Flash Of Light Seen From Poconos Near The Delaware Water Gap

Time:  Evening.

Brian, I found your site as I Googled what I had seen in my backyard this evening. I was at my kitchen window (standing there brushing my teeth) when I saw a bright flash. I watched to see if it would do it again, but it didn't.

I would describe the flash like that of a lightening bug, only a lot bigger and brighter and a white LED type light. I was glad to see that there are others who have seen this flash of light, but still wonder what it is and what caused it.

Anyway, I'm in the Poconos near the Delaware Water Gap. Let me know what more you find on this topic. It's got me interested as well. Thanks

Red Lights Seen Flying Over Big Stone Gap Virginia

Time:  Approx: 11:30 p.m.

 

On July 4, 2012, at approximately 11:30 p.m. We seen a red light that seemed to be zig zagging back and forth in the sky in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

 

It seemed to float up then disappear. A second red light reappeared higher and more west than the first. It seemed to disappear when a airline passed near it. After that it was not spotted anymore.

Two Bright Objects Seen On The Western Horizon Over Wind Gap Pennsylvania (Venus And Jupiter)

Time:  Evening.

 

I seen the same thing yesterday. I was walking our dog with my girlfriend and I noticed a bright whitish light slightly above the horizon with another smaller, but bright orange light diagonal to it but lower and closer to horizon.

 

They did not move.

 

So I went in the house. I assume this is Jupiter Venus or mars. Kind of figured something like this would happen since the planets are supposed to align this year.

Two Bright White Lights Seen Over Wind Gap Pennsylvania (Venus And Jupiter)

 

Date:  March 13, 2012

Time:  Evening.

 

There are 2 separate, but aligned stationary bright white lights in the sky to the west of our home in NE PA. They've been there for over an hour, not moving.

 

No sounds. We live near the Pocono Mtns in Wind Gap, PA. 

 

I tried to take picture, but can only capture one.

Any idea what they are?
