Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m.
Hello, we are located in Polk City, FL and saw very bright colored lights the evening of September 28, 2012. We were on our front porch, which faces west, about 8:30 p.m. when we noticed them.
I thought it was a star at first, but noticed such beautiful colors. We looked at this through our binoculars and couldn't believe the vibrant colors of red, orange, yellow, green.
Sometimes the lights would change and go straight up and down and sideways, like the shape of a cross. The lights appeared to be perfect circles. Then it would change and just stay around this object.
This object appeared to be very high in the sky and we watched it for almost an hour before we saw it "slowly" move more west. We watched it until we couldn't see it anymore, it definitely seemed to be in no hurry as it left.
We were wishing for a "speedy" exit to get more of a confirmation of what we saw.
Regardless, this was something we have never seen before in our entire lives! Looking forward to "porch time" tonight and maybe another show.

I saw something over the lake Alfred sky probably late 2013 (I wasn't the only one who saw it) that is hard to describe. At first it looked like a shuttle launch with the bright orange streak behind some kind of vessel propelled upward. When I thought it was leaving the atmosphere it sort of hovered, then 3 or 4 bright orbs came out of the vessel and orbited around it for a minute then it all disappeared but a smoke-like trail. I didn't hear of any official launches that night. I am not sure what I saw but it kind of freaked me out, as I am used to seeing vessels launched into space being born and raised in central FL. I'd love to hear of any similar sightings. Thanks!
