3 Red Lights/Objects In The Sky Above Memphis Tennessee

Number of Objects: 3, but 2 at a time.
Shape of Objects: Round.
Colour of Object: Red.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I came home from work around 1:00 a.m. New Years Day. As always, I let my dogs out and I will star gaze.

This morning however the sky was cloudy except for what appeared to be 2 red stars. One was moving, the other just hovering. eventually the hovering one faded away, but also around then another star appeared.

As it got closer to star #2, star 2 faded. I thought perhaps dud fireworks, but 3 and there was no noise or smoke when it faded.

Only what looked like a black ball in the sky.

White Orange Fireball With Tail Spotted Over Memphis Tennessee (Fireball/Meteor)

Time:  Approx: 9:15 p.m.

 

I'm pretty sure I saw the same fireball, only I live in Memphis. I saw it to the NE of my house. It came streaking across from NW to SE and was the brightest thing in the sky.

 

Had a great tail and definitely looked pretty similar to the picture you have posted. Glad to see Someone else saw this too.

Navy Pilot And Family Baffled By Orange Light Over Memphis Tennessee

Time: Evening.

We also witnessed the orange light on July 3rd. We live just outside Memphis, TN. My husband (a Navy pilot), 2 of our children, and I were all swimming when I noticed the light. I asked my husband immediately what it was and was surprised when he didn't know. It travelled very steadily and quietly for at least 45 seconds.

He too said that it looked like some type of rocket, or burning engine, but was not convinced that it was either. He has spent a lot of hours flying at night and had never seen anything like, which gave him the chills. I guessed it was a meteor, but after doing a little research, that didn't seem right either.

From where we were it seemed to be heading SE to NW and originally thought it was fairly close to Earth. However, we found out later that night that a friend's son had seen it from Indianapolis, so we knew it was further away than we originally thought.
