My boyfriend woke me up last night around 9:15 p.m. or so and we live in Upstate, New York, an hour from Canada.
We definitely saw what looked like a plane, but no sound. It was red in color. It moved really slow, then changed direction and slowly got small and, puff it was gone.

We saw the same thing, same night. We were in upstate NY right on the Canadian border. One light that almost looked like it was round with a tail of flames, followed shortly after by another. The second caught up with the first, then made a short quick left turn. It flew over into Ontario and disappeared without landing. Any idea what it was?
Hello, I live southwest of Albany NY near Schoharie valley and just witnessed what seemed to be a similar object. It was about 8:50pm tonight and what appeared to be a ball of orange light approx. few thousand feet off the ground seemed to travel at a high rate of speed like a rocket. It travelled up and then seemed to stay stationary but i think it was traveling away from my view since it got smaller and eventually disappeared into space within a matter of about a minute or so. I've lived here for about 10 years in the same location and have never seen anything like it before. I videoed it on my IPhone but it just looks like a small dot of orange light since there is no zoom on the Iphone video.
