Commercial Pilot Observes Bowtie Shaped Object Which Changed Into A Triangular Shaped UFO Over Central Pennsylvania

Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

 

Hi Brian, my girlfriend and I watched something in the Central Pennsylvania sky last night I can't explain. I just feel the need to share it with someone.

 

I have been a commercial pilot for years, and consider myself a very reliable witness to anything that passes through the sky, but for the first time in my life, I have no explanation for this one.

 

Time was around 8:30 p.m. April 3, 2012. Skies were mostly clear, with a few high clouds. We were in our hot tub, in a somewhat rural, mountainous location, so there is very little light pollution.

 

My girlfriend spotted an object crossing through the sky, and by the time I had turned to see, the object was beginning to fade in intensity. I estimate it to be several miles away, and a few thousand feet in altitude.

 

It was passing east to west, against the prevailing winds. Surface winds were light from the west. To best describe the object, the overall shape could best be described as a bowtie.

 

The edges were not defined, and it had the appearance of being cloud-like, but it kept its shape the entire time. Again, it was traveling into the prevailing winds, and at a rather fast pace.

 

We watched it for about 30 seconds until it faded from view. We kept following what we thought would be its track, and it re-appeared as a light, increasing in intensity, eventually taking a triangle shape. 

 

We watched it for about 30 more seconds as it faded into the western sky. I estimate we watched it cover 5-7 miles in about 90 seconds. It made no sound, and I'm sure this was not an aircraft.

 

My estimates of distance make this object fairly large in size. I can rule out ground lighting or spot lights based on its passing over several large hills. I clearly saw something I can't explain, and I'm curious if anyone else had the same experience. Thank you.

Helicopter Pilot Shines Spot Light On Two UFOs Over Loudoun County Virginia

Location of Sighting: East Route 50 at Route 15, Loudoun County, Virginia.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my way to work on that very, cold, below zero temperature night, while snow and sleet continued falling on the ground. As I approached the traffic light that sat at the intersection of Route 50 at Route 15 (in Loudoun County, VA) I noticed some alarming bright lights above in the sky.

As I looked up, I saw what looked like two full moons, side by side. One would hide behind a puffy white cloud that was before them. The other one would wait for the one hiding behind the cloud to pop back up, then that round object would hide behind the cloud.

They took turns doing so. I pinched my face and skin. Because of the weather and road conditions, all motorists were encouraged and advised to stay off the roadway and schools were cancelled for the next day. But, I had to go to work. My vehicle wasn’t he only vehicle on the road (at that intersection) at that time. I could not believe my eyes. Then out of nowhere, came a helicopter. I could see the red light flashing on it.

I could easily identify it as a helicopter. I saw when the pilot obviously turned on his (or her) spotlight. It shined on these two bright unidentified objects in the sky. At this point, I am thrilled. I assume that the pilot of that helicopter got a close up of what I was looking at and would make headlines in the morning paper.

I just knew that I would read about it in the morning newspaper. I was more than excited about being a witness to this. I watched the helicopter fly slowly (and I mean slowly around these two circular objects (with it's spot light on). I had no camera or cell phone with me. But, I just knew that this would be all over the news. As I continued driving, I could see the two big bright solid beams that shined from the two unidentified objects down unto a snow covered area to my right.

I wanted to stop and follow the beams, but I was too scared. I will never forget those lights. Unidentified and they were pulsating, spinning around and popping up and down behind a cloud, one at a time. It was fascinating to be honest. By now one of my co-workers had set out to look for me because I had not made it to work. I ended up seeing my co-worker on Route 50.

We pulled over and one the first things that he said, that I mentioned was about those unidentified lights. To this date the only logical explanation for those lights, that time of night and shining that bright under those extreme weather conditions has to be either UFO's or our military personnel. Otherwise, there is no other explanation for beams or circular lights that bright. I wish that the pilot of the helicopter would talk.

I would love to share what I saw from the ground and love to hear just what he (or she/the pilot) saw at eye level in the sky facing those lights.

Unreal. I wish I would see this all over again, this time with a camera or video recorder.

Navy Pilot And Family Baffled By Orange Light Over Memphis Tennessee

Time: Evening.

We also witnessed the orange light on July 3rd. We live just outside Memphis, TN. My husband (a Navy pilot), 2 of our children, and I were all swimming when I noticed the light. I asked my husband immediately what it was and was surprised when he didn't know. It travelled very steadily and quietly for at least 45 seconds.

He too said that it looked like some type of rocket, or burning engine, but was not convinced that it was either. He has spent a lot of hours flying at night and had never seen anything like, which gave him the chills. I guessed it was a meteor, but after doing a little research, that didn't seem right either.

From where we were it seemed to be heading SE to NW and originally thought it was fairly close to Earth. However, we found out later that night that a friend's son had seen it from Indianapolis, so we knew it was further away than we originally thought.

Yuma, Arizona Naval F4 Fighter Pilot Watches Red Objects From His Home

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My father was a Naval F4 fighter pilot at Yuma's Naval Air Station. We lived on base housing and our housing unit looked south toward the Mexican border, over a chain link fence and on the other side miles of large citrus groves.

My dad had a nightly habit before bed of going out on the patio during the spring or fall when it cooled down to smoke his cigars/pipes. My mom wouldn't let him smoke in the house.

I was 9 at the time and would not even remember the event if my parents and the neighbors hadn't made such a big deal about it.

My mom called me down from my room, out on to the back porch, where my dad was standing out in the yard instead of sitting in his chair smoking. They pointed to a bright red light hovering toward the mountain range in the distance (maybe 15 miles away?). It was large enough to make out a disk shape (not a point like a star, but more like Mars with a discernable disc). It did not do much - just hovered perfectly still for a few minutes.

After a few minutes a small point of red light descended from the larger one toward the ground. I think it joined again (that is the story I had heard from my mom), but honestly, I do not remember where they went. I was only 9 and quite frankly lost interest after ten or so minutes of standing in the cold. My parents would not take their eyes off of it though, and stayed outside in the cold air for at least another hour talking about it. I went inside.

One reason I have never forgotten or dismissed the incident, is that the next day, my mom cut out a news paper clipping of a boarder patrol agent or police (can't remember which) that was much closer to the sighting and he described in detail exactly what we had seen. The paper also said that a large number of reports had been made to the police and a large number of inquiries were also called in to the naval base dispatchers and military police.

We never got any more information from the base or papers, or news, so I tucked it away in my memory, and only really think about it when I come across someone talking about a similar incident. I happened onto another post on your website by (name removed), that seems to describe what I believe is the same sighting.

This event may have been military testing, or something covert, but it was not fabricated. Thousands of people stood watching something they had never seen before that night in Yuma, some of which were naval pilots and ground crew living/working on the base that shared their experience with my dad.

I only post this so that (name removed) and others who might have been in Yuma during that time will know that other people saw this as well.

Dansville, New York Pilot Comes Out Of A Cloud To See A Huge UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: I and fellow sailplane pilots, we were getting ready for a day of flying at the Dansvile airport, we were have just general conversation about and with one of our instructors that myself and a fellow pilot that we admired. The instructor was known to not to drink or smoke, and we make a comment about this and other things that he didn't partake in. He didn't have any religious practices and he with out any question was one of the best that would never say anything wrong about anybody. Just a good person.

Seeing we had him in a talking mood, as we walked across the airport, me and my fellow pilot figure we'd ask him if he ever seen a UFO. So we asked the biggy. "Hey (name removed), have ya ever seen a UFO", his reply was just ya, he was bout 15 feet ahead of us as we walked. We reminded him that we were having a conversation. Jokingly, what was it.

As the story goes, he was up in a sailplane in side of a cloud (this is a no, no per the FAA) and was getting some good altitude,15K and was starting to get a bit cold, so he figured he would come out the sunny side to get some heat in the cockpit. He came out of the cloud expecting to get some sun, but was now in the shadow of a huge object. We asked him what did he do. His comment was he went back in the cloud, hoping he wasn't seen by them. He was noted for always carrying a camera, so we asked if he got a picture. His comment was, "I didn't have a camera, and now ya know why I always fly with one now. He described the object of being to big to fly, and we don't have anything like this that we could get off the ground. This was back in the 70s. (Name removed) was a glider pilot in the 2nd World War and as for trying to keep his health so he could keep flying until he was in his 60s, was interesting. He's in his late 90s now, and in the Spring you'll find him at the air port still doing the thing he loves the most. I personally think he got zapped, 95 years old and still flying. He fly's the tow plane when it's his turn, and still gives instructions.
