Orange Lights Seen Floating Over Palm Bay Florida (Chinese Lanterns)

Date:  December 14, 2012
Time:  Evening.

My name is (name removed). I also saw those lights floating up over Palm Bay, Florida on that night.

They were fairly close to my house and they are without question Chinese lanterns that were released that evening.

Not sure why they were released, but that's what they are.

Group Of Red Lights In A Triangular Shape Floating Across The Sky Over San Jose California

Date:  January 24, 2014
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

1/24/2014 around 9:30 p.m. I saw a group of red lights, no sound, in a triangular shape floating slowly in a northern direction from Willow Glen towards Alum Rock, Berryessa area.

I live under the flight path for SJC and I found it odd since planes never fly in that direction. What was it in San Jose ?

A Ball Of Fire Floating Through The Night Sky Over Thorndale Pennsylvania (Picture)

Time:  Evening.

Hi, I have been Googling to see if anyone had experienced what I did this past Saturday evening. We live in Thorndale 40 minutes west of Philadelphia.

I was taking a night walk around the neighborhood when above my head, about 1.5 stories I saw a fireball drifting like a balloon floating north and coming from the south.

I couldn't figure out what it was, as I never saw anything like it in my life. It wasn't a Chinese lantern as there was no source of flame. It was like a fire ball quietly drifting over houses.

I quick ran and got my cell phone for a picture, and by the time I got the picture it floated toward a hill of woods and the picture shows a bright pin of light.

I wish I had my phone on me earlier, but at least I have some proof. Here's the picture attached. It is a light just above the house. Before it drifted away it was so close I could've threw a ball at it. I was stunned, amazed and speechless!

Picture above just brightened and contrast sharper.

Silent Orange Circular Light Floating Over Boca Raton Florida (Picture)

Date:  July 28, 2014
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

A few nights ago (7/28/14) I viewed a silent orange circular light floating (around 8:30 p.m.) across the night sky for 30 seconds before it suddenly disappeared, it was as if a light switch turned it off.

No stars were visible as it was fairly overcast and it was flying in opposite direction of a nearby plane (which had the usual flashing lights, as I see and hear planes frequently and close by landing at Boca Municipal Airport a few miles from my house).

I would say 1000-2000 feet in altitude at a slow speed (perhaps that of a small propeller driven plane).

Three Orange Balls Of Light Floating Over Niles Ohio

Crazy enough, today: July 4, 2014
I just saw this less than an hour ago. I was pretty confused to say the least. I never discredited people saying they saw things like this, but I never thought I'd see it myself.

Now, I'm only 18, so I feel even more confused by this, what with making me rethink what I hear people say. My family and I were driving home from a show when my dad spotted them.

We all (my dad, mother, sister, niece, and I) all paused for a second, as if waiting for it to explode or burn out like a firework. When It didn’t, we stopped the car and got out. It was three orange balls of light, more of floating about than anything.

There was really no path or formation that they seemed to be following, even with the wind, floating around, and seemingly through each other. Eventually the one began to float away from the other two. They were going slow enough that we could keep up on foot.

We watched them for about two maybe three minutes. They never changed brightness, and did not make a sound. What surprised me even more is how low they were, just above the tree level. We went back to the car to follow them in it, but were unable to find them again.

If I were by myself I doubt I'd believe it, much less tell anyone. I know there's no fireworks that burn for that long and just float about, or any aircraft that flies that low at all, whether it be in silence or not. I found this page as soon as I got home. I don't know how old it is, but I felt I should share this nonetheless.

7 Or 8 Red Lights Floating Up Into The Clouds Seen Over Elk Grove California

Hi, my name is (name removed), I just read your posting about the floating red lights. I was searching the internet because my brother and I just seen the same thing about an hour ago. (7:00 p.m. 1/25/2013)
We noticed about 7 or 8 red lights floating up into the cloud while pulling into our driveway around the intersection of Gerber and Power Inn.

They were to the south of us, in the direction of Elk Grove. If you have any luck figuring out what they were I would be interested to know.

Red/Orange Lights Seen Floating Across The Sky Over Jacksonville Beach Florida

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Monday 2/6/13 at about 9:00 p.m. First two reddish/orange lights slowly moving with no sound came across the horizon and disappeared.

Then about 8 more appeared and then disappeared. They all were moving from the east towards the intercostal. They looked to be floating at about 200 feet off the ground.

Not the first time I have seen them.

Two White Objects Floating In The Sky Over Boca Raton Florida

Place: Lyons road palmetto pk road.

Description of objects: Two white orbs with a faint aura around them. The two objects were floating in the sky, they remained separated from each other, however they were relatively close in distance, the distance between them never changed. 

The objects were located NE in the sky and started to move ENE at a very slow speed until it was difficult to see them. The orbs were visible for about 20 minutes.

Frightened Witnesses See Large Blue/Green Spherical Objects Floating By The Vehicle At Ashtabula County NE Ohio

Date:  Winter 1977
Time:  Early a.m.

It was Winter of 1977. Early a.m. I was driving home with my sister when we saw large blue-green (maybe more of greenish color) spherical shapes floating in the sky.

These were very low and very bright. We were driving through dark deserted country roads to get home.

We were so scared. We did not know what they actually were. I slowed down so as not to hit them. Did not know if should actually stop.

Too scared. Drove very slow as these huge round masses slowly floated in front of us and just popped and disappeared like a bubble.

There were about 10 to 15 of these. I just turned 18 and had my younger sister in car, who was then 16.

We were very scared, so when these large blue-green glowing masses passed, I drove like a maniac to get home. When we got home to our parents house, my Father also had noticed the very same floating masses.

He said they also slowly floated past the house, as he looked in amazement through the windows. This was extremely scary and I am not sure to this day if we ever reported.

We have told this story for years and was only last night that I have actually looked such sighting up on the internet.

One Orange Glowing Light Floating Over Kissimmee Florida

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  Around 12:15 a.m. - 12:20 a.m.

I was in Kissimmee last night (12/31/2012) and right around 12:15-12:20 I saw an orange light, similar to the color of a street light moving southwest at the pace of an airplane, but it had no strobes or aircraft lights on it and there was no sound coming from it.

It did not flicker or blink. It was steady in brightness the whole time I saw it. I was not the only one to see it as well. There were fireworks in the area, but I watched it move southwest for about 30 seconds so it couldn't have been fireworks.

I was in the military for 5 years and have never seen nothing like that. Just figured I would let you know. There was only one light, but I didn't look around to see if there were others.

I only watched that one for a short time before it got out of sight.

3 Red/Orange Lights Floating Over West Boca Raton Florida

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Tonight is the first sighting for me. I saw three when I walked out the door at around 9:30 p.m. I also thought that they were some sort of lantern, but also told myself they had to be something else because they wouldn't take the same path.

I watched two of them go north, then west. Lost track of the third because of trees.

Very odd, what are they?

5 To 6 Floating Orange Glowing Objects Eastern Orange County Florida

Date:  January 1, 2013
Time:  Approx: 8:35 p.m.

On 1/1/2013, at approximately  20:35 hours I observed 5 or 6 orange glowing objects in the southern sky (S to SSE).

I live in Eastern Orange County, Florida, approximately 12 miles east of the Orlando Intl Airport (OIA) in a rural type area.

The objects appeared in a somewhat vertical line, but were staggered behind each other at different altitudes and fairly low on the horizon.

It appeared as if the objects were floating or traveling slowly to the north. These objects appeared to be lower than the air traffic in the area that was departing from OIA.

The air traffic appeared to be initially departing to the south and then turning crosswind to the east and then turning toward a north departure from the Orlando area.

It was very apparent that the orange glowing objects were not aircraft. I watched the objects for approximately 1 minute and the ran into the house to get my wife and son.

Upon returning to the front yard, we saw 3 remaining orange glowing objects in the sky. Apparently the other 2 or 3 objects had disappeared.

Two of the three remaining glowing objects faded quickly while heading in a easterly direction.

The last object continued to glow but slowly faded as it traveled in an easterly direction and it appeared to gain altitude until it was out of sight.

3 Orange Lights Floating Through The Air Over San Antonio Texas

On January 1, 2012 at 12:05 a.m. my husband and I saw three orange objects in the air floating. They were all close together.

They seem to be going from the northwest to southwest. They came to a spot an than disappeared.

I was no longer able to see them at this point. Strange defiantly not airplane or helicopter. The military base is in the direction they were headed, but I see planes come and go all the time and this was not a plane.

Red Light Floating Across The Sky Over Pennsylvania

Time:  Evening.

I live in Pennsylvania and on my way home from work I kept seeing a red ball of fire it was floating very quickly across the sky, not falling in any downward type motion just going straight across the sky.

It made me pull over because I had to watch it. I couldn't believe that no one else could see it. Eventually it went out maybe, disappeared?

I'm still in the parking lot pulled over and I looked it up and saw that maybe it could be a Chinese lantern according to the web, but how would a Chinese lantern scale it so long on a rainy foggy night

17 Orange Floating Silent Lights Spotted Over Witnesses Home In Maury County Tennessee

Brian, Saturday night, Dec. 22, 2012 from approx. 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m CST my family and I saw 17 orange orbs floating/flying (?) over our house in rural Maury County, Tennessee. The children saw them first and called us out. 

We watched as they silently flew over our house from south to north. Some changed directions and went off to the east and northwest. One stood still momentarily and then flew on. They were absolutely silent. I've never seen anything like this in my life.

5 Glowing Red/Orange Floating Lights In The Sky Over Miami Florida

Hello Brian, my wife and I just witnessed 5 glowing red/orange lights floating in the sky.

We are located near 137 Ave., and SW 68th street. They were coming from the southwest to northwest.

Three of them were in triangle formation and two flying solo. They seemed to float in different directions until they got so far away they just disappeared.

We came home and Googled to see if anybody has seen something like this and found your website. I wish we had a camera with us to document it. But we know what we saw, and it is not identifiable.

Floating Orange/Red Ball Of Light Over Fairport New York

I recently (12-13-2012 ), saw one orange/red ball slowly floating in the air in Fairport NY.

It was slow moving/floating just above the tree tops. Light emanating from it and it had a slow flash to it like a candle.

I have a video, but the quality is poor and short. I started looking online and saw similar sightings, but not this recent.
