Fast Moving Neon Green Glowing Object In The Sky 15 miles Outside Of Wytheville Wythe County Virginia

Hello, last night I was traveling through Virginia near Whytheville, Virginia, perhaps 10 - 15 miles past the town on 77 south, I saw a green glowing craft, round in shape.

It shot behind the trees of a mountain so fast, I thought perhaps it had crashed, only there was no loud crash noise or explosion, presuming it would make such a noise, no fireball.

This thing was so big, I thought perhaps it was an asteroid fragment or something, it took only seconds to realize it would not be glowing green if it was a fireball, it was a neon kind of glow. It was pretty amazing !

I looked online to see if anyone else may have seen it too, it's how I got to your page.

It was rather remote and somewhat late, perhaps between 11:00 p.m. and Midnight.

I was behind the wheel and it happened right in front of me, so I had a really good view. It was one of those moments where I had a burst of adrenalin, at first it startled me, I literally jumped when I first saw it, because it was so close and seemingly "falling" from the sky so fast,

It was frightening, but then excitement from realizing what I had just saw. This was not my first sighting, I have seen other types, I  even got some photos on July 4th, 2014, but this craft was so close it was quite the rush and quite unlike anything I've ever seen.

Oh, there wasn't too much traffic, but perhaps someone else saw it, or got a photo?

Small Lights Fly Around Then Return To Main UFO - Filmed Over Culpeper County Virginia (Picture)

Hi, I'm (name removed) in Culpeper County, Virginia. I found your website after Googling, "lights, sky Luray, VA."

So I'm outside with the dogs at 10:30 p.m. and noticed this unusual light. Now we live out in the country with a nice, dark sky with a great view of the blue ridge about 17 miles away, no/little light pollution.

This light seemed to be moving slightly. Up and down, side to side, almost quivering. I spent about 10 minutes trying to determine what it was, but with my 50 year old eyes I couldn't tell. So I got my 21 year old son and my zoom binoculars and with them realized that it was actually 3 lights.

So I got my 24 year old daughter out of bed and she came out with her 10X optical/40X digital zoom camera and started taking pictures and movies.

Now the weird thing, we are in the flight path for Dulles and planes go by frequently. So a plane enters from the distance and this light goes out, gone!

Four or 5 minutes later, after the plane is gone, it pops back on and it's back. Just as if somebody turned the light switch off. This happened 4 times.

All of us also saw tiny lights that seemed to come out of this main light, fly away and return to it. It was still visible and hour later when we quit watching.

I just looked at her pictures and I'm attaching the best one.

Hi again, my daughter zoomed in, made it bigger. Fascinating!

Orange/Green Glowing Round Object/UFO Seen From The Hills Of West Virginia

Date:  November 23, 2011 (?)
Time:  Approximately 9:00 p.m.

I saw a large perfectly round object glowing orange and green. It was at night at about 9:00 p.m. or so. I live in the hills of West Virginia and moved from Pennsylvania.

I am about 2,400 feet above sea level. It was on I think thanksgiving eve.

The next day 3 hunters came up to hunt and they also saw it and we talked about it and how there was no trail of smoke etc., following it.

I think it was in 2011. It could not be more than 2 or 3,000 feet high. To this day I still cant get over it.

Spinning Globe/UFO With Beam Of Sickening Blue Light At Jonesville Virginia

Date:  Spring of 1977
Time:  Around midnight.

Brian, I hope this note finds you doing well and I'm sorry I have put off this email so long, sometimes I'm willing to "chew" on what happened on that particular night in the Spring of 1977, and sometimes I'm unwilling, this morning, I feel inspired to share.

When I first emailed you in September, I had just been through a very interesting Summer in that several things happened that oh so reminded me of a night in 1977 that taught me what fear was.

My father had just sold our small family owned Chevy dealership and purchased a bigger Chevrolet store in a slightly larger market. This southwest Virginia town had at that time, before coal was killed, a good and prosperous future.

A home was purchased and additions and upgrades began on the nearly 100 year old house, meantime, we rented a small house in Jonesville, Virginia, a few miles away.

I, at 20 years old, had planned on getting an apartment near the dealership, but for the first time in my life, I was moving soon to a mansion on the hill.

The heck with the apartment, Pop had moved us "on up" and I wasn't going miss out on driving girlfriends up that driveway (this situation lasted only a few years, however, due to Carters policies killing the auto business, ended up in a subdivision, just like everybody else, good while it lasted, though.)

So, there's the skinny on where I was at that time, in the rented house in Jonesville, Virginia in the standup attic bedroom/party room I took upstairs.

This was one long room with an old rather large window at each end.

One night, about midnight, propped on my elbow reading by a small, dim lamp, the 13" TV playing, I noticed a car rolling off the hill out my back window and one headlight was out, it looked as if an unlikeable neighbors car had gotten loose and was rolling down through the yards.

I was wondering who's house it was going to smash into. I turned off the lamp, put my book on the bedside table, and propped up my pillow to sit up in bed and watch the show of what I was sure going be cops, yelling neighbors and maybe even a bigole fire, well, I was 19.

As soon as I got good and set up, this one headlight instantly made a bee line for my window! It covered 200 yards in one second. I could not move, period. I was gripped with fear, sounds cliché, but gripped I was, I could move my eyes, nothing else.

This "headlight" was now a spinning, smeary/crackly globe about the size of a basketball, with a pencil beam of sickening blue light emanating from one spot. As the globe spun, the beam was passing through my room going up and down searching, I prayed. Paralyzed, I prayed. Every rotation of the ball, brought the blue beam closer to me. It searched the room five times. That's it.

When I awoke around 8:00 a.m., I was so stiff, that I had to think if Id been in a wreck or fight the night before, nope, home all night........oh!

When I remembered, my legs went out from under me. I collapsed and mom found me, asked me what was wrong, i told her as best I could, she began to cry, and to tell me that she had just gotten off the phone with my aunt who had just listened to the same story from her son.

Well, Brian, that's my encounter with the blue beam of light. That particular frequency of blue, I've never seen before, but to this day, a neon sign of near that hue makes me sick.

Green Ball/Object Falls From The Sky Over Radford Virginia (Solved - Fireball)

Vike Factor Note: The below sighting report I received for Radford, Virginia has been solved.

It turned out to be a  green Fireball. I checked the AMS website and they received 3 reports over the fireball and it was seen over PA, VA and WV on September 26, 2014 at around 02:50 (UTC).

Green ball fell from sky. I live in Radford, Virginia just saw a green glowing ball fall from the sky about 15 minutes ago about 1130 p.m. EST here posted what I saw on Facebook and started to look it up saw your site.

I have never in my life seen such.

Burning Objects Spiraling Down From The Sky Over Virginia Beach Virginia

Hi, on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at approximately 6:35 p.m. I was driving west on 48 between 12 and the turn to Sutton. A burning object was spiraling down from the sky over approximately Virginia Beach area.

Then before it disappeared a second one fell in the same manner just south of the first. Both were visible at the same time. No pictures.

I was driving but all of us in the car saw them.

Blue/Yellow Oval Shaped Glowing Object With Short Tail Falling From The Sky Over Northern Virginia

Date:  January 19, 2013
Time:  Around 2:35 p.m. – 2 ;45 p.m.

Hello, We saw a strange object in the sky over Northern Virginia today at around 2:35-2:45 p.m. It looked like a white/bluish oval glowing shape falling from the sky, too slow to be a meteor or comet, and to big and bright to be any plane or aircraft.

A small glowing tail, but not smoke. As it got lower it got brighter, and then it seemed to stop falling, and just float, before it started to move away from us, to the west.

It got smaller and the glow got weaker as it faded away. We were able to see to other planes in the same area, as the sky was very blue and clear today, with no clouds. We are 100% sure that it was not a meteor or a plane.

Bright Green Light Flashed Across The Sky Over Jersey Virginia

I saw a light flash almost two seconds from north to south. It was green by my eyes, like a meter or something.

As this large object got as bright as a flare, then in a flash it was out gone, it simply vanished. Seems like it was way over South Jersey in Virginia. Very Cool sight.

Strange Green Object Seen And Lights Flicker At Witnesses Home In Virginia U.S.A.

I'm glad I found your post about the weird green light. I'm in Virginia and I saw it too.

It started out as as kind of a green glowing object going across the sky at a high speed, then It lit a big portion of the sky up. I saw it on my way home from work around 5:40 p.m. EST. 

When I called my wife to tell her what I saw, she said the light had also just flickered off at the house.

There is definitely something weird going on...

I did see this this online (http://www.kaj18.com/news/montana-named-satellites-crashed-into-moon-monday/) . It may have something to do with it.

Witnesses Watch Blue Object That Looked Like A Waning Crescent Moon Over Grundy Virginia

Time:  9:32 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My sister and I were on our way home from Abingdon, VA going to Hurley, VA. The stars were beautiful that night as I had been star gazing the whole way home (I was the passenger).

The sighting occurred at the new mountain (Some sort of bypass with the Coalfield Expressway they’re trying to build) in Grundy, VA, "Walmart Mt" if you will. The moment when we started to go down the hill we saw a UFO.

I didn't see it go from one side of the sky to the other; I didn't even see it until it turned it's super nice blue lights on (I guess it was hovering in the middle of the sky and decided to leave so it turned on its “get the hell out of here” lights) and that thing was gone.

I’ve never saw anything go so fast. It didn't have a noise (I had my window down cause I was smoking (a cigarette by the way). It was shaped like a Waning Crescent Moon (but rotate the image in your head to the right) and it went from my right to my left, but it was hovering right above us (or it appeared out of thin air, but I like my hovering theory) and I only saw the lights, I couldn't make out a ship color.

I think it was either a round shaped UFO with only one half of the edges lit up, or it was just the crescent moon shape and it was completely lit up (the latter being what I actually saw).

When it turned the lights on, it lit some of the sky up, sort of like lightning, but not as far out into the sky as lightning would and the “lightning” was a bright LED Blue color just like the lights.

And it was higher than the trees, but no where near the stars. I really don’t know anything about altitude to describe how far it was, it seemed close, but not close enough to scare me. It was as big as a full moon would be hanging in the sky.

I wish I could see it again, it wasn't scary, it was cool. It was so fast, it had turned those lights on and was gone before I could finish saying "Wow". The lights on it could've been one light as I didn't see any gaps to prove separate lights, but I don't know how it could be a single light and be shaped like that.

The lights didn’t blink nor flash, they were just turned on and they stayed on. I guess it could be some form of a military craft, but I can’t identify it, and it was a flying object. So it’s a UFO to me, until someone can prove me wrong.

100 Feet Up In The Sky Was A Huge Clear Translucent Cylinder Shaped UFO Near Charlottesville Virginia

Time:  Morning.

Brian, I was telling my family about some lights I have seen in the sky the night Hurricane Sandy blew threw. Here's my story. People at work all think I'm crazy, but I saw what I saw.

It was October 29th, 2012 and I was heading to work on I-64 near Charlottesville VA. It was raining, but not heavily. I looked up at the tree line that separates the on-going and on-coming traffic.

Up in the sky about 100 feet off the ground was this huge clear translucent tube around 50 feet long and around 15 feet maybe 20 feet in diameter.

I kept looking at it trying to focus in at what I was looking at. It was dark and raining out, but the lights from the traffic on the other side of the trees illuminated the object enough for me to really look at it. Even though it was a clear cylinder in the sky it had a series of ribs (structural support?).

Then, around 5 minutes later I was still traveling on I-64 when there were these series of flashes in the sky over by Afton Mountain near Charlottesville VA. All the flashes were a dark blue-purplish in color. The flashes were not lightening bolts but more or less a whole sky illumination. 

It was fast and short burst, like a flash from a camera. It only flashed a few times, then nothing. Was the cylinder object and the flashes related?

Strange night altogether. The Hurricane blowing threw, the weird cylinder hovering above the ground and the blue flashes in the sky. Yes, October 29th will be a day to remember for me. Charlottesville VA.

Shiny Green Cigar Shaped UFO Stationary Over Gallipolis Ferry On The Ohio River West Virginia

Time:  Evening.

Hello, my sister and I were teenagers and visiting our grandparents in the summer and had attended a dance at the Gallipolis ferry on the Ohio River.

In the clear evening sky was a cigar shaped shiny green object that didn't move.

It was not like anything else in the sky and stayed there for the entire evening. It was still there when we drove home that night in the country.

My sister and I both remember it quite clearly and though we weren't aware of all the rumors of UFOs, concluded that was what it was.

20 To 25 Orange Lights Over Fredericksburg Virginia

Time:  Evening.

Mr. Vike, my wife and I saw these lights that night as we were coming out of a restaurant. Instead of the 7-8 that were referenced on your site, though, the number we saw was probably closer to the 20-25 range. 

As we were alone outside the restaurant, away from any ambient street noise, we were able to distinctly hear the tell-tale "whump-whump-whump" of helicopter rotors. The sounds were faint, but definitely there. 

I admit that the string of orange lights was definitely "different", and absent hearing the rotor noise would have seemed strange indeed. Having spent 20 years in the Army, and hearing more than my fair share of helicopters, I have no doubt that the lights in question were, indeed, helicopters. 

But, as I jokingly remarked to my wife that evening, the big question is how were the aliens able to steal that many helicopters?

6 Bright Orange Lights Seen Flying Over Fredericksburg Virginia

Time:  7:16 p.m.

Dear Brian Vike, I also saw 6 bright orange lights over Fredericksburg on October 15, 2012  It was at 7:16 p.m. and I was standing in the parking lot of the Colonial Tavern on Lafayette Blvd. 

I'm glad I came across your (a different witness) account as nobody else in the parking lot seemed to notice anything.

I didn't point out the lights as I was talking on my cell phone and I tried to take a photo, but the lights disappeared off to the south and the taller buildings in the downtown area blocked my view.

The first 3 lights were in a nearly straight line with the middle one slightly higher than the others. The second set of three were much closer together and in a triangle formation.

Blue Light Circling In The Clouds In The Tidewater Area Of Virginia

I live in the Tidewater region of VA. On May 20 2012 at about 1:30 a.m., I saw a blue light circling in the clouds behind my home. I told my wife to come have a look and she saw it also. I have never seen anything like this before.

It seemed to be coming from in the clouds which were slightly forming a loose spiral, but dense. I have tried to explain it away since then. But the slightly irregular large "laps" it was making could not have been coming from the ground.

I have looked for it every night since to no avail. I watched for about 45 minutes then my wife got a little frightened and said we should go in. I looked out about an hour later and it had stopped. This was also the day of the "Ring of Fire" solar eclipse.

Could they be connected? Anyone near here see the same thing that night or any other? I will never be able to forget it.

Bright Glow In The Sky And Slight Roar Heard Over Chesapeake Virginia

Shape of Objects: Three tightly clustered glowing spheres.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While walking towards my house from my backyard (15 yards away), a slight roar was heard towards the SSE. As an aircraft mechanic, I noticed the bright glow and sound very uncharacteristic of most rockets.

The craft were headed ENE, decreasing in size rapidly with altitude. The glow seemed to flash somewhat just before disappearing behind a layer of cirrus clouds. At first sighting, they were slightly smaller than my thumb and decreased to the size of a pencil eraser.

FYI: I'm near the approach to Norfolk International Airport and hear aircraft over at a US Navy Auxiliary Landing Field, so aircraft noise is typical, but very few aircraft have been flying today.
