Neon Blue Light Brightens The Sky Over Tampa Florida

Time:  Approximately: 7:30 p.m.

Hello, I stumbled on your site today after looking for some answers of what I saw last night. I was out in south Tampa, Florida at a rooftop restaurant with some friends just after sunset.

Around 7:30 p.m. or so three of us all saw this magnificent almost neon blue light eliminate a very large portion of the sky.

There was also a large white circle of light that was low in the sky. The white light was visible for only a few seconds before it disappeared and the blue flashes lasted around 5 or 6 seconds.

I have not been able to find any information online as to a power issue or a blown transformer in the area.

If you have any information I would love to hear from you and if anyone else reported seeing it I would love to know.

Object/Light Looked Like It Was On Fire In The Sky Over Tampa Florida

I saw this tonight in the eastern sky near Tampa, Florida.

It started out fairly low and almost looked like it was on fire.

Then the trail dropped off and it started looking more like a 'normal' light in the sky (less intense, less red).

5 Red Lights/Objects Were Observed Over Tampa Bay Florida

Date:  December 13, 2014
Time:  7:20 p.m.

My name is (removed) and I filmed five lights in sky 12/13/14 at 7:20 p.m.

Have video and called Bay News 9, and they laughed at it.

Made report to MUFON. They were very close and seen by my wife and son.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, your welcome and we are still a little freaked out of what we seen.

The lights were visible for a total of 10 minuets. The first two were spaced about 10 seconds apart. Once the first one was too far to see anymore then came another.

Once the first two passed a large commercial jet (Allegiant Air) was passing by (as they all seem to make this big U turn over this neighborhood) he had all lights on, landing gear down and could see interior lights on. Very loud as always.

Once it passed and in the same area started theses red orange orbs/fireballs started again. This time I had our Sony Sure shot filming a total of three more came about 10-15 seconds apart again.

They made no sound and looked the same from them coming to us and going away from us. Same color, brightness, size, and direction/speed. Came from NW headed SE.

They were close enough to be able to see clearly, and I don't know what we were looking at. Looked like no more that 100-150 feet high. Witnessed by Me my wife and son.

The sky last night was very clear and was in lower 50's. As crazy as this sounds this was not the first time we seen these orange/red orbs.

Was seen New Years Eve 2012 around 4:00 p.m. still very daylight out and I, wife, and Grandma as well as a few neighbors witnessed.

The same orb like lights, but these were zigzagging all over the place was amazed on how fast they moved.

I'm not real good with converting video from this camera to windows 8, but I do have the video. Thanks for responding so quickly, I have not heard from MUFON as of yet reported last night.

Three Red/White Flashing Lights Hovering Over Tampa Florida

Date:  August 15, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Today is August 15, 2014 I have seen three red/white flashing lights hovering over Tampa, Florida around 10:30 p.m. I drive home every night this way and have never before seen anything like this in the sky.

I know for a fact it was not stars and they seem to be a pattern and seemed to generally stay that way.

I lost sight for about 15 minutes (I got home and got a camera) I went back to see them and they were gone.

Amber Colored Lights Observed In The Sky Over Lake Carlton Arms Tampa Florida

2/14/13 My wife and I saw 4 of these amber colored lights coming from north of Van Dyke (we live in Lake Carlton Arms) heading south east.

Orange Ball Of Light Directly Over Tampa Florida

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  7:30 p.m.

7:30 p.m. orange ball of light directly over Tampa. Viewed from Davis Island with Seven witnesses.  Appeared to move north south blinking and jumping in semi straight line. Then it paused looking like the exhaust of a military jet engine.

Like looking into a furnace. No noise. Made a  sharp turn west-northwest and accelerated upward and away until it faded away. Watched for five minutes. Color was orange/red/yellow and very bright.

Movement was strange and blinking in and out as if it was trying to fade but couldn't.

Very clear and obvious that it was no plane, helicopter or some kind of fireworks. It appeared as if it was being flown not just flying randomly.

3 Orange Lights Spotted Over Tampa Florida

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  10:19 p.m. - 10:27 p.m.

Last night at 10:19 p.m. in the midst of all of the fireworks, three large orange lights moved on from the southeast.

As we waited for them to explode into fireworks, they formed a line and moved over our house.

We could see that there were orange lights blinking on their edges. 

Then a fourth one came from the west and took a position at the rear of the line.

They seemed to maintain a speed as they continued to the northwest, which would  have put them over downtown Tampa. They were visible until they were too distant, or flew into a cloud bank.

We are at Lat: 27.84736 Long: -82.28924.  Sighting: 10:19-10:27 p.m. EST.

Unfortunately we were unable to get to our high quality cameras, but hopefully there were other observers.
Speculation: Something from McDill AFB, but, if so, it must've been something new from DARPA.

4 Orange Lights Observed Over Tampa Florida

Date:  January 1, 2013
Time:  12:18 a.m.

Dear Brian, driving home in  Tampa, Florida at about 12:18 a.m. I spotted for the first time what I believe were UFOs.

I saw four orange lights in the sky. One was by itself on the left of me and three were to the right.

As I was driving up the street and was looking up and down while driving, the three lights appeared to move together to form a straighter line of three. I arrived home and went to take my dog out within 15 minutes of the sighting.

When I looked back up at the sky, there was no longer a clear sky, but a cloud pattern and the past full moon shining down through an opening. It seemed impossible for the clouds to move in so fast. They didn’t even appear to be moving but just sitting there.

Orange Lights In The Sky Travel Over Tampa Florida

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  11:40 p.m.

I read your write up about orange lights seen in Jacksonville on New Years Eve.

I actually seen this same thing in Tampa, Florida at 11:40 moving southwest.

My kids and I thought it might have been fireworks, but as they got closer, it was obvious that it wasn't fireworks or planes.

I took video on my phone of the one, the quality isn't great, but I did capture it.

We watched the one that was further south kind of disappear like it was traveling straight up (like the space shuttle did - you would see the orange glow and it slowly disappears).

Two Red/Orange Objects That Looked Like Bright Fireballs Over Tampa Florida

Saw two red-orange objects that looked like very bright fireballs, one trailing the first, flying silently from the south to the northwest at just before 1:00 a.m. visible for a few minutes (neighborhood tree tops on the south to very low clouds on the northwest).

These looked two to three times larger and brighter than the ISS.

10 Orange Lights Spotted Over Tampa Florida

Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

Last night (November 22, 2012) me my wife my brother and my neighbor saw 10 orange lights in the sky over Tampa. They came in 2’s  right behind each other, well not right behind each other, a little distance behind each other. It was about 8:30 p.m.

I live in Town n country Florida about 8 miles from old Tampa Bay. There was no flashing lights and no sound what so ever, they were going fairly slow. Slow enough that we could see all 10 of them at one time.

One was getting fairly close to another, one then it moved away. Then they slowly disappeared into the night sky. Never seen anything like this before in my life. My e-mail address is (email address removed). Let me know if you here anything on this. Thank-You.

12 Orange Colored Lights Over Tampa Florida

Time:  9:00 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was outside at night looking towards the south at strange lights. Thought maybe just a couple planes taking off from Tampa International, but the color of the lights were more of a orange glow.

I didn't think much about until about 12 appeared glowing bright orange in a perfect circle in the sky. Then the glowing orange objects sort of broke out of the circle formation and left in different directions.

A couple stayed in the sky for a short period and then they were gone. I know other people had to of seen this!!

Approximately 100 Lights Seen Over Tampa Florida

Date:  November 10, 2012
Time:  Approx; 9:30 p.m.

On November 10, 2012 at about 9:30 p.m. me and a friend saw about 100 lights on the horizon going up for about ten minutes then disappeared. We were looking west.

I can't believe no one is reporting this. Looking at Google Maps, this must have been right over Tampa, Florida.

3 Bright Orange Objects Flying Over Tampa Florida (Photos)

Orange Light Spheres Seen Flying Over Tampa Florida

Date:  November 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

It was last night, Saturday, November 3rd at about 8:30 p.m. and I was on the St. Petersburg side of Gandy Blvd headed west (there is a bridge that goes to Tampa and this is not too far from MacDill AFB).

I was parked at a red light and looked toward the SE a little and saw these orange balls of light coming up from the horizon, maybe 4-5 of them and definitely coming from a location close to the AFB.

They seemed to move in unison and were in some kind of formation, but would move out of the way to make room for the others coming from below.

I have a feeling there were more of them to come, but my traffic light turned green and I could not drive back to check it out further, but will keep my eyes open for more occurrences.

Also, this morning, it is quite foggy and humid with a very heavy smell of pesticide in the air (which is somewhat "normal" here in FL). Any correlation to chemtrails, cloud seeding, weather or times of the month/moon cycles, etc. when these things occur more frequently? Thanks.

Football Field Shaped Object Around 20 Miles North Of Tampa Florida

Date: Late Summer 2008 and early Fall 2008.
Time: Approx: 2:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: 20 miles north of Tampa, FL.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Rectangular.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I think I saw the same thing that someone else has posted. It was a football field shape and about 200 feet high and 1/4 mile in-front of me moving across the 589 Tollway. The one I saw did not have bright lights, it was black and white and you could see through it. I think it was the same thing and maybe something for advertising, but I really would want to know what it was. There were no airplanes around it and it made no sound.

It did look like something that would be pulled behind an airplane and it wasn't. I also saw it maybe 4 miles south of Tampa later in the year, but there was no apparent way to get to where it was. It seemed to be the same position, maybe 200 feet in the air, but not moving this time. It was stationary. Well, let me know if anyone else has seen this thing and let me know what it is.

Tampa, Florida Rectangular UFO The Size Of A Football Field Or More

Hello, I was searching on the internet for reports of a UFO that I saw in Tampa around 2004, and I ran into an article on your website that seemed to match

Personally, I am interested in contacting this witness, because they said they had some drawings. Do you know how I can contact this person? I didn't see
an address anywhere. Also, I would be interested in posting an attached witness account to this, or a very similar sighting.

I only saw one craft, but it was hovering very low, just above the tree-line, so I got a very close 5 minute look at it from my yard. It was going very slow. I really thought it was a blimp at first but the more I looked at it, there were no markings or cabin etc. It was very odd and was completely neon with 2 or 3 alternating colors. It was also about the size of a Football field or more and was in a rectangular shape with rounded corners. In a way, it looked like a lot of inner tubes within each other. That is why I thought it was a blimp, especially since it was glowing neon colors.

However, it would seem that someone would use this as an advertisement since it was so bright and glowing. There was no cabin or basket so it must have been helium or something, if it was a balloon, and thus unlikely that it was uninhabited by people. That's why I was baffled that there were no advertisements or markings. It seemed to serve no purpose unless it was a designed hoax. It was too magnificent, bright and large for someone not to want credit or use it to their advantage for ads. The more I stared at it, the stranger it looked. It finally went over the trees and I couldn't see it anymore. By this time, I was compelled to jump in my car and follow it, but I decided against it. Now I wish I did. ha!
