Eyewitness Observes Glowing Orange Light/Object In The Western At Central Illinois

Date:  February 13, 2015
Time:  7:40 p.m.

At 7:40 p.m. to the west of my home in Central Illinois, I saw a orange glowing ball of light.
It was very slowly lowering to ground.

I really couldn't believe what I saw. I used my binoculars and it appeared to radiate red and a slight blue. This took place on 2/13/15.

If anyone has had a UFO/UFOs sighting, please send me an email at sighting@telus.net or fill out the online UFO report form at http://sightings1.yolasite.com/ with details of what you saw.

Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Orange/Yellow Objects With Black Unknown Following Behind At Western Massachusetts USA

 Date:  July 19, 2014
Time:  9:36 p.m.

Hi, I had an almost Identical sighting to the one posted. I was driving in Western MA,turnpike 90 west at around 9:36 p.m. I was one minuet from exit 5.

I was with my kids and on the phone when on what would be my horizon at that point a helicopter light looking objects taking off. I thought nothing of it being near a military base.

I saw one, then two, then three, then four etc., up to between 7-9 of them. I still thought not much of it just "wow, that’s quite a few."

I continued for a maybe 10 seconds back to my phone conversation and I looked back up and those objects had changed color into orange/yellowish orbs of fire-like color light.

It was organized into an arch shape, although it wasn't a perfect arch. It was coming down the highway at me. Others saw this, they were all honking their horns like crazy, they saw it too!

I was swearing into the phone in dis-belief (which I don't do). I eventually past under and looked to the left. At the left of the formation was 2 of the orbs relatively close out of formation and a very black object following close behind.

This was the detail that really caught my attention as the other poster said. This object was not very large, but wow it was blacker than black so much so that against the night sky it still stood out like a color of black that is impossible to replicate.

It was not normal. I have live near a Military base my whole life and none of these objects are even close to explainable. I eventually got off the highway and had to get out of my car to collect myself. The sighting was on 7/19/14 at 9:36 p.m.

About 20 Bright Red/Orange Lights Cross The Sky Over Western Davie Florida

Date:  February 9, 2013
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Last night, February 9, 2013 at about 11:00 p.m., we watched approximately 20 bright red/orange "lights" cross the sky from northeast to southwest.

They moved silently, at intervals, across the sky. They were extremely bright at first, then diminished at the same point in the west. They were not hidden because there was very little cloud cover.

At first, I thought something flying was on fire, but then another, then another appeared exactly the same. They lasted for about 30 minutes. We were watching from western Davie, Florida.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

Red/Orange Balls Of Fire Seen In The Western Sky From Boynton Beach Florida

Date:  December 24, 2012
Time:  7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Hey, this one has me stumped. This was one of those things I just had to write down and try to just be factual.
Suburban neighborhood. Street lights 3 to 4 houses away each side. Holiday lights at residence.  Home on a street running close to North/South.

Sky conditions: Mostly clear and cool, ~68 degrees Fahrenheit. Some high stratus. Near full moon. Moon position about 70 degrees up from east (90 degrees being overhead) and 60 degrees from south at first sighting.

Sky view: Approximately 150 degrees from South to North. (180 degrees being on a flat ocean)

During an early Christmas Eve party 2 guests were leaving at about 7:30 p.m. After exiting the home, one guest quickly ran back inside asking others to come outside immediately. Fearing some sort of accident or injury, I ran outside.

Upon exiting I saw 2 bright red/orange “balls of fire” in the western sky. Several other guests, including children came outside. When the kids asked what it was, someone made the comment that Rudolph and his child were flying Santa’s sleigh.

The 2 objects were bright. Brighter than any star or planet in sky. Not as bright as the moon. The light emitted was not a point, but rather a ball spreading in all directions from the center. “Like a light bulb”. Color varied from deep orange to bright red.

The objects were about 20 degree of arc apart.  (I am using degrees of arc because I have no idea how far away or how high these things were.) Both objects were traveling from South to North.

When I first observed them, they were perpendicular to me and kept there intensity of brightness as they moved. With in 20 to 30 seconds, the objects were farther north.

Then the trailing object began to quickly fade. The “ball” became a pin point, flickered and disappeared.

This was approximately 40 degrees from the north horizon. Within 10 seconds more, the leading “ball” did the same as the trailing “ball”. Position was approximately 30 degrees from north.

At this point my guests, who know I am a pilot, asked me what I thought it was. My reply, I have no idea. The objects made no sound, even 20 seconds after passing. The objects had no other observable lights (rotating beacons or strobes).

These objects moved from south to north with no visible arcing, i.e. curving down like a falling object. Nor did they take a rocket like trajectory. (We got to see Space Shuttle launches from our back yard all the time.)

The speed was constant.  The time to go from my first observation to fade out was no more than 40 seconds. Other aircraft were observed in the sky and you could see normal lights and times crossing the sky.

At this point, this could have been dismissed as too much holiday cheer. However, this was not the case. After our guest got in their car and left, we all waited for a few min and went back inside talking about this. Several jokes about the Mayan Calendar being off a few days were made.

About 30 minutes later, we were back outside seeing off more guests. On of the kids began yelling there’s another one! He was desperately pointing south.

I was able to observe a single ball at about 20 degrees up from South horizon. Between the trees and houses to the south, it looked almost like a rocket launch.

However, this was because it was so low on the horizon. This was the same intensity as first seen with the earlier 2 balls, perhaps slightly brighter. This time the path passed almost overhead. The object held its brightness just as before.

I walked to several different points in my yard and street to insure that this was not something very low (less than 100 feet). It was not a bug or a bird. When it did fade to a point, it was about 50 degrees from north and appeared to be higher in the sky.

I was unable to say how high the object was. The time to go from visible horizon to fade out was no more than 70 seconds.  Again, no sound, even after passing.

Several more witnesses speculated on what it could be. After some discussion, a forth ball was observed. This time more east. The to of the path was about 70 degrees up from east. All observations were done from the front of my home.

I did try to get some photos with my camera phone, but the lighting never allowed a good photo.

Discussion:

As a pilot who did his first solo in 1979. I have seen many things that I could not initially explain. But normally after some quick research or just discussing with others, an explanation was found.   This one has me stumped. Some key factors leading to this dilemma.

1) The balls made no sound. Repeatedly I ask my guests to be quiet and listen. Even after 10 seconds after they passed perpendicular to our observation. No sound was heard from them.  Other aircraft were heard and sounded normal.

2) The time to travel form South to North was about a minute. This is much quicker than a passing jet at high altitude. Even faster than a helicopter at low altitude.

Having no way to tell how big the object really is or what it was, I do not know the altitude of these objects. Therefore, no way to say the actual speed.

3) Light observations were unique. Lights from an aircraft have some unique features. Especially at night.  Strobe lights and rotating beacons can be seen for many miles on a clear night.

When a plane is coming toward you head on and the landing lights are on, you may not see them, but if the plane turns slightly you can. The ball of light did not change from approaching to parallel to past my position.

The fade out to the north of us, was very quick. If the light was from a normal landing light, it would not be observed when parallel to us.

4) Positions were different. At first when I saw the 2 lights west of us, I thought maybe it could have been a reflection of some sort. However, the light was the same west of us, overhead and slightly east of us.

The observations were made over 1 hour.  Jets at high altitudes were observed and at their regular positions and tracks. These paths of lights were different yet did not matching earth rotation either.

5) The path traveled did not match any know air route in this area. Both high altitude and low altitude. Nor did it match any of the typical helicopter routes that have been seen.

Also, this did not appear to fall or curve like a flare would. It looked more like a rocket launch than an aircraft flight.  But did not match that either.

So, I am stuck.  After checking the www, several other reports were made about this, however, nothing in our local media. I do not believe that ET was going home or coming for a visit. But I can not explain this one. Let me know if you have any ideas what this could be or other factors I should have included.

Glowing Object Zips Around The Sky Over Western Maryland

Date:  March 17, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Around 9:00 p.m. in Western Maryland I was next to my camp fire laying on my back and saw what I first thought was a shooting star. It flew in a way that was almost identical to a shooting star.

It was bright and it flew for about 7 seconds in one direction, then zipped all most instantly all over the northwestern sky in unbelievable speeds before disappearing.

Right before it started zipping and it was still going in one direction. I noticed it was solid black and reminded me of a rocket of sorts.

No abnormal colors just a solid glow like a star.

This is my first sighting and was the only witness. Thanks.

Glowing Red/Orange Object Flying Over The Western Horizon And Seen From Soldotna Alaska

Date:  January 8, 2012
Time:  8:30 p.m.

Good Morning, I am an avid sky watcher and have lived in Alaska for almost 40 years and have never seen what I saw last night. I was looking out my kitchen window in the rural area of Soldotna, Alaska at 8:30 pm on 1/8/12 which was a cold, crisp, snow covered night with a very bright moon.

Off on the western horizon appeared an orb that glowed red/orange and moved slowly across the sky. It went behind the trees and I didn't follow up by going outside as I should have!  My partner was downstairs and didn't see it, but did ask on FB if anyone else saw it with no confirmations as yet.

Orange Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle Over Western Hills/Bridgetown Area In Cincinnati Ohio

Date: July 25, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:20 p.m.

I've been searching the internet all day today to see if anyone else saw this last night. At about 10:20 pm Sunday July 25, 2010 my partner and I saw a very bright orange glow light flying toward us. We're in the Western Hills/Bridgetown area in Cincinnati OH.

There are many airplanes that fly over our house to the CVG Airport, but this object was coming from a different direction. When it got closer, I saw what looked like 5 bright orange orbs in the shape of a triangle. The orbs traveled at the same speed and appeared to be coming from one object.

It wasn't traveling as fast as a plane and wasn't as high in the sky. The only sound I could hear was a slight hiss or hum. Definitely not the usual sound we hear from a plane going over. My partner thinks it was a hot air balloon, but I'm no so sure since we couldn't see anything that looked like a balloon or "basket" hanging below it. I know there has to be others that saw this too.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Bright Orange Lights Over Shickshinny Western Luzerne County Pennsylvania

Date: July 4, 2010
Time: Between 10:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Good Morning, my name is (name removed) and I live in Pennsylvania. Specifically around Shickshinny, PA in Western Luzerne County. Sunday night (July 4th) somewhere between 10:30pm and 11:30pm, my wife and I were watching local fireworks displays and I kept noticing this super bright star in the sky. I found it intriguing, since it was so large and bright (it looked more like a flashlight pointing toward us).

As the fireworks were dying down a bit, I went downstairs for a moment. Suddenly, my wife called me and said to hurry back up and look at the sky. I looked out the window and just to the right of that bright star was this huge, bright orange light flying very slowly. It didn't look like a plane, since it didn't have any other blinking lights. Then I thought maybe a helicopter since we get quite a few of them flying around us, but we always hear them and usually never that late.

This light made no noise whatsoever and had no blinking lights to identify them as a plane or other commercial aircraft! We both ran downstairs to try to follow it as it left the view of that window, but we couldn't find it anymore on the other windows. So we just went back up to watch the rest of the fireworks.

As soon as we looked out the window again, we saw another orange light exactly like the first one. At this point we are freaking out a little bit wondering what this could be. It followed the exact same flight path as the other one and was glowing just as bright and big as the first one. The first one had more of a reddish glow and the second one was more bright orange.

They both looked bigger than that huge, bright star and flew very slowly and made absolutely no noise. I grabbed the digital camera, but couldn't get a fix on it. I can't explain what I saw, but it was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I have always believed there was something more in the universe, but I know for sure now after Sunday night (and also reading the countless blogs and forums confirming the same sightings) that there must be something out there. But what?

Thank you for your time. I hope we can figure out what these are. It's definitely very interesting to me.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

8 To 12 Red Lights Over Western Prince William County Virginia

Date: 06/04/10 and 06/05/10
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m. both evenings.

Location of Sighting: Western Prince William County, Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 3 first night, 4 the second night.
Number of Objects: 4 white objects 6/04 and 8-12 red ones on 6/05
Shape of Objects: white oblong, and round/triangle shaped red ones the following night.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was right after dusk on 6/04 when I went out on the deck and observed strange balls of white light, three at first then four. At fist I thought it was a spotlight show, but when I realized the configuration of the lights could not be a light show. I went and got other people to observe what I saw. They moved west across the sky at a slow pace and after 30 minuets vanished.

The following night my friend came running in shouting, you have to see this! I went outside and saw 8-12 red lights in the sky. I don't know how long they were there, but I only got two on film before they quickly disappeared. I looked on YouTube and saw the exact lights in almost the exact same formation sighted in the UK, Mexico, Florida and Arizona.

We live in a very populated area and someone else had to see these lights! In addition, Dulles International Airport is very close and someone had to have seen them from the air! Please give me an explanation. I thought for sure it would be on the news!

I have requested a photo the witness took of the sighting.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
