20 Red/Orange Light Spotted Flying Over Jacksonville Florida

Hello, a friend and I were at dinner on Friday night, when probably around 9:00 p.m. or so I noticed three small reddish/orange lights in the eastern sky.

Now, we live in an area with several naval bases, so I dismissed them at first, but after a few seconds another set of lights caught my eye.

All totaled, twenty or so of the lights, flying on similar flight paths at similar speeds moved across the sky over the course of a few minutes. 

After a few minutes, other people on the street started to notice the lights and more than a dozen of us watched them move across the sky until they just disappeared, sort of like they were leaving the atmosphere. 

We actually were worried at one point because we could see them fade out and thought they might be missiles, so we made a few calls to make sure we didn't have to worry about that. 

I wouldn't have thought anything more about it until I saw other postings about similar events last week, so here we are.

Red/Orange Lights Seen Floating Across The Sky Over Jacksonville Beach Florida

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Monday 2/6/13 at about 9:00 p.m. First two reddish/orange lights slowly moving with no sound came across the horizon and disappeared.

Then about 8 more appeared and then disappeared. They all were moving from the east towards the intercostal. They looked to be floating at about 200 feet off the ground.

Not the first time I have seen them.

3 Red/Orange Objects Flew Over Jacksonville Florida

12:04 a.m. on 1/1/2013 at Jacksonville, FL. I was outside trying to catch a few glimpses of fireworks when I noticed 3 reddish/orange glowing aircraft.

Two of the 3 merged so closely together I thought they would crash, but separated again. It was as if they were observing the firework explosions all over.

The did not resemble any kind of normal aircraft at all. Then they slowly moved out of my sight.

Orange Lights Flew Over Jacksonville Florida

I saw the same thing on New Years in Jacksonville, Florida tonight, January 1, 2013 at 12:04 a.m.

Two flying very close together and the 3rd farther back. Silent and up kind of high.

As if they were watching the Fireworks all over the beach and city. It was disturbing.

Orange Glowing Light Over Jacksonville Florida

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

My family and I saw an orange glowing light last night on December 31, 2012 at around 10:00 p.m.

We were letting off fireworks in front of our house and I was recording the festivities.

As I looked up above our house, we all saw a orange glowing light.
It looked as if an airplane caught on fire. Rather than floating down though, the orange light floated slowly across the sky and upwards.

It finally got to a stopping point and looked as if it was slowly disappearing, then blinked a few times-then it was gone.

I tried to replay the video, and my camcorder sowed as "Not a supported format" when attempting to play for some odd reason. I am not a believer in UFO's, but this is something that I cannot explain.

I have been looking online for possible answers as it has boggled my mind. Hopefully we can get some answers.

3 Two Orange Glowing Lights Seen Flying Over Jacksonville North Carolina

Time:  Approx: 4:00 a.m.

At around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 I noticed two orange glowing lights in the sky.

They were both in a line following each other. They were moving upward.

A third one followed in the same manner less than a minute later. I am in Jacksonville, NC. Any idea of what it could have been?

3 Orange/Red Lights Crossing The Sky Over Jacksonville Florida

In Jacksonville, FL.  on New Years 12:04 a.m. I witnessed 3 orange and reddish glowing aircraft or UFO's in the sky flying east to west at 12:04 a.m. January 1st, 2013.

I was looking for fireworks, and spotted these strange glowing objects moving slowly.

Two of them merged almost in tandem with each other like they might crash, but separated again.

Due to tall Pines, I could not see if the 3rd one, had a partner ship as well. These were no planes I have ever seen.I ran inside and got my husband, he saw them too. It was so strange and bizarre.

Round Red Fire Like Object In The Sky Over Jacksonville Beach Florida

Sunday, 9/10/12 at 9:15 p.m. Jax. Bch, FL. Round red (fire-like) object floating at S. 1st St. and 10 Ave. S.

There was no sound, just moving very slowly in a west direction. After about 2 minutes, it just burnt out. Then, a couple of minutes later another one exactly like the first.

Fast Moving Circular Blue Light With Green Streak Following Seen From Buckman Bridge Jacksonville Florida

Time:  Approx: 5:30 a.m.

 

Hi, I'm scientific in general, but I try to keep my mind open a bit to new phenomenon.

My friend says he eye witnessed a strange light over the Buckman Bridge this morning a about 5:30 am. It was a blue light and in the shape of a circular orb.

 

It’s movement was to the west in a jet-like or faster speed. It left behind a green streak as it moved. What was stranger was that it made a right angle turn in upwards into the clouds that was not jet-like in that it was too quick and angular in its change of direction.

I Googled blue lights over Jacksonville and found your posts.

Bright Flaming Object With Short Fiery Tail Seen Over Jacksonville Florida

Time:  Evening.

 

While I was driving home on PI day I saw a very bright flaming object moving through the clouds. I stopped on the side of the road, knowing this wasn't a shooting star, to continue watching it.

 

It came down towards the earth and over my car. It seemed to have a short fiery tail and was emitting bright flashes of light into the clouds. The object seemed like it was looking for something.

 

This object was literally on fire, while seemingly being guided. The object glided in a zig-zag upwards and through the clouds. The parking lot I stopped in had a few other people looking at this for a short while.

 

Many of them dismissed it being a shooting star, but claimed it could have been a military plane.

Two Bright Lights Seen Over Sandalwood Jacksonville Florida (Venus And Jupiter)

I just posted the comment before. By the way, the two bright lights seen from Sandalwood neighborhood were in Jacksonville Fl. Next to Craig airport. They were stationary as if hovering.

 

Much too high to be towers. One to the right when we were facing west was slightly brighter and larger.

 

They were observed for over an hour then we went inside the house. When we came out 5 minutes later they had disappeared completely.

Two Different UFO Sightings – Needle Shaped And A White Disc Seen Between Daytona And Jacksonville Florida

Time:  Approx: 3:00 p.m.

 

I have always believed in the fact that aliens and UFO’s exist (too many sightings and credible witnesses not to) and I actually saw 2 UFO’s on Interstate 95 last year (approximately 3:00 p.m. - 1/30/11) as I was driving North between Daytona and Jacksonville. 

 

The first one was like a silver needle-all flat with no tail or wings and it just flew about a 2 miles in front across the visible highway between the trees. 

 

Then about 20 minutes later, I saw a “white disc” that appeared in the same point of view and at first was still, and then it began to follow a plane that appeared from the left, but then it stopped and went backwards without gaining altitude. 

 

It did this a couple of times and then it disappeared from our sight (I had my cousin in the front seat who also witnessed this one as she was sleeping during the first sighting). 

 

I didn’t report it, as I didn’t know your site existed then. Any insight would be welcomed.

Round Red Lights Seen Over Jacksonville Beach Florida

 

Date:  February 25, 2012

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

 

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of Objects: 6 to 8.

Shape of Objects: Spherical red lights.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was watching a movie and noticed through my window these red lights coming from behind the condo building in front of mine. They were travelling in from the ocean towards the southeast and then seemed to turn around towards the east and slowly disappeared one or two at a time.

 

They made no noise and were about 300 feet above the beach. I took a picture from my 3rd floor balcony of one of the spheres, but unfortunately it didn't capture it properly. About 1 minute later another single red light sphere appeared and did the same thing.

 

About 3 weeks ago I saw similar objects, but these were white lights and were travelling from the southeast and disappeared going towards the east over the ocean. I don't believe what I saw were helicopters or airplanes as I see and hear them all the time flying above t! he beach.

 

These were silent and did not fly in any formation.

15 To 20 Bright Red/Orange Colored Lights Over Lakewood Area Of Jacksonville Florida

Yes, saw about 15-20 last night in the Lakewood area of Jacksonville. They were very bright, looked like the size of a large star/planet, reddish-orange, they came from the south, one after the other, sometimes in groups of 4 or 5, maybe more, then disappeared.

 

My husband thought they were missiles being fired at us because they just kept coming for about 3-4 minutes. Then they just stopped and the last one just disappeared.

Red Light Traveling In The Sky Over Jacksonville Beach Florida

Time:  12:10 a.m. and 12:21 a.m.

 

Hey, I live on 10th Ave., and saw a red light with 3 other people. The light was coming west to east doing zig zags, then faded out, got dim and then just gone. 

 

This was from about 12:10 a.m. January 1, 2012 and another sighting ironically around 12:21 a.m. from my balcony.

 

It was going in a similar direction. It was not blinking or flashing solid bright light until it left right above us.

8 Bright Orange Lights Seen Over Goodby's Creek Area Jacksonville Florida

 

Date:  December 31, 2011

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

 

I live in the Goodby's Creek area in Jacksonville, Florida. Around 9:00 p.m. (12/31/2011), my wife and I counted as many as eight bright orange lights (I counted 7, she counted 8).

 

We saw them in the southwest for several minutes, and they appeared to be moving steadily toward the east, not speeding up or slowing down, nor changing direction.

 

They eventually faded out one at a time. The last one faded out almost directly overhead. My wife believes she saw them change directions, but I did not notice that.

 

I tried to get a video of it with my mobile phone camera, but that didn't work out.

I have never seen anything like this. At first, we thought they might be helicopters from Camp Blanding. Then maybe rockets, but we saw no smoke trail.

 

Perhaps they were meteors glancing through the atmosphere. They were certainly the right color for meteors, but I'm not sure I'm satisfied with that explanation either.

 

My wife is definitely not satisfied with that explanation, and she is a meteorite/star-gazing enthusiast. We are both skeptical of UFO sightings and not prone to get exited about such stuff.

 

But what I saw last night was very interesting.

Orange Lights Flying Over Downtown Jacksonville Florida

I too saw the same orange lights over downtown Jacksonville, Fl. At about 12:10 a.m. on 1/1/12. They were beautiful and looked like fire of some sort. They were coming from the southwest of the river and traveling ne.

 

After about two minutes, they would flicker out. It was so cool. I have no idea what they were! Do you?

I saw the exact same description of lights last night 1/10/2012 at about 8:15 p.m. - 8:40 p.m.

 

There were 5, then one a few minutes later.

 

They were moving south then east.
