Date: April 1, 1981 Time: 6:00 -7:00 a.m.
Location of Sighting: I-90 eastbound, just outside Albany NY Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Sphere.
Full Description of event/sighting: My good friend and I were traveling by car eastbound on I-90, headed trout fishing, just outside Albany NY, when up ahead we saw several cars pulled off to the side of the highway. We thought it was an accident. As we slowed, we could see a crowd of maybe as many as ten people, were out of their cars and motioning to the sky. They seemed frantic, so we pulled off to see what was going on. The occupants ran to our window and informed us that they had all witnessed UFO's. We got out, and suddenly, on the horizon, what seemed like a few miles ahead, rising up from ground level, about the size of the full moon, a magenta sphere shot up, to a point which appeared to be a few hundred feet. The object then stopped dead in the sky, motionless, and just sat there for a couple seconds.
Then it shot straight across the horizon to the south at great speed and stopped dead again. But this time it began what can only be described as a pacing motion, back and forth, as if it were a football player looking for a hole to access. It was then, while in motion, it made a right angle turn and shot straight up and out of sight... at an unbelievable speed. At the time we talked of the speed with which it shot off into the heavens as "hyper-spacing." As it vanished into the atmosphere it left behind a magenta cloud which hung eerily in the morning sky. The sky was clear up to that point and the odd cloud took many minutes to dissipate.
To our amazement, two more spheres followed and performed the exact same maneuvers. The people from the cars stated that they had seen other spheres before these. Everyone seemed to be in a state of euphoria. Back home, we tried to report the incident, but because it was April Fools' day, we were blown off. In my life I have had two other less dramatic sightings which both had witnesses as well. These sightings have changed my life and I now have an insatiable thirst for UFO related information.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
