Bright Orange Ball Over Upper Peninsula Michigan

Date: September 5, 2010
Time: 10:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Upper Peninsula, Michigan USA.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Ball.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We saw a bright orange ball that seemed to have an inner light source that moved around the inside of the orb. It was a perfectly clear night and was over Lake Superior. Moved slowly to the west, then to the east for about 5 min. Then it dimmed very quickly and was gone. Much brighter then any star and appeared out of nowhere and then disappeared.

We then saw what looked to be the exact same object about 1 month later, about 300 miles to the south in Wisconsin, USA. Same characteristics, this time witnessed by about 10 people who watched it for about 10 min, it then also disappeared very quickly.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
