Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Sphere.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was outside with my girlfriend having a conversation around 12:30am when a super bright white/bluish light started flashing and caught the corner of my eye. I said, "what is that"? That's when my girlfriend quickly turned around to see what was happening. The object suddenly stopped flashing the bright light and turned into a bright reddish orange color.
It had a sphere shape to it and was flying at a steady speed. My girlfriend said look, there's another one to the right and it has the same exact color, a bright reddish orange sphere. We then got back to the first object and we noticed it had slowed down, as if it waited for the other object to catch up. When they got close to each other, the first object then started flying forward again and as it got a little further away from the second object, the first one started flashing a super bright light again.
It was a light I have never seen in the sky or anywhere else. The object started flashing on and off super fast for about 5 to 10 seconds, then it stopped and that's when the object behind it did the exact same thing and both stayed reddish and started flying in the same direction.
Here is where it gets crazy, we noticed the first object was getting smaller. We knew it wasn't clouds making it seem that way as it was a clear sky night. So then there was a point when it was so tiny we found it hard to see, it disappeared for a split second, then it appeared again and as it did that, it went straight up into the sky. Everyone was shocked, but the second object just continued getting smaller and smaller until we couldn't see it anymore.
This whole experience lasted about 12 minutes and we were comparing lights with other flashing lights and that's when it got scary as other airplane lights flashed red and blue, but not orange and these 2 objects didn't change color, nor did they flash constantly.
They had a steady orange light. I hope someone else in Long Beach got to witness this sighting. I also read that on the 3rd of July, someone else witnessed something similar. I was shocked when I read about it because it was almost the same experience, hope you guys find it interesting, thanks.
