Hughson/Ceres/Modesto Area, California A Triangular Shaped UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: In October 2006, at about 11:30pm, I was in my backyard relaxing after work. My home is located with the backyard facing north, and is about 500 feet south of the traffic pattern for the Modesto airport, however I noted no other air traffic at that time. As always, I looked up. As I did I saw a beautiful triangular shaped UFO flying from east to west, toward San Francisco which is about 80 miles away. It was flying at about 500 feet, directly through the airport traffic pattern, and was moving at about 30 miles per hour. The triangle had three very bright, but diffused white lights; one on each triangle tip. It also had a large, very bright and again diffused white light directly in the craft's center belly. It emitted enough light for me to see that the craft was dark color. From my vantage I could see that it had no engines or jets. It made a very soft "whoosh" as it went over, more like wind than the whine of a jet or drone of an engine.

Being a private pilot I am very familiar with aircraft and their propulsion systems. This craft moved by some source other than what I would call earthly. As stated, the UFO continued to travel along the airport traffic pattern, but then continued westward without making the right turn to airport approach. It simply flew away toward San Francisco. I have seen several UFOs in my lifetime. Some at a distance, some very close. It amazes me always that they don't seem to have a worry whatsoever as to whether they are seen.
