Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, my husband and I sent you our sighting report of 12 white orbs that we saw and photographed over Los Banos, California on August 28, 2005, which you posted. You have asked for older reports so I am attaching a sighting my girlfriend and I had in 1969 which involved two jets chasing after a UFO spotted near the Fresno, CA Airport.

Clovis California, June, 1969 - It was about 10:00 p.m. on a warm clear evening, mid June of 1969. I had just graduated from High School and my best friend and I were sitting outside my home enjoying the clear dark sky and brilliantly shining stars.

On a whim, we decided that we wanted to go to a late-night market in Fresno, about five miles away and buy some magazines to read. We got into my car and began to drive south to a shopping center near the Fresno Airport.

Along the way we decided to take a short cut on a small road adjacent to the airport which was flanked by an open field. We turned right onto the small two lane road and were now driving along side the field and which was several hundred feet away from the fenced area near the end of the airport runway, which we could see clearly, including buildings and planes of the local Air National Guard.

There were no street lights and the road was dark with no traffic, except for us. As we drove by we could see that most of the airport activities had stopped for the evening, which was normal, as no aircraft landed or took off from there at that time of night.

We continued down the road talking, when I noticed my friend leaning forward in the passenger seat staring up at something in the sky. She motioned to me to look out my driver's side window saying, "what is that?"

I looked out the window and saw an intense white strobing light hovering above, apparently keeping pace with my car. I slowed down and it continued to follow at the same pace. As our windows were down, we most certainly would have heard an engine, was it a plane, but it made no noise at all.

Not knowing what we were seeing, I pulled over, stopped the car and we both got out to take a better look. We were mesmerized by the intense white light of the object which now appeared diamond shaped and strobing quickly as it hovered above us.

It was hard to estimate it’s altitude and size, but we guessed at arms length it would have been the size of a basketball. By now two other cars had come up behind us and had pulled off the road to look as well. Within moments the object started to move away from us, and began to pick up speed. All of a sudden we heard the roar of jet engines and looked up to see two military jets lifting off the runway in hot pursuit of this object.

The jets passed directly over us, so close that we could see the landing gear retract. We watched as the jets tried to close on the object. We were in a flat area of land and we could clearly see the object and jets streaking away from us heading due west.

As the jets began to close on the object, the object slowed and appeared to hover over the jets as if teasing them, and then it made an incredible 90 degree turn with several jerking, zigzag movements and shot off at tremendous speed to the south directly over downtown Fresno.

The jets were left in its wake. We immediately jumped back into the car and decided to head home to tell our families what we had just witnessed.

It was about 10:45 p.m. when we reached the main intersection of town where we were stopped waiting the signal light to change. Suddenly all of the signal lights, and street lights started flashing on and off, including the caution lights at the train tracks which were directly in front of us beyond the intersection.

A large bolt of electricity shot down a power line near the road, arcing and snapping until it got to the end and dissipated. We sat there watching these lights flashing on and off around us for about 3 - 4 minutes and then they all stopped and the signal turned green.

We looked at each other and I floored it through the intersection and didn't let off the gas until we got to my friends home only a few blocks away.

When we pulled up to her house, some of the neighbors were all outside talking excitedly about what had just happened with the lights in the neighborhood. Of course they asked us if we saw it and we told them that we had witnessed that, and more.

Wanting to confirm what we had seen earlier, we ran inside the house to phone the airport. Incredibly, the call was answered by a man in the control tower.

I told him we had observed something in the sky close to the airport less than an hour ago and asked him if two National Guard jets had taken off to check it out.

I was told point-blank that no planes had taken off at all that night. I asked him again, if he was sure, and he told me once again that no planes had taken off.

We knew we weren't going to get any further with him and we also knew he had to be lying as we saw the jets with our own eyes and had close enough to read the numbers on the planes.

We told our families about what we had seen and received polite, yet insincere statements like, "wow that must have been something". But we knew they didn't believe us.

There was nothing in the local news the next day about a strange object in the sky or equally strange power surge and nothing was ever said about it again, except between my friend and me.

We've recounted that night many times over the years, even up to this day. We know what we saw; we know what happened.

Helicopter Buzzes Bright White UFO Over Indian Point Power Station Buchanan New York

Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

About 2 years ago, around 11:00 p.m. at night, I think I saw a small circular orb UFO fly over the power lines which cross through Pomona on the Thiells Mt Ivy Road.

A helicopter seemed to be maneuvering to keep it away. I had been on a phone call, and had been distracted as a helicopter kept flying and buzzing around for at least half an hour while I was on the phone, so I did not visually see the entire incident nor the UFO white orb for as long a period as I would have wanted to.

I wanted to understand what was going on, but I heard the helicopter buzzing around for at least a half hour, which was very unusual. I am not 100% certain of what I saw. I think the power lines are part of the electrical lines that come directly out of Indian Point Power Plant, the site of numerous sightings of UFOs especially in the 1980s.

The small orb UFO was of a bright white light, moving at high speed, and subsequently moved to the top of the ridge of High Tor Mountain which crosses Rt. 45 near 202 in Mt Ivy I saw a perfectly circular white light on top of that ridge for several minutes, but no strobe light, not even light beams emanating from that orb, which suddenly just vanished.

I got in my car to drive the two minutes over to see what had happened. That section of Rt. 45 that goes over that ridge was cordoned off by traffic barriers that night. There seemed to be activity going on on that ridge. I called the police department to find out what had happened, but they said they were unaware of any problem in that area whatsoever.

I called the Journal News the next day to find out what had happened, and why Rt. 45 was cordoned off, but they had no information whatsoever either. I went to the local Colonel's Deli in Mt. Ivy to find out what was going on, as the store was just below the ridge, and they said they had heard the loud helicopter sounds as well, but also had no idea of what had happened.

A friend who works with the Rockland County Emergency Services said it was not one of their helicopters. Also, when the above incident happened in October 1971, I am wondering whether the UFO and the strobe light the witness describes searching the woods, was actually possibly studying and inspecting the power lines from Indian Point that run through that section of Pomona, and the Thiells Mt Ivy Road area and also run on an east west parallel between Indian Point and Suffern.

Another theory is that the UFO might have been studying the geology of planet Earth and the Ramapo Mountain Fault lines which run through this area from New Jersey and the Ramapo Mountains, including the Suffern area, and across the Hudson into Westchester near and possibly even under Indian Point. It's all a mystery!

Bright Flash And Power Outage At Berkeley California

Time:  Evening.

 

I noticed the same sort of occurrence, bright flash of light over the entire sky followed by a power outage in Berkeley, CA in the Spring of last year (2008). I didn't think too much about it then (I had midterms to study for!), but I certainly thought it was curious.

I think your dream, particularly if it occurred after the event, might just be your imagination playing tricks.

But, I agree with you, the bright white flash (in the middle of an urban area, too!) followed by a city-wide blackout is very interesting.

UFO Drops Out Of Large Craft Over The Palo Verdi Nuclear Power Plant

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Had a little one slowly come out of the bottom of the big craft and move to the west very rapidly after dropping 40 to 50 feet. We were on cooling tower 3 for containment building 3 during an outage. I was one of the Electricians on the tower with 15-20 people from the Carpenters Union. Just had to tell someone as its been on my mind along time. So much more I could say but feel a little like I may be stepping into something.

Escondio, California Multiple UFOs And Power Outage

Location of Sighting: Escondio, CA.

Shape of objects: 7=X-shaped &1 large disk?

Full Description of event/sighting: First one 1968 and second one 1969. Early evening, myself and 3 friends all about 18 years old were at Felicitates Park, on the south side of Escondido. We were sitting on rocks watching clouds, talking etc. It was still sunny, but there were some large cloud formations. As we were observing one that looked like a upside down hanged man, there was a huge explosion. The whole sky turned pink especially the clouds, as we were wondering what the heck. We saw these things buzzing in and out of the clouds.

It must of been around 8:30 by then when it had finally darkened, and we could see these little things better. There were 3 pairs of them that flew in this perfect synchronized pattern, which was hard to believe as their flight pattern was similar to a drawing done by 3 year old who has eaten to much sugar, and is scribbling with a pencil. Then they would stop, dead still. There was always one man (ship) out, that ship would fly into one of the pairs, they would all change partners and continue their 'dance'. My thoughts were that they looked like Spoolies (a rubber curler for women's hair in the 50's). They were X shaped. They had something that could not be seen as it moved to fast. It could of been blades, but they were on the top and the bottom of the X and when they moved it looked like this: X_________________X.

The movements were to fast to make out and were red. So fast all we could see was the line of movement. We remembered this as a long happening, (possible missing time) Sometime through this I saw a large very bright light, but twice the size of Venus. It made a warp type move, turning colors as it disappeared. We continued watching and sometime latter, it did the opposite and when it came back all the lights in the area went out? One of the guys had a glow in the dark watch, it was 9:00 pm. They (the 7) did a few more moves, then they all went into the light and it warped out again.

The next day and for the next 2 weeks I kept track of the Escondido paper and there was a blurb, something like "plane explodes over Mira Mar, more later. Well it was not anywhere near Mira Mar or at least it did not look like it, it looked more to be over S. Rancho Bernardo or Poway. This was the first of 2 sightings I had in this area. The second being a golden disk on the ground, this sighting also was with 3 other people. One woman who was with me both times. Again the observation was for a prolonged time.

Russellville, Arkansas: Nuclear One Power Plant UFOs Over Plant

Full Description of event/sighting: To set the scene it was a clear Fall night and the stars were everywhere in the sky. You could see what looked like to be common airliners on route to Little Rock Airport.

We were out on some country road (we got lost), had been driving the dirt roads for about an hour. We needed a restroom break so I found a little entrance into a farm that had no gate. We didn't plan on staying any longer than it took to finish our business and leave. My friend said, "what is that?" He pointed to the sky and I just said, "that is the red light on an airplane." I was in the USAF and you see a lot of incoming and outgoing aircraft of many different types, so when I saw the light that is what I first thought of, and then he said, "Look at it man!" I looked at it again and the light just stopped and then resumed course. I zipped up my pants and we sat on the hood of my car and watched this light move around for about 10 minutes, then to our amazement and out of nowhere a second red light appeared far behind it. Too far to had been a single aircraft.

The lights were steady and moving along the same course for about another 10 minutes, then one light went out completely and the 2nd light seemed to speed up instantly and took the place of where the first light was last seen. My friend then pointed out a cloud. This cloud was coming from the cooling tower of the local power plant in Russellville which is about 22-25 miles away. The light remained near the steam for nearly 5 minutes then in the blink of an eye went from a dead hover to a diagonal up and right. Now I'm not good enough to tell you the speed of this object but I can tell you that the speed of this object was so extreme that the only thing I can judge by it is like trying to watch a bullet leave the barrel of a gun and follow it to the target. My friend was a bit shaken by seeing this, and so was I. We were speechless and didn't talk the rest of the time we were watching. I saw the angles in which this light was traveling and I don't know any craft we have that can allow a pilot to make such drastic changes in speed and angle without becoming unconscious or being killed by sheer G-force. It was truly a remarkable sight to see.

Just when we thought it was all over and done with the 1st light reappeared in the same place it had vanished and the 2nd red light came back to the same distance when it had first appeared. The two lights kind of made like a subtle flash (as we had been watching it, we had not see any fluctuation from these lights at all). Then Poof! they were gone. We sat there for another 30 minutes hoping they would show up again, however they did not.

(Now, I'm telling you this and have not posted it anywhere else on the web. I do not wish to be made public. I just hope this helps confirm similar accounts if you even have any like this. Your feed back to me would be much appreciated.)
