I saw several red lights traveling east to west from Doral, FL heading towards Everglades and points west such as Fort Myers. 12:30 a.m. January 1, 2013. 3 in one group, 2 in a later group heading toward same area.
Have video of latter 2 will post to YouTube tomorrow. Strangest lights I have ever seen.

I saw them too! 3 of them to be exact flying above the palmetto highway heading west. It was around the same time also.
My parents and me witnessed them too!! Took some pictures, but came out blurry But interesting... And I counted at least 8 or nine in between 12:30 and 1:30 am heading towards the Everglades .
