Shape of Objects: Sphere.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son and I arrived home at 11:05 p.m. EST on 8/4/12. As we pulled into the driveway I noticed 3 bright orange/reddish spheres slowly moving from south to east about 40 degrees up from the ground.
We rolled the windows down and turned off the car to listen for any sounds (very common to hear airplane and helicopter traffic in this area). There were no motorized sounds at all. As we watched more spheres followed.
At this time we watched what I would estimate to be 10 to 12 pass slowly in a line. I then put the car in the garage and put my son to bed. West upstairs to look out of my east facing bedroom window and saw 2 more just going out of my sight to the east (not sure if these were 2 more or the final 2 that had gone out of my sight from the front of the house).
All together approximately 10 to 14 reddish orange spheres with viewing time of approx. 10 minutes. It seems that there were several other reports in N.J. and N.Y. of similar sightings on this date (and also several similar reports over various other areas of the U.S.).
