Time: Between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Hello, I am writing because I saw something in the sky last night, August 29th, between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. It was a single large yellow-orange light. At first my friend and I thought it was a helicopter, but it appeared to be traveling at a very high altitude.
The light moved from the south to the north until it slowly faded and extinguished. We could barely see the object after the light went out, but moments later, aircraft littered the sky.
Which isn't unusual, being so close to Willow Run and DTW. Anyway, we were/are both perplexed at what we saw.
