Two Burning Orange Lights Seen Over Antioch California

Date:  September 6, 2012
Time:  Evening.

I saw something very similar tonight here in Antioch, CA, USA.

There were two orange lights.

One moved further north and disappeared. The other changed course. It appeared to trail a couple small sparks. Then it dropped what seemed like fire, vertically down.

Literally stopping in the air and dripping orange, like a candle would drip wax. Then as this happened the light dropped vertically down until unseen.

I called the police as this occurred and they had no reports of a crash. And the CHP helicopter had reported no sightings either.
