Emotional UFO Encounter At Knox County Lucky Point Indiana (Audio Interview)

Investigator Brian Vike's Note: My friend and colleague Mr. John Hayes operates UFOINFO sent along a report, to see if I would like to follow up on this case.

I wrote to the eyewitnesses and set up a time that would be convenient for the people to do a telephone interview over what they saw. I called today, (May 11, 2005) and talked with a wonderful lady who explained what took place on March/April 2, 2001 in Knox County Lucky Point, Indiana.

The sighting itself sounds amazing and video footage was taken of what the folks witnessed. At one point in the telephone conversation the lady gets very emotional, wondering what might have happened if a helicopter hadn't flown by at the time of this event.

Please read the report John has sent along to me below, also below the written report, there is an audio file of "some" of the conversation I had with the lady today.

The video footage is being sent to me so it can be looked at and in hopes one might be able to help figure out what the people saw that evening. Also I would like to point out, in the written report, the lady states that the object would zoom in and out, which will be seen on the video footage.

She wanted to make sure I understood that it was not them zooming the camera in and out, but rather this was the object that kept approaching them, and then moving away.

The object did this a number of times and again caught on film until it left the area. There is also going to be some other interesting things that was captured on film, so I am very much looking forward to viewing, and having the tape looked at.

Something else I would like to stress, that is these people want answers. They want the film to be analyzed in hopes of finding an answer.

Description: You have another report on this site of the same location. Under your 1999 reports. It is known as a UFO hotspot. And it did not disappoint when my husband and I were there. Lucky point is a big old country field in the middle of nowhere. It is known as lucky point because of the deer hunting.

We researched the location & decided to go check it out. We were the only ones present at the time. We did video tape it and still have the tape. It was pitch black, when we noticed a bright glowing orb. I told my husband to "turn off the light", meaning his flashlight.

I turned off the light on our camera. I video taped the extremely bright  glowing object as it would zoom in on us then zoom back out. It did this several times. It was obviously focusing on us. How close was it? I'm not sure, it like I mentioned was pitch black. My husband guesses about 250 yards above us, but I'm sorry, just not sure.

You can hear my husband on the video saying "it's zooming in on us", at the same time you can see it zoom in on the camera. After about a minute to two of doing this, it shot up to the left and disappeared. IT never made a sound the whole time. What is even more strange, is that seconds after the UFO vanished, either a helicopter or single engine plane came into view.

Were they after the UFO?, that is the way it looks to me on the video. And amazingly, you can hear the plane or helicopter. There is your comparison that the glowing object did not make one sound! People who have seen the tape, friends and family, everyone of them after seeing it, are freaked out. And every time, they ask "weren't you scared?" Our answer, "no" "to much in awe to be scared"

Color/Shape: An extremely bright glowing orb or disk. If I pause the video certain spots, it looks more like a disk.

Height & Speed: Extreme speeds.I had a hard time at moments focusing the video camera because it was so fast. I'm hoping for someone to help analyze the video to get a more comfortable feel of height and speeds. Because it was so dark it is hard to discern that info.

TV/Radio/Press: I am working with MUFON to get them a copy of the tape, but just talked with them on the phone. I haven't sent the tape yet because a family member is making a copy. I am also currently trying to get the press involved because several local papers & news stations have reported on the lucky point area before.

I provided these details to a website before, not yours, and never got a reply, I am setting aside my embarrassment and again typing the details to another website. All I ask is since I took the time to report it, I would appreciate an email saying that someone has actually taken the time to read it. The video, is a jaw dropper, and should be taken seriously. But will anyone take 5 minutes to check it out?

Red/Orange Light Off Manomet Point Over Cape Cod Plymouth Massachusetts

Colour of Object: Very bright reddish orange.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My mother and I both sighted a bright reddish/orange object for approximately 2 minutes moving in a southwest direction over Cape Cod Bay.

The object appeared to be above the altostratus level as it passed behind clouds at that level. The object appeared slow moving.

Upon inspection through binoculars there was no navigation lights like on aircraft and no flickering at all.

(Weather conditions, vis. 20+ miles, you could see across Cape Cod Bay. Some clouds, but mostly clear. Temperature 26F. Wind 0mph)

Orange Fireballs Seen Flying Over High Point North Carolina

Time:  8:45 p.m.

My sister, husband and I were driving into my sister's driveway after dinner at 8:45 p.m. tonight (September 20, 2014) and there was an orange ball of fire coming from the north.

We thought it was a plane that had an engine on fire. However, there was no noise. As we were watching, a 2nd ball of fire came in sight. Then first one turned east, as if it were in a flight pattern.

However, the 2nd one turned east at the same time. It looked like the 2nd one was desending fast and we waited to see if we would hear/see a crash. Then, both were gone.

We went online to see if anyone else saw it and found this blog. It is eerie how similar our experience was to others on this post.

Red Object Dropped 4 Smaller Red Lights Over Bay Point California

Hello, I am in Bay Point, California and on 1-21-2013 at about 6:20 p.m. I think I saw something, but not sure what I saw. 

I was out with my dogs and there was a red star that I noticed. It was a little dark red light like the flashing lights on airplanes, but this wasn't flashing, it was moving.

What it was doing is it dropped about 4 small red lights from the bottom, that evaporated like leaking fuel, but then the star started to fizzle like it was twinkling on off and it finally went out and that was it.

I didn't see it leave or nothing, it just vanished and was dark. Can you tell me what it was, or have you seen any think like this.

6 To 8 Glowing Red Lights In The Sky Over Rocky Point North Carolina

Time:  About 9:20 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Hi, my name is (name removed), originally from Florida. I remember as a small girl while my parents were out for the evening, my baby sitter and I went outside to talk to her boyfriend who stopped by.

Upon gazing at the sky I noticed something unusual. I found out the next day that the Opa- Locka, Fla. airport had had several calls about  see a UFO. 

Well I'm 48 years old and almost 40 years later I'm in another part of the country and noticed something that looked a little out of the ordinary.

It was about 9:20 p.m. -9:30 p.m. last night December 31, 2012. Was taking my little girl to a friends for a sleep over. 

Traveling north along Hwy.117 toward Rocky Point and Burgaw, I spotted in the sky 6 or 8 red glowing objects to the east of us.

It was really dark and cloudy. I've been a true star gazer every since that night 40 years ago in Opa Locka.   

Not to mention I'm a Libra, and believe in all that horoscope stars stuff. Which most think I'm weird. But, I'm OK with that. Nothing wrong with being a little strange. LOL.

Anywho, my daughter noticed them as well. So, I pulled over, tried to call my husband to tell him. I was so excited that I couldn't get my voice command on cell phone to work.

I got out the SUV, tried to take a picture with my cell phone, but the objects were to far, that I couldn't get anything to show on my phone. 

I decided to press on and take my daughter to her friend, but in the meantime I finally calmed myself enough to contact my husband. 

The objects were in perfect formation, diamond shaped with two on point. There was a total of six, maybe 8.

One at point disappeared, the ones in diamond formation, came together then separated before disappearing. The last one on point at the back of diamond lasted the longest.

While we were heading down the highway, the last one disappeared. But, then I noticed above something red and glowing flew past us in a flash, I was discussing the events with my husband, then when that happened I asked my daughter if she saw the same thing, she said yes, and starting crying.

I know this might seem a little crazy, but I still believe we're not the only ones in this small galaxy we call a universe, and I'm still unsure what it was we saw.  

I thought I would share. We also received a call from some friend that were closer to Wilmington, NC just south of Rocky Point, NC and asked if we saw lights. They had seen them as well, they thought it might Chinese lanterns.

Bright White Objects Traveling Downward Seen From Point Loma San Diego

Time:  Approx: 6:45 p.m.

My name is (name removed). please give me a call (phone number removed). I was in Point Loma about to get in my car at around 6:45 p.m. and drive home to normal heights when I saw what I thought was an airplane with streaking lights coming off the back.

So my next guess was a blimp because of the holiday bowl and I thought I was just seeing the lights of the side panel on the blimp, until it broke apart and a piece came off with a fireball coming off the end of it until it just stopped in mid air.

It glowed bright white and the other part of it now looked the same. They were sort of hovering there and slowly moving straight downward, not like a plane at an angle, but straight down.

Then out of nowhere a third light showed up, didn't see it coming in or out, just bam, there it was.

They all started traveling downward until they ducked out of sight behind a tree line. So the next part is what's really weird. I was guessing they were coming from the stadium area to the northeast of me.

On my way home going east on the 8 I was looking to the right where airport traffic was in full effect and I saw to planes. One had blinking lights and it was moving, a normal plane, the other had no blinking lights and was just hovering there.

I couldn't just stop on the freeway, so I kept going, then I circled back around through uptown trying to find it by another vantage point, but never found it again.

I was really hoping I’d find someone else who could validate this experience and my brother's girlfriend found your blog post. Crazy world.

Bright Orange Square Of Light In The Point Mugu California Area

Tonight I was flying over the Point Magu area on a commercial flight home and noticed a giant (size of a large mall footprint) bright orange square of light.

There were no beams shooting into the sky, however, it was very odd. Not sure what this things was...figured some sort of invisible shield parameter or some other sort of military something.

Helicopter Buzzes Bright White UFO Over Indian Point Power Station Buchanan New York

Date:  October 1971
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

About 2 years ago, around 11:00 p.m. at night, I think I saw a small circular orb UFO fly over the power lines which cross through Pomona on the Thiells Mt Ivy Road.

A helicopter seemed to be maneuvering to keep it away. I had been on a phone call, and had been distracted as a helicopter kept flying and buzzing around for at least half an hour while I was on the phone, so I did not visually see the entire incident nor the UFO white orb for as long a period as I would have wanted to.

I wanted to understand what was going on, but I heard the helicopter buzzing around for at least a half hour, which was very unusual. I am not 100% certain of what I saw. I think the power lines are part of the electrical lines that come directly out of Indian Point Power Plant, the site of numerous sightings of UFOs especially in the 1980s.

The small orb UFO was of a bright white light, moving at high speed, and subsequently moved to the top of the ridge of High Tor Mountain which crosses Rt. 45 near 202 in Mt Ivy I saw a perfectly circular white light on top of that ridge for several minutes, but no strobe light, not even light beams emanating from that orb, which suddenly just vanished.

I got in my car to drive the two minutes over to see what had happened. That section of Rt. 45 that goes over that ridge was cordoned off by traffic barriers that night. There seemed to be activity going on on that ridge. I called the police department to find out what had happened, but they said they were unaware of any problem in that area whatsoever.

I called the Journal News the next day to find out what had happened, and why Rt. 45 was cordoned off, but they had no information whatsoever either. I went to the local Colonel's Deli in Mt. Ivy to find out what was going on, as the store was just below the ridge, and they said they had heard the loud helicopter sounds as well, but also had no idea of what had happened.

A friend who works with the Rockland County Emergency Services said it was not one of their helicopters. Also, when the above incident happened in October 1971, I am wondering whether the UFO and the strobe light the witness describes searching the woods, was actually possibly studying and inspecting the power lines from Indian Point that run through that section of Pomona, and the Thiells Mt Ivy Road area and also run on an east west parallel between Indian Point and Suffern.

Another theory is that the UFO might have been studying the geology of planet Earth and the Ramapo Mountain Fault lines which run through this area from New Jersey and the Ramapo Mountains, including the Suffern area, and across the Hudson into Westchester near and possibly even under Indian Point. It's all a mystery!

Orange Colored Light Over High Point North Carolina

Hello, on September 18, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. my wife and I saw an orange ball of light moving slowly across the sky at a low altitude.

At first I was questioning if it was a meteor and then I was looking for flashing tail lights of a plane, but there were not any to see.

I noticed an orange light shinning down from the orange ball and it was moving from side to side as if it was scanning. There wasn't any noise coming from the object. I took some pictures on a cell phone as it passed over.

We watched the orange light pass over and then it seemed to become very small quickly and vanish.

Red/Orange Object Falling Slowly From The Sky Over Point Of Woods Cherry Hill New Jersey

About 10:00 p.m. tonight, I was outside with my daughter and foster puppies. I live in Point of Woods, Cherry Hill, NJ. (Route 70 and Springdale Rd) Over the tree line, I saw a red/orange floating object.

It was falling, but slowly. The rain was pouring down. Seemed like a controlled descent. Not a firecracker. No noise and was flaming red too much. Not an airplane.

Looked like a red oval shooting off flames. Not "falling" straight down. Controlled floating. Any idea?

4 Orange Balls Of Flame Seen Flying In The Sky From Dana Point California

 

Date:  April 9, 2012

Time:  Between 11:50 p.m. and midnight.

 

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of Objects: At least 4.

Shape of Objects: Orange balls that looked like a ball of flame.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I live in Dana Point and the we saw these objects towards the south of the freeway towards Camp Pendleton. These orange balls looked like a ball of flame in the sky.

 

One would distinguish, shrinking smaller and smaller and then became nothing. Then, another one would appear to the right and would be in the sky for at least 5 minutes. Distinguish itself and reappear in the sky again to the right.

 

It seemed to go back a little further to the right each time it disappeared and reappeared. We looked at each of them through binoculars and there seemed to be a trail of smoke above it and some strange sparkle to the left of it.

 

It looked like it was shooting sparkles above the top half of the ball. It was fascinating. I don't know how long it continued. There were at least 4 of them that we saw.

Orange Colored Lights Seen From Pleasure Point California

Last night I saw an orange ball of light traveling across the sky at Pleasure Point. It came towards us at the left, traveled to the right, and shot out into the sky until it disappeared.

 

My neighbor saw two balls of orange light, then the single ball of orange light and described it as the same movements.

 

All just before 8:00 p.m. Very strange.

Two Balls Of Orange Light Over Stevens Point Wisconsin

I just saw two balls of orange light last night shoot across the sky, in Stevens Point, WI. Almost exactly like the ones someone saw over Delavan Wisconsin on July 3, 2010 and July 4, 2010.

They were huge and seemed to lift off across the sky.  One went by and then 30 seconds later another one did the exact same thing from the same location. It was completely silent.

Bright Fiery Object Over Crown Point Indiana

Time:  Approx: 8:45 p.m.

 

Brian, I stumbled across your name while doing an internet search recently and hope you don't mind my taking a moment of your time. (My family members would think I'm crazy for e-mailing someone about this!)

 

I'm from Crown Point, IN, about 1/2 hr. S.E. of Chicago. This past weekend, my husband and I were outside (10/22/11 @ approx. 8:45 p.m. cst) and noticed in the sky a strange red "glowing" circular/oval object moving laterally from south to north (steadily).  

 

It was so amazing (and bright like a fiery ebb) that I initially thought it was some sort of balloon or lantern, (but more round in shape) and I ran back into the house to get our young daughter.  

 

My husband continued to watch it move and said it made absolutely no noise whatsoever. Also, it was about the same size as an aircraft, but it wasn't. We always think it's neat to see falling stars or satellites, etc., so this was really intriguing and perplexing! Usually my husband has an answer for everything, but for this—nothing.

 

Ironically, upon doing an internet search, several other witnesses from Indiana witnessed something similar on different dates (10/8/11 in Crown Point on the UFO's Northwest.com and 10/18 in Munster on the MUFON.com site).  I've never believed or been interested in UFO's before, but this was so fascinating.

 

Also, a friend of ours from the adjoining subdivision said she and her husband saw several strange glowing objects in the sky the night before when they went out to eat driving home) and she would never make anything up (a very practical-minded person).  Seems ironic to me, others must have seen what we saw. Unless blimps fly at night, I'm stumped and now curious!

 

Just wondered since you are from Indiana too and based on your background how to get more information about something like this!  (Witness thought Brian Vike was from Indiana, the person filing this report read someone else’s sighting report)

Possible Alien Being In Witnesses Home At South Point Ohio

Time: Approx: 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: South Point, Ohio.
Number of witnesses: 2 and my dog.
Number of Objects: This was possible alien in home?
Shape of Objects: N/A.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On the night of November 17, 2010 I was sleeping in my bed with my wife and my kids were in the room sleeping on the floors with blankets wrapped around them. My name is (name removed), and about 2:00am that night, I couldn't breathe in the room, and I kept saying "it's too hot in here" and my wife would say "no, it's cold as can be".

Eventually something came over me, and I said I was going to go into the living room and sleep on the couch. About this time our dog who was leashed up, but inside our house in our kitchen began barking and growling. My wife several times told me she thought the dog was growling at someone in the house. For whatever reason, It didn't register with me, and about 15 minutes later I popped out of my bed, again saying I couldn't breathe and I went to the couch in the living room.

The strange thing is that I kicked the dog out of the house, she was leashed in our kitchen, and I put her outside. She continued to bark and growl and scratch at the door, but again this wasn't registering normally with me. I began to try to sleep on the couch and the next thing I know I am in and out of sleep all night.

I remember talking in my sleep to someone who was in my house, beside my couch. It was like I was drugged on medicine, barely awake, but not asleep. I kept talking to this person, and in the morning I began to remember more things.

I had a dream about my entire life, remembering things about normal situations and people that I had forgotten. Although I had a dream, the being by my couch was asking me questions about it, and I would answer and it was as if I was in two places at once.

In the morning before even bringing it up to my wife, she said she had a dream, where she was being told to remember things, but she couldn't. She said it was as if someone wanted to evaluate her life, but she couldn't remember for whatever reason. When she said this, I got chills.

I told my wife about my dream and without skipping a beat my wife told me that last night she thought she saw someone in our room before I left the bed. She said she was extremely scared, and kept pushing her elbow into my ribs to try to wake me. She wanted me to investigate, but I was sleeping. She said she tried pinching me hard, and she was afraid to say my name out loud.

She said the dog began barking, and about that time, is when I complained about the heat. The difference is that when I got up to the couch, my wife said that she fell back asleep and for whatever reasons, she didn't bring up that she saw someone in our bedroom.

So as my wife and I are talking, I realize the dog is still outside, and I opened the door and she ran in. That's when it hit me, that I would have never let the dog out like that. She was barking and acting like she was trying to protect us, and also it was very cold that night.

I never saw a UFO, but I also didn't look outside. I'm writing this wondering if anyone saw any UFOs over my house or anywhere around South Point, Ohio, on November 17, 2010.

Bright Orange UFO Makes Wild Maneuvers Over Crown Point Indiana

Time: Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Hi, my name is (name removed), and at the beginning of the month I was visiting my family in Crown Point, Indiana. On July 2nd around 10:30pm my self and a friend were sitting outside when we noticed a bright object in the sky, it was orange in color traveling from at first what appeared to be from east to west, (viewing south of it's movement) our initial thought was it was a plane since we often see planes travel this direction.

However the object stopped, made a few zig zag movements and approached our location from the north, it made a couple series of stopping and then resuming it's flight. It moved to a viewing location directly in front of us as we looked to the west, it then stopped for about 2 minutes, we heard nothing, no helicopter sounds, so jet engine noises and the sky was absent of any other air traffic.

As the object stayed at it's location, it began to glow very bright, orange in color and seemed to be in the shape of a diamond, and then it looked as if it raced out of the sky, not east to west, or north to south, just upwards at a speed that I've never seen.

I've been in the military and have seen plenty of F16's steep vertical take offs, but this made no noise and was gone in a flash. The entire event last about 10 minutes, feel kind of dumb that I didn't run inside to get a video of it or at least some pictures. I'll be honest, in 38 years of life, I've always thought stories like this were just made up and hoax's, but now have to say I believe that I have seen something truly unidentifiable.

I hope this information can be a use to you, and if possible I'd like to be kept up to date on other sightings. I don't look up at the night sky like I use to anymore. Thanks for having a place to put out information. Respectfully.

Phillipsburg, New Jersey Pin Point Of Light Descending Rapidly

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round.
Weather Conditions: Clear.

Description: Looking west, a pinpoint of light (no tail) was seen descending at a high rate of speed. Too slow to be a shooting star, possibly an asteroid.
Shared info with a co-worker who lives above Easton, Pa. later in the day, he said his wife saw a similar object at the same time.
