Saw the same thing in Frazier Park California.

Additional Information:

11/5/2010 at 6:47pm pst. Traveling southbound. started as a bright orange tear shape fire ball, lasted about 45 seconds then dim to a single light traveling at the same speed. The speed of this thing was too slow for a shooting star. There were other aircraft in the same flight pattern, and all have anti-collision strobe lights except the the orange object.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
