Bright Flame Object Changed Into A Boomerang Shaped UFO Over Costa Mesa California

Time:  Approx: 6:40 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Seen from Costa Mesa, CA. We just saw the same thing while in the Jacuzzi tonight 6:40-45ish. When my "'J' my man" said look, what is that? I looked up N/W and saw a bright light/flame (thought maybe a plane), which quickly turned into a red boomerang shape (thought a helicopter).

It was moving pretty quickly, then just hovered. I thought it was the local Costa Mesa helicopters, so "no big" and went back to relaxing. That's when my "'J' my man" said,

"It's disappearing", as he watched the glow turn to nothing. (wow)

I looked up at the sky, but it was gone. Very interesting. My first thought was meteor, but the hovering was a bit confusing.

Wondering, did anyone else see this. Maybe a new craft we've developed, that would be awesome.

Large Ball Of Bright Light Fell From The Sky Over Carlsbad Near La Costa In California

I just read your article after getting on line to see if anyone had posted anything on what I just saw. I saw exactly as you describe a very large ball of bright light just appeared in the sky and then it fell straight down very rapidly into the dark.

I was waiting to see a burst of flame or something. I did freak when I saw it, because I was sitting by a window talking to someone looking out the window, when in appeared in the distance.

The person I was talking to had their back turned to the window.

When I saw it, I gasped and pointed out the window and said OMG, look at that what is that, he got annoyed that I cut him off of his conversation and I gasped at what I saw.

He would not look, but I know what I saw. I ran down to the computer to see if anyone posted anything.

I was sitting by a window that over looks the city below and I believe it looks north of the I-5 or the 405. I do not know this area very well, but I do know what I saw, and want to know what it was. 

I am in Carlsbad near La Costa in California it was between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. when I saw it. It was very clear out and it was way to big to be a star.

Flying Saucer With Rotating Lights Seen Over Costa Mesa California

Time:  Around 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 4

Shape of Objects: Thick round saucer.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went outside for a cigarette and noticed a band of what seemed to be rotating lights. So I called one of my friends out, for a second opinion on what it could be. It was too slow to be a plane, definitely was not a helicopter, and was too small to be a blimp with scrolling letters.

I called out the rest of my friends to watch it with us, and they also couldn't explain it. Shortly after they came out, it disappeared behind some clouds. I will put a link to a picture of about what the dimensions were on it. It was this shape, but upside down.

It appeared to be slowly rotating with slowly changing colored lights, though in the beginning it seemed to be a solid color.

Domed UFO With Colored Lights Around It Over Costa Mesa California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I usually see lots of aircraft pass by my window, when I saw a light. I thought it wasn’t any different. But, all of a sudden, I noticed that the lights were moving in a circular rotation and had many flashing lights. Spooked the hell out of me.

Additional Information:

About the object I saw: It was a domed saucer, the top dome was bigger than the bottom. The dome shape was not ridiculously domed, but still visible. Where the two domes meet, there was a band of circular lights that seemed to go all the way around in a circle -0-0-0-0-0- (like that) and were red and yellow and another color, blue or green.

I have seen all different types of aircraft fly by my home, but that was the first time I saw something like that. It seemed to meet by the 405 and 73 freeway. I know there's an airport close by and a military base, but I know it wasn't something normal.

Bright White Circular Object Over Costa Mesa California

Time: 6:43 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Costa Mesa, CA.

Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While traveling south on Newport Blvd. at 18th Street in Costa Mesa, California, we saw straight ahead a bright white circular object rapidly fall from about 30 degrees above the horizon to a point approximately 3.8 degrees to the west on the horizon. The fall lasted approximately one second.

The path was an arc, somewhat as one would expect a falling meteor to take. The light suddenly appeared and stayed consistently bright until it reached the horizon. I believe it was far enough away to have fallen into the Pacific ocean which was at least a mile away. The diameter of the circle was approximately 0.12 degrees. The round appearance in the dark was as if an airplane landing light were aimed directly at us. There was no sound.
