Real Wolfmen: True Encounters in Modern America

Summary of Real Wolfmen Reviews for Real Wolfmen

What’s hiding in the woods? Here is the definitive account of today’s nationwide sightings of upright, canine creatures – which resemble traditional werewolves – and a thorough exploration of the nature and possible origins of the mysterious beast.

“She has the ability to send chills up and down your spine.” - Brad Steiger, author of Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places

“If you thought the likes of The Wolfman, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Underworld had no basis in fact, it's time to think again!” —Nick Redfern, author of There's Something in the Woods

“Real Wolfmen is a riveting work of amazing scope and depth. You’ll be hooked from the first page.”--Rosemary Ellen Guiley, author of The Encyclopedia of Vampires and Werewolves.

The U.S. has been invaded – if many dozens of eyewitnesses are to be believed – by upright, canine creatures that look like traditional werewolves and act as if they own our woods, fields, and highways.

Sightings from coast to coast dating back to the 1930s compel us to ask exactly what these beasts are, and what they want.

Researcher, author and newspaper reporter Linda S. Godfrey has been tracking the manwolf since the early 1990.

In Real Wolfmen she presents the only large-scale cataloguing and investigation of reports of modern sightings of anomalous, upright canids.

First-person accounts from Godfrey’s witnesses – who have encountered these creatures everywhere from outside their car windows to face-to-face on a late night stroll – describe the same human-sized canines: They are able to walk upright and hold food in their paws, interact fearlessly with humans, and suddenly and mysteriously disappear.

Godfrey explores the most compelling cases from the modern history of such sightings, along with the latest reports, and undertakes a thorough exploration of the nature and possible origins of the creature.

Circle Of Red Lights And Orange Elongated Object Spotted Flying Over Yorba Linda California

Date:  April 6, 2012
Time:  Approx: 7:45 p.m.

Hello, my son and I saw something very similar to the Pasadena report.

We are in Yorba Linda (No. Orange County, CA) it was Friday evening around 7:45 p.m. or so. My son, who lives 6 blocks from me, calls about a dozen red lights in a circle moving across the sky.

By the time I got outside, the red circle was gone, but there was an elongated object moving very slowly to the north/east. It glowed orange, like it was on fire, but had some red blinking lights.

It appeared to stop, and finally started to move upwards in the sky, until it disappeared. My son and I were still on the phone and said at the same time, it's gone!

This was not a plane, it made no sound.  It was there and then gone.

Very freaky indeed. I have ever seen anything like it in my 63 years on earth.

Orange Lights Seen Over Redlands And Loma Linda California Turn Out To Be Chinese Lanterns

Date:  March 2012
Time:  Evenings.

Vike Factor Note: I would like to thank the gentleman for sending in the information.

Hello Mr. Vike, several night watchmen at my company have seen the orange light a number of times this week. We believe that Chinese lanterns are the culprit. They are being launched several times a week now from the Redlands or Loma Linda area.

The balloons use a burning fuel cell sometimes made of wax. They can fly for around 20 minutes before going out. Just before the lantern go out it drops streams of burning wax all over the ground, then flicker out.

This is only a problem when the lanterns hover at 10-20 feet off the ground where they could start a fire. From even a small distance at night they just appear to be an orange fire hovering around the mountain side.

The manufacturers of the product claim their lanterns are completely biodegradable.

I don't think these are safe to be launching into the heavy commercial, private and Military air traffic that fills the San Bernardo night sky, or  sending flammables hovering over the San Bernardino mountains range which is on fire nearly all spring and summer each year.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

UFO Filmed For Approximately Six Minutes Over Yorba Linda California

Date: February 14, 2010
Time: Between 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Brian, not sure if I am using this email/blog/site correctly, but I can't believe what I just saw. I just recorded (DVD) approximately 6 minutes of this anomaly that you wrote about tonight. I live in Yorba Linda CA and was just taking out my garbage with my son and he pointed up in the air to a flying (?) which was very close, just above and super bright light in the sky. It is like nothing I have ever seen. It was a solid bright whitish light at first, then started pulsating green, white in the middle and red on the other end/side of the flying object. Scary.

At one point it looked to be flying around an airplane (which by the way looked polar opposite than this object). Never would have believed it. It was so very different than anything else in the sky (planes, helicopter, etc.) and had no sound to it whatsoever. Hopes this validates what you saw. Wow!

Recorded between 8:00 - 9:00pm (not sure yet) until I confirm via camcorder.

Yorba Linda, California Green Object With A Tail

Date: June 5, 2009
Time: 10:10 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Yorba Linda, California USA.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Circle with tail.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving home eastbound on the 91 freeway when I saw an object falling to earth. It was like a comet with a tail and glowed green. It was falling so fast that all of the traffic slowed down. I thought for sure there would be percussion from an impact. It disappeared behind the mountains on the east side of the freeway and I lost sight of it. When I got home, I turned on the news expecting something to be on telling me what it was, but there wasn't anything. How can that be when I know at least 100 people saw what I did.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
