Time: Approx; 5:00 p.m.
Don't know if it is related, but around 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon I was sitting with a client in her home and heard a loud boom. Kind of sounded like a plane breaking the sound barrier.
Later heard that a meteor was spotted in the area around Walker Co. 10/30/12 at the same time.

I saw an oranage sphere in the sky last night 10/31/2012 it looks like it was on fire but not moving at first. There was no tail trailing behind it this was like at 800 830 p.m. North Richland Hills Texas....wtf
On 10/31/2012 @ approx. 5:30 p.m., my husband & I were in Rock Mills, AL (Randolph County), riding down the road & saw a meteor shooting to the ground. I've never seen one that big, colorful, & close to the ground. The colors rapidly changed just before it burned out right at the top of the trees. It was a pretty scary sight to see! We had the radio on & turned up, so I'm not sure about any sounds it may have made.
