Two Small Meteors With Sparkly Trails Over North Hollywood California

 

Date:  June 14, 2008

Time:  Between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

 

I was in North Hollywood, California. this evening and somewhere between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. I saw what looked like two small meteors (sparkly moderate trails) somewhat side by side heading north. It may have only been 4 seconds time, then it just disappeared in the air.

 

When I got home to Santa Monica 2 hours later, I saw 3 trails stagnant in the sky which seemed to point north (may be unrelated or coincidence). When I told my girlfriend, she mentioned she saw trails up there a "couple of hours ago", strange.

Three Trails Of Orange Light With Sparks Falling Off Them Over Wildomar California

Shape of Objects: Kind of round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I first saw 3 trails of orange light falling from the sky, then for a couple of seconds it was gone, but then all of a sudden there were 3 separate balls of white light flying in a pyramid type pattern.

I wouldn't say they were perfectly round as there seemed to be sparks of light falling from the upper ball of light, this went on for a couple of minutes then all of a sudden they just disappeared.

Vernon, New Jersey Large Object With Blue And Green Trails

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Vernon, NJ USA.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round, giant feathered trail.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was snowboarding at mountain creek in Vernon, NJ last week. I believe it was January fifth, probably around a week ago and it must have been between 6-8 pm. I was with two of my friends on the chair lift when we spotted what looked like a shooting star. It was moving at the speed of a shooting star and when it first entered the atmosphere it looked just like one. Then, instead of burning out after a mere second or two, it continued at the same speed in the same direction, gaining big blue and green trails. The trails were actually very big, and very bright; nothing like we have ever seen before. After about 8 seconds hang-time, it disappeared into the opposite horizon we had spotted it from.
