Time: Approx: 8:15 p.m.
I saw the object Saturday night while driving West on Paseo del Norte. At first I thought it was an airplane because it seemed too low. Then I realized it was green just like fireballs I have seen.
However, it was not round or a ball, but looked like a straight line perpendicular to the direction it was traveling.
It lasted way too long, fireballs I have seen last only a second or two or three, this thing lasted maybe 10 seconds. There were no flames flickering off it like a fireball, but it had the longest tail I have ever seen. And it was burning green, very green.
Time was around 8:15 PM. Spectacular sight for a New Years Eve!
