Green Streak Of Light Looked Like It Came From The Sky Over Irvine California

Date:  December 18, 2012
Time:  Approx; 1:30 a.m.

I saw a green light/streak while looking northwest from Irvine. The time was around 1:30 a.m., but I'm not sure. I was coming back from a holiday lunch, feeling full and drowsy.

The direction I looked is towards John Wayne airport so I thought I misjudged what I saw, but I asked a co-worker in another car and he said he thought he saw it too. I presume it was a meteorite.

Orange Lights Which Appeared To Be On Fire Seen Over Irvine Woodbridge Community California

Time:  Approx; 9:30 p.m.

 

Hi Brian, yes,  I saw them while I was driving home from the grocery store, around 9:30 pm. I had just turned right onto Barranca Parkway from Paseo Westpark, heading south towards Woodbridge. I looked up and saw a fair number of what looked like globes of fire, and they were all seemingly set inside of three stars. 

 

When I stopped at the stoplight, it seemed as if some of them started to disperse simultaneously, each moving outward from the rest and then seemed to disappear. I looked around the road to see if any other drivers were seeing what I saw, and no one appeared to have seen them, or at least, no one was slowing down or pulling over, but there really weren't a lot of cars on the road either (Woodbridge is fairly quiet in this area at night, even on the weekends).

I made my way over to the Target shopping center on my right, trying to keep my eye on them. More disappeared as I got situated. I got out of my car, and there was only one left, and it stayed there for about a minute, and then also seemed to move away, finally blinking out.

I usually have my cell phone in the cup holder of my car, but it was buried in my giant purse, so I'm furious that I wasn't able to find it in time to take a video or picture. Not sure it would have come out well anyway with the competing lights from the stores and streets, but still, it would have been nice to get something. 

I will keep my cell phone always on the ready now as my Google search last night produced other sightings in this area just this past September and November. They were reported as green, though, so nothing like what I saw last night.

Thank you for having a website that allows for these kinds of sightings. I was beginning to think I imagined the whole thing, so it's nice to have this kind of validation.

BTW, if ever I do experience another sighting, who are the "authorities" that people call? I always hear about people calling and reporting these things, but I'm never sure who it is they call. The police, the media?

8 To 13 Round Orange Glowing Fire Like Objects Over Irvine Woodbridge California

 

Date:  December 10, 2011

Time:  Approx: 9:27 p.m.

 

Number of witnesses: 4

Number of Objects: 8 to 13

Shape of Objects: Spherical or round.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My room mate went to smoke outside. He came back quickly and was yelling for me to go outside quick. "There is a crap load of UFO's outside".

 

I said yea, whatever and walked slowly outside. When I got outside there were approximately 11 round fire glowing objects in the sky. They appeared to be sailing further into the sky slowly until we could no longer see them.

 

They drifted for approximately 1 to 3 minutes.

Is there a chemistry or physics experiment going on somewhere around here ?

Five Orange Objects Flew Over Irvine California

Time:  Approx: 12:30 a.m.

 

Hello, I live in Irvine, CA.  On the night of June 2, 2011 at about 12:30am, I was sitting on my patio just before going to bed. From the east a big orange orb shaped object moved slowly above to the west, then slowly faded out toward the north. 

 

I couldn't tell if it was just fading out, or if it was moving away. I called my husband out to the patio and he saw it too. 2-3 minutes later, another, following the exact same path. It was an exact repeat. Then, 2 at the same time.  2-3 minutes later, exact same path, exact same behavior. 

 

Then, one more a couple minutes after that. There were a total of 5 over about 10 or so minutes. Totally silent. No tail, as though a meteor might have (my husband said he thought it was pieces of a large meteor that had somehow broken up, moving through or past our atmosphere), plus it just seemed to be moving too slow.

 

You could see a very distinct orb shape within the orange fiery light, and they were all the exact same size.  Very strange. 

I could not find any other reports on this sighting from others the next morning, which surprises me because it was such an obvious occurrence in the night sky. I could hear traffic moving on the 405 Fwy even at that hour, and you'd think someone would have seen the strange event. 

 

I even called and left a message at the Orange County Register to see if anyone called in the sighting to them. I left a message and no one called me back. Anyway, I wanted to write it somewhere so if others saw these strange lights and Googled it, they could see my account of it too. I would love some logical explanation of it, but as it stands, to me, these are definitely unidentified flying objects! Thank you.
