Two Fiery Bright Fast Moving Red Objects Seen In The Sky From Elk Grove California

Date:  February 14, 2013
Time:  Just before 11:00 p.m.

Hello, I witnessed something in the sky tonight unlike anything I have ever saw. I am in Elk Grove, CA (just south of Sacramento).

I walked outside of my house to go to my truck just before 11:00 p.m. (on 02/14/13) when I noticed something in the southern sky.

It was two very bright, fiery red objects traveling from the south to the north. My first thought was meteors. Although they were moving very fast (and very high), they were not moving fast enough to be meteors and they had no "tail".

My second thought was nuclear war heads. They were much to high to be airplanes and much too big. One was right behind the other traveling in the same direction.

Then the one to the rear starting moving toward the one in front in an upside down 'V' pattern until it looked like the two hit each other or adjoined.

I thought I was going to see an explosion very high in the atmosphere as if one missile were shooting down another. Then they separated again still heading north. It was almost as if they were playing tag or something.

They would speed up and then slow down. again and again. They were both like massive fireballs. Again, higher than any plane I have ever seen. They were most definitely not airplanes or weather balloons like I am sure NASA would say!

Once they got over the Sacramento area, they both dimmed way down until they just looked like stars in the sky, but still traveling very fast. I watched them until I could not see them any more and then ran into my house and woke up my wife to tell her what I had just witnessed.

She very calmly said, "I believe you, I do not think that we are alone". Damn I wish I had had a video camera! I went and turned on the 11 o'clock news to see if they would report it, but there was nothing about it.

So I started scouring the internet to see if anyone else had posted anything about. I know for a fact that I cannot be the only one who saw it. It was actually very beautiful!

7 Or 8 Red Lights Floating Up Into The Clouds Seen Over Elk Grove California

Hi, my name is (name removed), I just read your posting about the floating red lights. I was searching the internet because my brother and I just seen the same thing about an hour ago. (7:00 p.m. 1/25/2013)
We noticed about 7 or 8 red lights floating up into the cloud while pulling into our driveway around the intersection of Gerber and Power Inn.

They were to the south of us, in the direction of Elk Grove. If you have any luck figuring out what they were I would be interested to know.

Bright Blue Streak Of Light Lit Up The Area Over Elk Grove California

Time:  Approx: 5:20 a.m.

I was sitting in our back porch around 5:15 a.m. on January 17, 2013, facing North in our Elk Grove home, in the southern boundary of Sacramento. 

At approximately 5:20 a.m., I saw a bright blue streak of light lit up our neighbor's pine tree. 

I looked up only to see a streak of "jet like" streak of smoke from the northeastern direction. 

I'm curious to know if it's in fact a meteor, and if so, where did it actually land.

Bright Yellow Light Turns Green In The Sky Over Elk Grove California

Time:  Approx: 5:30 p.m.

 

I was just outside Elk Grove, Ca and saw a bright yellow light shoot across the sky in what appeared to be a downward motion. It appeared to go form East to West. It turned green as it disappeared. It was the most remarkable act of nature I have ever seen.

 

I am glad to see your site here. I did not see anything else about this on the traditional news. Although I did have a friend on Facebook who said they saw it.

Greenish Blue Light Near Sugar Mountain Ski Resort In Banner Elk North Carolina

Date: October 1999

Time: Between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m.

My husband and I live in the mountains of NC and have witnessed exactly the same thing as described on your blog on two different occasions, years apart. If you have any updates or information on what this could be or links to any other eyewitness accounts of such an occurrence please pass the info. on. It's so strange to see it happen. Definitely not a meteor shooting horizontally or at an angle across the sky.

Both times the object seemed to appear out of nowhere, drawing our attention long enough to see it hover then drop straight down. The first time we actually drove as close to the location that we thought the object had fallen as we could to see if a plane or helicopter had crashed and found nothing.

We both knew it looked like nothing we would imagine a crash would look like, though, but wanted to think as logically as we could about what we had seen. The first incident happened over and almost directly in front of Sugar Mountain Ski Resort which is mildly populated. The second appeared over a rural section of mountains, sparsely populated, and we saw both while riding in our vehicle. We have since witnessed green shooting stars which are amazing to see, but look nothing like the other two objects.

Additional Information:

No, been kicking ourselves for not thinking to record the date and times. I can say that the first was in October of '99 near Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in Banner Elk, NC, above and almost directly in front of the slope itself. I'm thinking we were trick or treating with our son so that would make it Halloween and it seems it was later in the evening between 8:00 and 10:00pm. It was either '99 or '98 I know because both of those yrs. we flew from Washington state to visit family at that time.

The second, all I can say is winter, between '04 and '08 just west (south?) of Waynesville, NC heading west on highway 23/74. That's either in Jackson Cty. or Haywood Cty., not sure if we had crossed the line there or not. Hope that helps and thanks for responding. I have only found two other stories of anyone seeing such a thing and that was a few yrs. ago probably right after the second sighting. I found some reports on a UFO sighting website where it had been seen in the North Georgia mtns. and in the mtns. of Alabama. They described it as green. The second we saw was more blue. I figured it was a southern mtn. thing, but not if it was seen in California. I can't remember the name of the website, but it was based in Seattle.
