Hi. My name is (name removed). I live in Hilliard, OH. I decided to do a little Google research tonight on the topic of "orange ball in sky Columbus, Ohio" or something like that. I ran across your post.
Anyways, on May 19, 2012 I was coming home from rock on the range concert, which was at crew stadium, which is off 71 and 17th ave. I was completely sober and I believe the time was around 10:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Maybe a little later.
Anyway, I seen in the sky traveling from east to west what appeared to be a glowing reddish/orange ball. Not a plane, not space debris. It appeared to be moving across the sky at about the same speed you would see a plane going, but this was no plane.
No sound or anything. Just a round, orange glowing orb traveling east to west until it disappeared on the horizon. I was in pure awe watching it. Please keep in contact if you find anything out about this. Thanks.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I saw four orange glowing balls in the sky they traveled at the speed of a small plane going across the sky - no sound. They weren't all together but in different intervals but traveled the same path then fizzled out each at the same spot in the sky. 10:20PM Collegeville, PA August 30, 2012

ReplyDeleteI live in Anderson Indiana and I was standing outside at my bosses house and this was around 10:30 or so when I caught something out of the corner of my eye. At first I thought it was a plan light but as I turned around to continue talking I was thinking to my self that was really low ( tree top hight ) it was an object with a orange burning centre. It moved to fast for one of those Chinese lanterns but had the color of a burning flame ( orange maybe with a hint of reddish ) there was no sound at all to it what so ever. It moved liked it was propelled by something. My boss and I went around to the other side of the trees and found nothing and its not like it would of travled out of sight that fast. So it must have all of a sudden gone out or took off really quick. Never saw anything like it.

ReplyDeleteMy family and I saw a glowing orange-yellowish, almost like a burning flame, ball travelling west to east over our home in Perryville, Maryland tonight, 26 Oct 2013, at around 7:30 pm.
ReplyDeleteHad an odd experienced last night about 10-11ish and traveled over the top of the hill near my house. I was scared because it was slow and was so close to the ground that the hill glowed red, I could see the trees and plant life from a distance in the night. It moved slowly across and faded to the size of speck in the sky so quickly and disappeared. Northern Arizona.
ReplyDeleteIn McAllen Texas just saw 3 within a 5 minute span about 30 minutes ago. No sound, one was directly overhead the other 2 were in the eastern sky & all glowing bright reddish orange until they faded away. I am puzzled as skys are slighlty overcast & really can't see the stars but these were clearly visable!
ReplyDeleteAround 10:30 at night I was in my driveway and saw what I thought might be a planet. It was distant, way too distant to be a plane, and a glowing red orange. I thought it was a planet until it started moving, completely silently, until it completely faded out.

Just saw a red glowing ball over North Olmsted, OH around 11pm. Almost thought it was a hot air balloon as it looked like there was fire below the ball but it was smaller in size. It was moving just above he trees and I lost sight of it behind some trees. Interesting....
