Object/UFO Was LED Bright White Seen Flying Over Charlotte North Carolina

Date:  Fall of 2013 (October or first part of November)
Time:  Approximately 5:00 p.m.

Hello, my name is (name removed). Today I was searching in my "favorites" and ran across your article, apparently I had saved it. I must tell you I don't remember doing so.

I will however tell you, that I have been bothered by the fact that I have seen the exact LED white ball you described seeing in 2012.

I live near Charlotte, North Carolina and it was about 5:00 p.m. I was standing on my back porch, smoking a cigarette and watching from a 10-15 mile distance (as the crow flies) all of the planes flight patterns as they  were coming into, and leaving Charlotte.

Just kind of gazing into the sky. All of the sudden, this huge, I'd say bigger than the moon, LED bright white perfectly round ball appeared a little above the distant tree line and it just hung there for, I'd say ten seconds and then it just started descending slowly from the sky and then it just was gone.

Like everyone else, I really thought I was going to hear an explosion, but there was nothing. Just the commercial airplanes flying in the sky all in the same area of sky as what I had just witnessed.

I have often spoken of this experience to my husband of 31 years and my children. I often look out my porch, hoping to see this occurrence again, but never have.

I witnessed this the Fall of 2013, I'd say the month of October or first part of November.

I am writing you to let you know that I also join, I guess, the select few that have seen this strange phenomena and wonder if you have ever found out what it is.

3 Orange Lights Spotted Over Port Charlotte Florida

Date:  March 15, 2015
Time:  Evening.

My husband and I just saw three orange light cross the western sky.

Two were close and the third tried behind.

Each one disappeared independently upon reaching the same spot in the sky. Port Charlotte, Florida.

Orange Lights/Objects And Some In V Formation Over Charlotte North Carolina

Date:  December 25, 2014
Time:  Evening.

Hi, I saw from an internet search that people have seen orange fireballs flying over Charlotte, North Carolina in the past and you asked people to report to you similar sightings.

Last night, 12/25/14, there were 5 of us sitting outside in our hot tub looking at the stars and saw a series of large orange fireballs fly in formation over the southern part of Charlotte.

They flew in straight lines with a number of them flying in a V formation. This went on for at least 10 minutes. The amazing part, which I have not seen reported before, is they would suddenly go dark and drop something out of them and then start glowing bright orange again.

The items dropped seemed to be like parachutes that floated to the ground. We didn’t have a camera near the hot tub and didn’t want to go look for what was dropped.

We don’t think they were Chinese lanterns because they flew at a constant speed, constant height, were in formations and were much larger than Chinese lanterns we are aware of.

They also weren’t planes or drones because they clearly had a bright orange glow like they were on fire. We thought maybe they were special skydiving planes and the items dropped were actually nighttime skydivers.

The problem is they didn’t land in the same location and did not drop at the same time. I reported this to the local newspaper, but so far have heard nothing in return.

Anyway, we were all fascinated by it.

Red Ball Of Light And Blue Globe Seen Flying Over Sand Hill Pines Port Charlotte Florida

 Date:  July 4, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

My husband and I were watching fireworks from our Lanai on July 4, 2014 when we saw a red ball of light travel from west to east (towards us) at a low altitude and then rise and eventually disappearing out of sight.

There was no sound and it traveled at a low rate of speed. We were amazed and do not believe it was part of a light show as it came from a tree line in the distance and went completely beyond our property at Sand Hill Pines before it's gradual assent.

A few moments later while my husband was inside, I witnessed a faint blue globe of light head back to the origin of where the red light came from.

This would also have been about 10:00 pm.

5 Red/Orange Colored Glowing Balls Of Light Over Port Charlotte Florida

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

On 12-31-12 at approximately 10:00 p.m. in Port Charlotte, Fl., I saw five red/orange glowing balls traveling north, northwest. They traveled pretty slow, one was a little faster than the others. 

I watched them for at least one minute, then I couldn't see them any more. At first I thought someone had fired off a flare gun, but they traveled horizontally, never vertical, there was no noise.

Two Red/Orange Lights Over Charlotte Michigan

Date:  December 13, 2012
Time:  Evening.

I just saw one light, it was fairly red and then a bit orange and it was moving from southwest to northeast.

I live in Charlotte Michigan and was going out to walk the dog so no camera. As it moved away it did appear to be much smaller as if maybe burning up and not just smaller from distance.

I called my kids to come look before it disappeared. Just as we could no longer see it a second one came by just the same. I have never seen asteroids so I don't know and had I known there would be a second one I would have grabbed camera.

Anyway I only saw 2 so I don't know if there had been any earlier. Anyway it was beautiful and I don't believe in UFO's so would love to know what they were. My daughter insists they are Chinese lanterns, but to high to large and to fast for that.

Let me know what they are and if there had been 10 or twelve like others have seen, I am disappointed to have missed them. Made me smile and turned a rather crappy day into something beautiful.

Orange Ball Of Fire Floating In The Sky Over Charlotte North Carolina

As I traveled south on I-77 at Lake Norman. Myself and another driver which was 10 minutes ahead of me, seen a ball of fire floating in the sky. No blinking lights. No rotors. No wings.

 

Just an orange ball of fire. Then my curiosity took me to Google and I found the similar article  that took place exactly 1 year ago. What is this.

Orange Colored Object Travels In The Sky Over Northern Part Of Port Charlotte

 

Date:  April 7, 2012

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

 

We just witnessed what sounds like the same orange object hovering past our place at around the same time (just before 10:00 p.m. Easter Saturday) heading west. No noise, no trail, no aircraft lights.

 

Four adults all witnessed the same thing. We watched it pass over and fly off into the distance until it seemed to stop for a while before disappearing. None of us could work out what it was.

 

We are in the Northern most part of Port Charlotte. There was also a light plane that crossed its path heading south and surely it must have been in their line of sight at some stage.

Colorful Lights Ran Around A Octagon Shaped UFO 500 Yards Above The Ground At Charlotte Michigan

 

Date:  January 3, 2012

Time:  11:00 p.m.

 

Number of witnesses: 1 and witnesses dog.

Number of Objects: 1

Shape of Objects: Octagon.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I opened the back door of the garage to let dog out. I looked up as he raced down the yard, I didn't hear anything, just seen an octagon shaped object 500 yards above the ground moving slowly toward the west.

 

I called my dog and he came back, and we watched it move across the yard, past the neighbors house, no other houses had any lights on.

 

It moved slowly and the colors blinked around the outside of the shape. I didn't see any red or green lights, or helicopter blades, so I am sure it wasn't a plane, to low, or a helicopter, no sound.

 

The object moved west until it reached the outside parameter of the farmer's field and headed northwest.

 

Everyone in the house was asleep, and no neighbors were around to see it.

 

I didn't have my cell or camera, so I didn't take pictures, next time, if there is one, I will.

Football Field Sized Rectangular UFO Seen Over Charlotte North Carolina

 

Date:  September 2004

Time:  5:00 p.m.

 

I witnessed a rectangle shaped UFO in Charlotte, NC September 2004 in 5:00 p.m. rush hour traffic. I was the only one who reported it, and I know others saw it as well. It was about the size of a football field about 100 yards away floating silently.

 

It was encased with army green reflective glass and you could see the panel casing.

 

No lights, no sound. I admit when I first saw it, I thought it must be a plane pulling a banner, but I quickly realized that wasn't the case.

Orange Balls Of Fire Seen At Charlotte North Carolina

Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

Oh my goodness! I witnessed a very similar circumstance last night, May 1, 2011 in Charlotte, NC. I was outside on my balcony at about 11:30 p.m. looking through my phone when something told me to look up. I look up to find three orange balls of light gliding through the sky. Now they were to close to be stars and seemed to far away to be flares.

I know they weren't planes as they didn’t exhibit the red and blue blinking lights that planes flying at night exhibit. They just glided along over the apartment building across the street from me and into the sky. Then one of them began to get smaller and smaller until it was gone, followed shortly by another and then finally all three had shrunk and disappeared.

I had/have no idea what I had just witnessed. I went inside to get a sip of water before coming back out and not five minutes later, another orange ball of fire "rose" from behind the apartment building across the street before following the same fate as the three previously. I am really itching to know what the heck those lights were about. If you have gotten any answers on what these lights could be, I would very much like to know.

Charlotte, North Carolina A Rectangular Shaped UFO

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Charlotte, NC.
Number of witnesses: 1 +
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Rectangle UFO approximately size of tennis court.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving in 5 o'clock traffic on I-85 in north Charlotte, NC towards UNC-Charlotte campus. I was taking an exit ramp towards the university when I looked up in front of me about 150 yards away a rectangular shaped object was floating silently above the tree line. At first I thought it must be a banner being pulled by a plane but I quickly realized that wasn't the case. It was as large as a tennis court. The object was covered with encased reflective panels that were dark army green and may have been reflecting the trees below.

I drove slowly and watched it in utter amazement for about 15 seconds. I had time to take off my sunglasses to make sure of what I was seeing. As the traffic crept down the road the UFO floated behind a tree line and I couldn't see it anymore. I didn't even think to look at other drivers to see if they reacted to it.

As I got closer to the campus, I noticed two cars that were pulled off the road. I was kind of in a daze and was locked in with the rest of traffic so had to keep going.

I've researched rectangle shaped UFO reports and find many similarities such as most witnesses having the initial reaction that it must be a banner being pulled by an airplane. In fact, another rectangle UFO was reported in Charlotte, NC in September 2008, in the same area of town. Seeing this object did change my life in that I know for certain now that UFO's are real and they can do anything.
