We also saw a light like described. But there was only one. It was round, red/orange and yellow.
Silent and came from the south and headed directly overhead heading north.
We live in Eldridge, IA.
It was about 6:50 p.m. and afterwards thought perhaps a Chinese lantern. We have heard a couple of people who live 15 miles east of us, they thought they saw some type of shooting star but knew it wasn't that.
For us, it was absolutely directly overhead and not too high, although it was dark so maybe it was higher than we realized. Very strange though. Quiet. No blinking lights, round. It was definitely some type of craft.
My husband spotted it through the leafless trees and we watched it approach overhead and yelled for our sons to run out the front door because it went overhead and they saw it from our front porch.
Very weird.
