I just went outside to lock up the cars right around 10:00 p.m. EST and just happened to look up. In the west sky I say a group of about eight large, bright orange, red lights slowly climbing about 45 ° above the horizon.
I ran in the house to grab my camera (managed to get one picture, but I haven’t taken it from the card yet) but I also grabbed my wife to check it out. Couldn't have been 15 seconds passed.
We came back out and there were about three left and still rising but fading in intensity until they completely disappeared all together. And by large I mean, it's hard to make a comparison to anything else in the sky as a reference, but they were larger than any stars.
Still curious after watching the news for about 15 minutes to see if anyone else had witnessed this and called in but nothing was mentioned.
I went in the back yard for a bit and saw another one traveling quite fast this time, going over head from west to east.
It went from red to white then just disappeared. I live near the S.E. end of Livonia.

christmas night at about 6:30 3 of us observed 5 large globes orange/red in color. 2 rose up from the S.E. and moved N.W. toward us. Within minutes, 3 more identical globes dropped out of cloud cover and were in a triangle position to one another.
ReplyDeleteWe watched them for about 15 minutes. The three that dropped out of clouds moved to the west and up through cloud cover. The first 2 stayed about and gradually moved to the s.w. to fade out through cloud cover.
