Time: Evening.
Hello there, my name is (name removed) and my husband and I live in Medina, Ohio (suburb of Cleveland). We were out in our backyard having a bon fire on July 4th, 2010, we had been outside for about an hour when my husband made me turn to the south of our backyard. What I saw was unbelievable!
There was a big bright amber color glow in the sky. It illuminated like a giant light bulb. It was almost egg shaped at the top and round towards the bottom, with a glow that surrounded the entire object, and two sets of light rays that shined downward off both sides of the object. This was closer then an airplane would be flying.
This is the first time either of us saw anything like this. We enjoy watching the night sky for UFO's, but we have never seen anything fly so close above us before. Not like this! We watched this object move slowly at first, almost the speed of a small prop aircraft, for about a full minute across the sky before it started to dim it's lights and then sped up moving from the southeast sky toward the northeast sky. It sped up so fast, it became distant and further up in the sky then any of our regular aircraft can reach.
This object became one with the stars when it's lights became to dim to see. Were not pilots, but we know what we saw!
