On March 11, 2007 at 1:35 am eastern time, in Indianapolis, Indiana, I was looking up at the night sky near the dipper constellations and saw what looked like a bright ball of orange fire appear out of nowhere and shoot through the sky upwards in a diagonal direction and then disappeared again in a matter of seconds. I have never seen anything like it. I would really be interested in finding out how many other people might have seen this on the same night, and if anyone has any insight on what it might have been? Thanks.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
