Strange/Unknown Lights Over Camp Pendleton California (Picture)

We have a very similar story. This picture was taken last night from our house in San Clemente, overlooking Camp Pendleton. What is it?

Glowing Orange Light And Helicopter Over Rifle River Camp Grounds Sterling Michigan

Time:  Evening.

I was camping at Rifle River Camp Grounds with a group of friends when 5 of us sitting together witnessed an orange glow moving beyond, but just within the tree line above us.

At first glance, I expected it to be a reflection of our campfire in the sky somehow. When it started to move across the sky, all of our attention was focused on the light. We watched it move very slowly until it finally peaked out of the tree tops into view, then disappeared.

It's hard to say what time it was as none of us thought to take note of the time. The rest of our group didn't believe us. About 15 minutes after we saw the light, we heard a loud, fast chopping sound coming from behind us.

Confused and eager, we all waited as the noise grew larger and closer. After a long waited anticipation, ripping across the sky above us was a helicopter without even a headlight, or even a flashing indicator light.

The helicopter was flying directly in the direction we saw the glowing orange light. I still have no idea what it could have been.

Shockingly Bright Orange Globe/Light Seen In The Sky From LA To Camp Pendleton California

Time:  Around 11:45 p.m. and 12:00 a.m..

 

My girlfriend and I were driving from Los Angeles to San Diego, much like this couple and we could see the shockingly bright orange globe all the way from LA to Camp Pendleton, until which point it disappeared behind the hills that line the coast.

 

We were shocked at it’s brightness, and just before the light went out of view, we thought we saw a smoke trail rising above the orb between about 11:45 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. We'd love to know what this might have been.

 

We've never seen anything in the sky that made us think "aliens" quite like this.

Bright Objects/Lights Seen In The Sky In The Direction Of Camp Pendleton California

Time:  Evening.

 

I happened to notice bright objects a few degrees right of the moon, disappearing and reappearing. Considering the light pollution of the moon, the magnitude of these lights was incredible.

 

I took photos and video footage on my IPhone.

 

With the naked eye, it was hard to tell if it was nearby our outside the atmosphere. Judging by how bright, I thought it couldn't be a star or planet. However the objects moved several degrees at a time as I was staring at a frame of reference.

 

I just thought it was very peculiar, and weird, so I stopped to take some footage. Now that I think about it, the lights did appear in the general direction of Camp Pendleton

Large Orange UFO/Globe Spotted In Sky Over Camp Pendleton California

Time:  Approx: 11:30 p.m.

 

Last night about 11:30 p.m. our daughter came running into our home saying "guys, look out the back!  There's a weird large glowing orb, it's huge!" My husband, daughter and another family member and I, all casually walked outside to view this huge light. 

 

It was exactly as your previous viewer witness described. Our daughter that first brought this to our attention, said she and her boyfriend were heading home when they noticed the large glow in the sky directly over the Camp Pendleton area. 

 

Initially they thought it looked odd, as it seemed to be in alignment with their view of the moon and thought it was a star or a satellite. But felt it was odd as the "movement" was one of the light hovering over the direction of Camp Pendleton and was orange in color.

When we viewed the light from about 11:40 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., it seemed to have a plume of smoke, but did not dim down the way a lighted balloon might, also it seemed stationary, when suddenly the light disappeared and as quickly as it was gone, it reappeared above and over to the right of the point where it disappeared. 

 

This happened about four times. Finally about 12:10 a.m. a helicopter which was obviously different in it's movement and the lighting, was significantly smaller and lower in height, began to move in that general area. 

 

The large orange glowing orb light did not return after that point. 

 

We are residents of the Laguna Niguel area with our backyard facing southward towards Camp Pendleton, California.

Orange Colored Object Over The Commissary On Base Camp Pendleton San Diego California

Hello, I told my friend what I saw and he did a Google search and found you.

Last night at about 11:30 p.m. my girlfriend was driving home from work on interstate 5 headed north from Encinitas to Carlsbad she spotted this orange flare like craft in the air.

When she got home she said I had to go out and see this, I went outside and saw it in the distance.

We both looked at each other jumped in my car and decided to get a closer look.

I drove to Highway 76 From Carlsbad on one side of camp Pendleton and could not get a close enough look, jumped on the 5 North again and we drove alongside Camp Pendleton getting much closer to the object, it seemed to be over the commissary on base.

It looked as if the sky had torn open just slightly, it was an orange light unlike anything I have ever seen in my life. The closest thing I could compare it to would be something out of a movie. 

As we got directly in front of it, it seemed to shine brightly and then the light just dimmed quickly and turned off, you could see a black or shadowy outline of it as I kept driving we lost sight of it.

 Sadly in rushing to see this we left our cell phones at home and have no evidence but we will never forget what we saw.

Large Blue Ball Of Light With White Orange Tail Flew Over Angels Camp California

Time:  Around 6:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m.

 

Hi, on Saturday March 10, 2012 around 6:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m. me my husband and our two friends were outside having dinner while camping in Angels Camp California. Suddenly a huge blue ball of light with a white orange tail flew over our heads.

 

It seemed so close. It was very scary, it seemed to be shooting across the sky for a long time, then just when we thought it may be heading for the ground, it just blinked out, didn't dim, but went out completely.

 

I found it very unsettling, I have never seen any shooting star or meteor shower like it before. I have been on the internet ever since trying to find any information on the ball of light and your website is the only one I have found that has acknowledged this phenomenon.

Triangle Pattern Of Lights Seen From Vista California (Camp Pendleton Lights)

Time:  Approx: 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Hi, I live in Vista and from approximately 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. tonight I saw the same lights as described on your website on January 12, 2011. I first saw 4 lights, then they would disappear and come back in different configurations of 1 light, 2 lights, or 3 together.     

 

At times they would all disappear and then come back. They would form a triangular shape, then one of the lights would disappear and come back into a different shape.  

 

I also live on a hill in Vista. There is not a cloud in the sky at the moment. They were very bright and seemed to pulsate. Are they doing some kind of different testing? I have lived in this house since 1995 and have never seen anything like this before. Thanks.

Three Triangular Shaped UFOs Seen From The Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton California

Date: Early 1990’s

Time: Evening.

While stationed on Camp Pendleton for TAD in the early nineties for reactive armor upgrades for the AAV there, I saw something similar. I was working second shift. We were doing two twelve hour shifts to get all the mods done. During my break I walked out to the bay behind the ramp where all the vehicles were kept and I was looking at the water.

I thought I saw three triangular shaped objects in the water. There was no noise. Then I realized that what I was seeing was a reflection of something in the air. I looked up to see three smooth black triangles floating by at a constant speed in a triangular formation.

There was no light or sound and the only reason I could see them was because there was a bright moon and the reflection of the moonlight off the calm water refracted off of the bottom of the objects which were no more than 500 feet off the ground.

They were each about thirty feet from corner to corner and completely smooth as far as I could tell. I have only told this story to a few select friends because I'm still not sure what to make of it myself.

Two Huge Balls Of Fire Over Camp Pendleton

Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Brian, I found you on Google. Last night I came home with my daughter and I slept on the couch. I have a view of the valley I am on a hill in Vista. At about 9:00pm last night I saw 2 huge balls of fire, at least that’s what it looked like in the sky over the mountains of Camp Pendleton.

They moved very slowly, then disappeared. They came back again a couple minutes later and disappeared. They reappeared a third time and one descended on the mountain.

Then they were just gone. My daughter saw it as well and she told me that is not the first time she had seen it before. I got a video camera and if I see it again I will post it on YouTube.

Military Serviceman Films UFO Over Camp Pendleton (Pictures)

Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m.

Here is the picture that I took from my iPhone. There were several witnesses in my base housing area that saw it.

At first there were 3 lights forming a triangle. Then one of the lights (the one in the bottom right corner disappeared.

I was able to snap this photo before it finally disappeared entirely. It happened on August 19, 2010 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

After the sighting I called PMO and the Sgt on duty said that they've received numerous phone calls about the strange lights and that it was the Game Warden using a spotlight. 

Included is the original photo and I went on my iMac and zoomed in and tried to change the exposure to see the object better.

Not sure if you guys can professionally clean up and zoom in on the photo, but you can see an outline of a triangular craft.
