Bright Orange Object Seen Over San Diego California

Time:  6:55 p.m.

 

Hello my name is Jon, I live in San Diego California. Tonight at 6:55 p.m. I saw a very large and bright orange light in the north sky. The light did not move at all.

I thought at first it was an air plane or helicopter since I live so close to the airports around here.

But the light was very unusual and caught my attention, so I watched it for about 4 minutes then it started blinking, but didn’t move from its location.

The orange light blinked for 2 minutes then went very dim to where you could just barely see it so I went in the house and got my 80X20 binoculars.

Unfortunately when I came back out it was gone, I did look all around and didn’t see it again. Could you please tell me what it was I saw if you know?

I have been going out all night now and looking to see if I can see it again but nothing.
