6 To 7 Strange Orange Lights In The Sky Over Melbourne Florida

Time:  Approx: 8:45 p.m.

I saw strange orange lights Saturday night (9/13/14). Approximating their position just west of I95, and just south of 192.

My family just left Sam's Club around 8:45 p.m. and saw them in the sky. There were 6-7 of them. They hovered in place for about 10 plus minutes, made a big dipper formation, then slowly disappeared. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

Silent Orange Glow From A Triangular UFO Seen In The Sky Over West Melbourne Florida

Time:  Approx: 12:05 a.m.

I was outside watering plants on my second floor landing when I saw a moving light in the sky out of the corner of my eye.

Looked up, at first thought it was a plane coming towards me (from east to west, basically following Eber Road).

Continued watering plants. Looked up at it again because as it got closer, I realized it was not the light of a plane, it was a glow. Looked at it more closely, saw two white blinking lights on the front, so again thought it was a plane and the glow was maybe because of moisture in the atmosphere.

When I didn't hear any noise as it got closer, I looked up again and realized there was no noise as it got quite close to my location and the glow was an odd color - the weirdest orange color I had ever seen associated with any aircraft.

The glow was also triangular (with the widest part of the triangle closest to the ground and the narrowest part at the top). I could not see the object, just the glow around it and still the two blinking white lights.

I would say it was at least the size of a large, private airplane, but the haze around it made it hard to determine actual size. At this time the object made an actual 90 degree turn north, not a curve, an actual sharp turn, still traveling at a slow steady speed.

It was then basically following Dairy Road. Traveled this way for about 15 seconds, then rapidly swooped upwards in a graceful arc and within 3-4 seconds was gone.

The whole thing quickly faded to a pinpoint and disappeared.

Large Cluster Of 100 Orange Colored Lights Seen In The Sky From West Phoenix Arizona

Time:  Around 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Big cluster of orange colored lights coming from low in the western sky below the crescent moon last night in West Phoenix.

They seem to come upward, then turn right heading in the direction south, then fade out. There must have been over 100 of them it lasted about 10 minutes this was around 9:30 to 10:00 on 1-12-13.

4 Orange Lights/Objects Seen In The Sky Over West Melbourne Florida

Hi, on January 12, 2013 , I was driving east on Henry Avenue in West Melbourne, Florida, when my wife and I witnessed 4 orange orbs in a diagonal pattern all exactly the same distance from each other.

We witnessed this for about 10 minutes and then poof, gone. I had pulled over and some other cars ahead at me had pulled over to watch.

Amazing show, but still want to know what the hell was it.

6 Orange/Red Balls Of Light Above Melbourne Florida

Time:  6:38 p.m.

January 1, 2013 at 6:38 p.m. about 50 of us at Grills Riverside saw 6 orange/red balls of light about 1000 feet up off the river traveling from south to north in V formation then lining up crossing east to west, hovering just north of Grills, then slowly faded out.

Their speed change during the 2 minutes of flight and the direction of one closing into another then back into formation. They did not have any anti collision or navigations lights as required by FAA.

Even the guitar player stopped playing and commented about UFO's above. They were not flares or a weather balloons, definitely UFO's. I'm a pilot and I know the differences.

One Large Blood Orange Glowing Triangle In The Sky Over West Melbourne Florida

I live in West Melbourne, Florida and I saw the same thing at about 12:05 a.m.

For about two minutes, I observed one, large, blood orange glowing triangle come slowly straight toward me.

It moved with no sound and then swooped up into the sky and disappeared.

Orange Lights Spotted In The Sky Over Palm Bay/Melbourne Florida

My boyfriend and I were outside on New Years Eve at midnight, right after ball dropped 2013 and saw orange lights in sky.

Three or 4 triangles turning to like rectangle shaped. Reading the post and seeing that this happened in Palm Bay/Melbourne at midnight is weird seeing as our sighting was exactly that. Strange.

Orange UFOs Hover Above Witness And Another Shoots Into The Ocean At Melbourne Beach Florida

Time:  Approx: 9:45 p.m. and Approx: 8:25 p.m.

This is (name removed), a UCF college graduate in the field of psychology. My number is (phone number removed) if you want to call with questions, feel free. 

My husband and I live in Melbourne Beach, Florida which is about 8 miles north of Sebastian Inlet. On June 30th 2012 at about 9:45, I was out sitting next to the pool when I saw an orange light moving in a zig-zag pattern heading down from the sky. 

This orange/red sphere of light looked fiery in nature instead of solid. It stopped over the house and hovered for about 30 seconds during which I was able to closely observe it until it began moving in an arc (around the pool while I followed it) while simultaneously rising slightly and therefore becoming smaller from my vantage point. 

I watched it as it suddenly picked up speed tremendously and sped off to the north until I could no longer see it at all. The next morning when I told the neighbors the couple both verified that a while later than my sighting, they had also seen orange glowing spheres over the ocean from their balcony. 

They said one shot out to sea while the other shot straight into the ocean and disappeared from view. I cannot verify this as I did not see it. 

Then on September 4th 2012 at about 8:25 p.m. my husband and I were at the beach slightly south of the first sighting at our house when we both saw 2 orange discs out at sea. 

Then another disc seemed to shoot out from one of the two that were already there. We observed all three discs for a few minutes until the third was absorbed by one of the other two discs. Then there were two that we observed for a minute more until that seemed to become absorbed into the other one. 

There was now only one disc and it faded off into the distance.

Orange/Red Lights Seen Flying Over Melbourne Florida

 

Date:  April 8, 2012

Time:  Evening.

 

Three of us were on the back porch last night (4-8-12) and noticed one of these orange/red lighted things in the sky. I live in Melbourne, FL and we faced west. Watched as one moved very slowly north/west and disappeared.

 

Then, noticed an extremely bright light hovering over what looked to be the Orlando area. When we looked at it with binoculars, it also had a red light in the middle area. Very interesting too us.

 

We were on our iPads and laptops trying to find others that were witnessing the same thing. It looked to be in one spot for quite some time and then moved west until it was out of sight.

Two Red Lights Over Melbourne Florida

Time:  Evening.

 

We had anchored our boat just south of the bridge and saw two red orbs appear from behind the buildings to the west. They traveled silently and nearly in tandem east just over the bridge, then rose up to the northeast and disappeared into the clouds.

 

I tried to rationalize it as "St Elmo's fire on the overhead power lines until they took off to the north.

Two Bright Orange Lights Over Melbourne Florida

Time:  Evening.

 

Hi, my name is (name removed). I live in Melbourne, Florida. On the night of January 7th, me and my family were sitting outside and all of a sudden I looked up and saw what looked like to be two bright orange orbs, slowly flying through the sky.

 

One was a little further than the other, but they were travelling at about the same pace. The one that was in front, just slowly disappeared at some point and right when the second one reached that exact point, it also disappeared.

 

We were all confused to as what it was. Then about 30 seconds later we saw one more a little closer to the Earth just hovering slowly up and down in the distance.

 

It was very eerie. After about 20 seconds it also disappeared. I have been dying to find out what it was, then I found your blog about the sighting on the same night.

Reddish/Orange Cone Shaped UFOs Over Melbourne Beach Florida

While waiting for the beginning of the lunar eclipse, my 16 year old son spotted a single reddish/orange cone shape object traveling from the north to south across the sky. Altitude was not discernable, there was no sound emanating from the object. It took approximately 2.5 - 3 minutes for the object to travel across the sky at a constant velocity. My son said that the object just appeared as he was looking at the moon.

We had binoculars to observe the eclipse, and on closer inspection with the binoculars my son described the object as a fiery reddish orange badminton birdy, i.e. cone shaped. In addition to myself observing it with my son, my 20 year old daughter also observed the object. After the object was out of sight, my daughter and I returned to the house, but my son remained outside expecting to see another object. Within 3-4 minutes my son was yelling inside the house that another object was in sight - this time my daughter, my wife, and myself were outside observing the object.

This one was following the same trajectory, however, it's track was approximately 10 degrees more easterly in the sky. As this second object started to disappear in the southern sky, two more objects appeared in the northern sky. One of them followed approximately the same track as the first object, and the other one followed the track of the second object - i.e. their east/west position in the sky as they both travelled north to south. None of the objects produced any discernable noise. They did not have any strobes, nor did we see any kind of rotating beacon, or green starboard light on the object.

We've lived on the space coast for nearly 18 years and have seen scores of space shuttle and rocket launches from Kennedy Space center and Canaveral Air Force base. The color and intensity of the objects were similar to that of a rocket plume, but did not have any corresponding noise/vibration, nor did it appear to travel with the velocity necessary to achieve orbit.

The speed was constant, not accelerated. I am an instrument rated private pilot with hundreds of hours of flying time. I also have a Bachelors degree in Physics and in Aerospace Engineering. I am 50 years old and have never seen anything like these objects in the sky. A video clip from my son's iPhone was taken, but not does share anything besides our comments for a brief period and a dot of light.
