the clouds. If anyone in the Indiana/Illinois area has seen the same thing, comment this blog.

Or if anyone overall who has the same description contact me, I will be checking this site for more updates soon enough.

Burst Of Bright Green Light Exploded Several Feet From The Highway Between Laredo And Houston Texas

Time: Evening.

Though it has been a few years since my initial experience, I decided to do a little research and find out exactly what we saw many years ago. While searching on Google, I came across these postings, and I thought, "OMG, they are describing what I saw".

Many years back, sometime in the late 1980's my mother was driving my brother and I back from a visit to the city of Laredo,TX. We were visiting family there, and heading back to Houston,TX. I must have been in my early teens, because I vividly recall wearing my black MJ leather zipper jacket during that drive back.

As we were driving back, my brother was asleep in the back seat, and I was awake in the front passengers seat. At one point in our drive, a burst of bright green light exploded from the dark Texas landscape, several feet from the highway fence line.

Now mind you this is out in the country, where there is nothing, but cactus and cattle ranches. My mother could see the bright flash from the corner of her eye, and asked me what it was. Of coarse, I said, "I don't know", but that night I tried to rationally explain away any misconceptions.

I thought maybe it was a broken oil well, or a flare. However, over the years I've come to realize, there was no people standing in the field, in the middle of nowhere lighting flares. Nor was it a broken oil well, because they aren't build on the side of the highway.

And I'm highly dubious of any government official or pseudo scientist who tells me its swamp gas. The fact is, we saw what we saw. Obviously it was bright enough, that my mother who was driving at whatever the speed limit was, could see it out of the corner of her eye.

My research into optical illusions, and the eyes limited scope of vision are not helping my quest for answers either. If anything, I'm more curious than before, because that greenish flash of light we saw, was anything but ordinary.

4 Orange Lights Over Salt Lake City Utah

Driving west tonight (1/14/2012 at approximately 8:30 p.m.) from about 1300 or so. I saw 4 orange lights in a line formation.

They were probably aircraft going to SLC airport, but they seemed strange, got home about 5 minutes later and tried to see them, but they were gone.

Yes, sorry I didn't give complete information. Flint Lake is in Porter County, just North of the town of Valparaiso. I saw the orange lights at 11:15 p.m.. on Wednesday January 11, 2012.

I notice on the blogs that these orange balls are a fairly common sight. Any thoughts on what they might be? Thanks.

Bright Green Object Falls From The Sky Over Atlanta Georgia

Red Light Witnessed Over Herriman Utah

I just came upon this post and wanted to comment, that me and my 3 kids have witnessed several strange things since moving to Herriman. I can tell you this, before I was not a believer, but after the things we have saw, we are all keeping an open mind.

We have had a triangle shaped object with 3 lights, we could see the outline and it was not a plane. It stayed still several times then went north for a bit, then back south and then west and quickly disappeared.

My girls and I were coming home from my sisters on New Years eve at around 12:30 a.m. and we saw two objects that were not airplanes or helicopters, and one we saw a red light shine 3 times. It looked to be standing still then took off, but as we were almost home, we saw it again.

No I wasn't drinking and my kids also witnessed it. Those are just a few of our encounters. Just thought I would share.

Sonic Boom Heard And Woke Many Residents At Wanamaker Indianapolis

Hello, I heard a loud boom last night (1/14/12). It was at approximately 1:00 a.m. I had neighbors running down the street, garage doors opening to search in vehicles, and people gathered at my neighborhood entrance to look.

Mind you this was at a very late hour, and it was very cold out. It takes more than a small sound to stir anyone, let alone the amount of activity I witnessed (I drove around looking for an accident scene as well).

I do not know what it was, but there are hundreds of witnesses to whatever it was over here too (Raymond and Franklin Road near Wanamaker).

I found it odd that there was no news coverage or explanation. We do not shoot out flares from our fighter jets during most exercises (not necessary, our pilots do not shoot real missiles at each other during exercises)

We call "no joy", or fox "trot 1" for example.

So the sonic boom can be explained to some extent, but I want to know more about the lights as well.

Between 20 – 25 Orange Lights Seen Over Gilbert Arizona

Brian, I live in Gilbert Arizona. My sister and I were taking our evening walk on Friday, 1/13/12, at approximately 7:30 p.m. and also saw between 20 - 25 orange lights in the sky.

They started off low in the sky and moved to the west while dispersing upward and then out of sight, kind of just disappeared. It was very alarming, and thought we were being attacked. It lasted what seemed to be a minute-and-a half to two minutes.

I had time to dial my husband, he ran out to the yard and also saw these. I called the Gilbert police department the moment I got home (5 minutes later) and they had not received any other phone calls.

I’ve been checking the news and YouTube in hopes that someone had seen these as you could not miss this. Regards.

Meteor Changed From White To Green In Color Over Virginia Beach Virginia

I noted the bright meteor that some of you describe at about 22:00 EST on August 3, from Virginia Beach, VA. Very bright (mostly white to green) moving generally to the NNE. This was with locally bad seeing conditions of haze and city lighting too.

It caught my eye already coming overhead just below zenith to the ENE as I was facing north looking at naked eye stars, and continued to below the tree line near the horizon, lasting several seconds. Variations in intensity becoming especially bright before going out of sight.

Some breakup noted resembling sparking. Not much of a trail. No sound noted here.

As far as these orange lights some are seeing, I know the ISS passed over and into darkness here just after the meteor event, coming from somewhere around the direction of NW, heading SE, and going into shadow during that pass. It had passed over earlier in the evening as well.

I know it looked more orange here than usual because of the because of atmospheric conditions at the time.

Oval Shaped Object Seen From New Jersey

I am from New Jersey and I saw this object too. When I saw it my family and I were swimming in our pool, and we then saw the same object described, and we thought it was a firework, but when we thought about it more the less it seemed it was a firework.

For one thing, in was going downwards at an angle. Two, it didn't make a whistle like most fireworks do. Three, there was no "pop" at the end. We heard no impact, but we decided to look for it. We went a couple miles out from where it came from and we didn't find anything.

It was so big we thought it was near us, but it wasn't. It was shaped like an oval and had 2 tips from back to forward. I guess you could say it was a saucer shaped object. What struck us most was the red to green fire.

"Small, fast, bright, silent UFO streaks across Rockford sky at super speed, disappears into cloud.

My little sister and I were spending some time relaxing and talking with a group of friends on the driveway of a buddy's house. We were all sitting around talking, listening to music enjoying a chilly evening like we usually do.

We often sit on this driveway just to enjoy the outside air, and to lay on our backs and look at the stars at night. We look for meteors and interestingly shaped clouds and such because we all tend to have a pretty decent respect for the beauty of nature and planet earth.

Some of us are artists or musicians, while others are simply just free spirits with open minds.

Around 11:00 p.m. central time, we were all still gathered in conversation and laughter when my sister said she saw the most beautifully bright shooting star, and we all moaned for we had missed it. She said that she had never quite seen anything like that before, which got me thinking, was it an extraterrestrial vehicle?

I began to meditate deeply as I do everyday, except I was trying very hard to visualize what she had seen. Before long I could feel something very different and began to see the most beautiful shapes and geometry in the backs of my eyes.

It was then around 11:20 p.m. that we were all somewhat quiet and the music had stopped when a large, bright, amber in color, and extremely fast light shot out from far behind a tree in the front yard and sped in a very oblong arc across the sky first going higher and then lower again and disappeared into a cloud.

When it first appeared I stood up from the ground very quickly shouting "Whoa!", trying to get a better look at it because it was moving very fast, and I didn’t want to loose sight of it.

My sister then saw it too from my reaction and direction of gaze. It looked to be about seven to eight-hundred feet high, the arc of travel spanned a local angle of approximately thirty to forty degrees, lasting somewhere between 3 to 5 seconds.

It was maybe 3 to 4 times the size of a star, 10 to 15 times brighter than any star in the sky, and about one tenth to one eighth the size of the moon. It made absolutely no noise whatsoever, and as it disappeared into a relatively dark and un-viewable cloud above the horizon it seemed to make the tiniest "hole" or impression where it had gone in.

I knew right away that it was too bright, lasted too long and far too low to be a meteor. I estimate that it was traveling somewhere around eight or nine thousand miles per hour, and the intensity of the light never faded save for with distance and cloud interference."

Hey, I live on 10th Ave., and saw a red light with 3 other people. The light was coming west to east doing zig zags, then faded out, got dim and then just gone.

This was from about 12:10 a.m. January 1, 2012 and another sighting ironically around 12:21 a.m. from my balcony.

It was going in a similar direction. It was not blinking or flashing solid bright light until it left right above us.

We observed a bright colored ball going left to right, leaving a long vapor trail that lasted for about 5-6 seconds.

At first we thought must be fireworks, but decided we had seen meteorite. We felt it was going northwest, parallel to horizon. Please let us know what u have learned.

Strange Lights Over Cloverdale

A couple of nights before Christmas Eve a Cloverdale man and his son were driving home along 60 Avenue west from 176 Street in Surrey when they were distracted by some unusual lights in the sky near their house.

The driver pulled over, grabbed his cell phone, and immediately started recording, hoping to capture the strange sight on video.

His Dec. 22 footage – since posted to Youtube – shows several clusters of bright, white lights that appear to change pattern and move against an inky black sky.

Large Orange Objects Falling Over Virginia Beach Virginia

I just about 8 orange lights in the sky around 12:15-30. I was driving home and saw them and then tried to take a picture, but they slowly moved away and were very closed to my house. I couldn't get a picture. Both my son (34) and I saw them. It was very strange.

Hi Brian, they were above Princess Anne Road near Ferrell Pkwy and Pleasant Valley Road in Virginia Beach. My son thought they looked like large orange stars falling very slowly, but I thought they looked liked rectangle lanterns.

When we got out of the car they were moving up and away very slowly. We couldn't get a picture. We did take one and I am going to zoom in later to see if it showed anything, but I doubt because by that time they were leaving. It was so amazing.

When I first saw them they were just there in the sky all I two rows. At first I thought they were fireworks by as I was driving they didn't go away. They were there the entire drive from Princess Ann to our house. Please let me know if anyone else saw them. Thanks.

8 Bright Orange Lights Seen Over Goodby's Creek Area Jacksonville Florida

I live in the Goodby's Creek area in Jacksonville, Florida. Around 9:00 p.m. (12/31/2011), my wife and I counted as many as eight bright orange lights (I counted 7, she counted 8).

We saw them in the southwest for several minutes, and they appeared to be moving steadily toward the east, not speeding up or slowing down, nor changing direction.

They eventually faded out one at a time. The last one faded out almost directly overhead. My wife believes she saw them change directions, but I did not notice that.

I tried to get a video of it with my mobile phone camera, but that didn't work out.

I have never seen anything like this. At first, we thought they might be helicopters from Camp Blanding. Then maybe rockets, but we saw no smoke trail.

Perhaps they were meteors glancing through the atmosphere. They were certainly the right color for meteors, but I'm not sure I'm satisfied with that explanation either.

My wife is definitely not satisfied with that explanation, and she is a meteorite/star-gazing enthusiast. We are both skeptical of UFO sightings and not prone to get exited about such stuff.

But what I saw last night was very interesting.

Green Light Travels Across The Sky Seen From Gilbert Arizona

Two adult men and I as well as my two youngest boys, ages 17 and 14, saw that green light travel across the sky last night. We were about 200 yards from the intersection of Pecos and Higley, in Gilbert Arizona.

It was a very surreal, quite event. Very beautiful! For a brief moment I thought it was some kind of expensive firework device, but it was too far away and covered to much distance for me to think that now.

6 Red Lights Seen South Of Kings Island Mason Ohio

Last night around 8:30 p.m. 12/31/2011 6 red lights just south of Kings Island. I was on Columbia road when I had seen them. There where a couple of cars stopped looking at the lights.

I stopped rolled down my windows and listen for prop or jet engine sounds, no sounds at all.

They where traveling about the same height that the small single prop planes travel. Four where in a tight pattern with one out front and one trailing behind.

Green Object With Long Orange Tail Seen From Albuquerque New Mexico

Green Colored Meteor Seen Between Tempe And Apache Junction Arizona

We were traveling east on highway 60 at about 8:15 p.m. and saw the meteor moving north. At first I thought it surely must be a plane crashing until the light fizzled. Very dramatic, have never seen anything like it!

My husband was driving so he'd probably better remember the exact location. I'd say we were somewhere between Tempe and Apache Junction heading east on highway 60. I will talk to him and get you a better answer.

Would love to have more information about what it was!
