Hi, I just found this article after doing research from what I witnessed early March 12, 2008. I was driving home a 3:00am when I witnessed this bright orange light in the sky. It looked like an orange bright cross shooting straight up. I figured it was some Army experiment, since I live fairly close to Point Mugu in Southern California. Then this light moved southwest and a tail began to appear. I kept blinking my eyes thinking I was crazy & tired, but I wasn't, since I was amazed at what I was seeing. I was only sorry that I of course was the only person around to witness this.
Once I read the article I was sure I saw the same things, but of course at a different time.

Tonight I was flying over the Point Magu area on a commercial flight home and noticed a giant (size of a large mall footprint) bright orange square of light. There were no beams shooting into the sky, however, it was very odd. Not sure what this things was...figured some sort of invisible shield parameter or some other sort of military something.
