Full Description of event/sighting: To whom it may concern, I have had three UFO sightings in my life, all of them being daylight sightings. One when I was around eight years old, another when I was around 35 years old, but the one that I will describe is by far the very best. At the age of 26, I am now 50 years old.

It's been a long time since I made this sighting, but have visited the site approximately every other year to keep it fresh in my memory. The sighting occurred in the summer (July?) of 1982, in Dayton, Ohio within an approximate radius of four miles from Wright Patterson AFB.

I had just pulled up to a local watering hole after work (Filthy McNasty's was the name of the establishment, believe it or not) with my best friend who I worked/carpooled with. I am a tool design engineer and he is a tool and die maker. From our work experience, we both are very well trained in regards to knowing the size of things big and small.

Filthy’s is located approximately 300 yards from the great Miami River and about 100 yards from Rip Rap Road which parallels the river and lies between itself and the river. It basically sits in the middle of an abandoned field, surrounded by flat farm fields and woods.

The time was approximately 6:00 p.m., the weather was good, with a clear blue sky, with little or no wind. A typical, hot, humid, stagnant, miserable summer day in Ohio. (Can you tell how much I like the weather in Ohio)?

As I was saying, we had just pulled up in the parking lot with the car facing west. We got out and started walking north for about 100 feet to the entrance, when something (a movement/reflection?) to our left (south) caught both of out eyes at the same time.

At a distance of 100 yards (I have measured this) and at approximate height of 200 feet (we had trees in the foreground very close to the road that I have measured the height of, by comparing the objects height to the height of the trees which I feel confident of the height estimate) was a dull gray metallic round object. It almost looked like something out of a 1950's bad Sci-Fi movie.

Two pie pans stacked facing each other with a streamlined "dome" on the top side only. The object was directly over the road and following it's course north at a speed of approximately 35 miles an hour. I have also measured this with myself standing in the exact spot and my friend driving the car on the road (and vice versa) at various speeds. We both picked the speed of 35 MPH.

The object was approximately 35 to 40 feet in diameter, I was a draftsman at the time, and had several size/angles of ellipse templates at work. So the following morning we stood at a distance of three feet from a wall which I had taped all of these templates to.

With the object of this being to pick out what we thought the object looked like. Not only the size, but the projected angle (share/profile). We both did this by ourselves, without knowing what size or shape the other had picked.

To my surprise we both picked the same shape, and more to my surprise, we were within approximately 10% of picking the same size. By using a little trigonometry and knowing a few measurements I calculated the size. So unless I am fundamentally wrong with how I did my calculations, I am very confident of the size that I estimate.

We also parked a Ford F-100 pickup out on the road and both of us stood in the "spot" and compared the size of the truck on the ground with the size of the object in the air. We both agreed that the object looked between two and three times the length of the truck, and so knowing the length of the truck, it fit really well with my calculations.

After we first spotted the object, it continued going north, at the same speed, following the path of the road. There were no erratic moments, no change in altitude, or any increase/decrease in speed. We both watched it for approximately 3 to 4 minutes until it was lost to sight in the haze a little above the horizon. After the object was lost to sight we went inside and discussed what we saw over a few cold beers.

What strikes me as odd, is that we didn't talk that much about it that night or after that. Maybe we were/are still dumbfounded by what we saw. This is not an exaggeration, if I saw a pickup truck at that height and distance, I wouldn't be able to tell you it's license plate number, but I damn sure could tell you what color, make and model it was.

There is one other thing that we both thought was very strange. There is a beach volleyball court in front of Filthy's and know more than 75 yards from the road. I would guess that there were between 15 and 20 people playing at the time. The net runs north and south, so half the people were facing east and the other half were facing west, and would have had an even closer view of the object than we did. I can see the half facing east missing it all together, but Ill be damned if I can figure out why no one player facing west spotted it.

We were both watching them for some reaction but there was not so much as a word said. We both were so dumbstruck that we just stood there with our jaws hanging on the ground and didn't raise the alarm to anyone. In fact we didn't say anything at all to each other the whole time except at the very beginning when I said, "What the hell is that !

To the best of my knowledge, all info contained in this statement is accurate and true. I know a fair amount about UFOs and the quality of the sighting/people.

So I have to tell you, this was a sweet one. No mysterious lights at night, and some moron wearing an Indian headdress claiming that he was whisked away to Venus (Maybe you've seen the film clips of this guy).

You have a multiple witness sighting, well trained, credible professionals.

You have a distance of no more than 125 yards away, with perfect viewing conditions.

I wouldn't have even reported this, except for the fact that it's been nagging at me for almost 25 years now. Maybe it will help me get rid of some of the nag. Plus, I like reading about sightings, so maybe someone will find this interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for listening.

Two Disc Shaped UFOs Caught On Film Over Downtown Ely Nevada (Pictures)

Full Description of event/sighting: I did not see anything unusual when I was walking around Ely filming old buildings. I began to download from my camcorder last week.

While I was looking for pictures to save, I thought that I saw something over the house, so I saved a still photo and wrote "look for UFO" as the title.

 A few days later, I got the tape back out and captured still photos from it. There are 6 in sequence and then the camera malfunctions and filming abruptly begins again at a different location.

I kind of think the frequency from my camera was intercepted and jammed. I normally get a photo shot that I like before moving on, but the house is crooked and there is junk off to the right that I wouldn't have wanted. I would like to save as a short, very short video (all 6 photos are from the same second in time) but I haven't learned how to do that yet.

 I saved them to "pictures" and then watch as a slide show. Then, they move in very slow motion from left to right, but in real time on the camcorder, they whiz by almost too fast to even see.

A few years ago, while my husband and I were trying to search out an elusive whirring noise, one just like these stopped above us. I could see the small trees around us reflected in it. When it was gone, my husband said (like a zombie) "it was just an airplane".

Didn't look at all like an airplane. It was very shiny like stainless steel, and from approximately 30 feet directly under it, perfectly round.

It looked small. It reminded me of large convex mirrors about 3 feet across that they use at the end of "Hidden Drives" in New England.

A couple of weeks later, two Asian tourist men were being looked for in the same place. Their rental car was left with their wallets in it.

I don't know what ever happened with that story. We traveled around quite a bit with my husband's job (exploratory drilling for gold) and I think that we left there soon after.

That was Hawthorne, Nevada. Our Dog used to go hide every time we pointed to the sky. Well, anyway that's all for now. Sincerely.

Large Grey Disc/UFO Hovering In The Sky Between Tomball and Houston Texas (Diagram)

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, (Name removed) here again. I hope you had a nice trip.

I was driving south on State Highway 249 from Tomball toward Houston, Texas. I was watching a developing storm to the south in the direction I was headed. I saw a large grey disc hovering just above a large stand of Pine Trees in the distance to the east side of S.H. 249 about a mile or so south of me.

At first I thought it might be a promotional balloon at one of the car dealerships along the highway, but it was too far east and well off the highway. It was also too large. Then I thought maybe it was a small lenticular cloud formation, but it was way too low.

The more I watched it, the more of a defined shape I could see. It was very symmetrical, sort of a bi-level disc. I will e-mail a drawing to you. I watched it for only 10-15 seconds, then had to look away due to heavy traffic and a lane merge ahead.

When I looked back where it was, it was gone! No trace to be seen.

I could not tell exactly where it had been, but as I drove past all the Pine Tree forest to my left I looked for any trace of a sign, billboard, building, crane (there was a pair of large construction cranes, but they were well below treetop level), building under construction...etc., but there was nothing at the height of the grey disc shape I had seen.

I would say the object was 20 to 30 feet above the Pine Trees, making it 100 to 150 feet above the ground. The only aircraft I saw was a small twin engine cargo plane well east and north of the possible disc sighting area.

It was flying north at around 3000 to 5000 feet. Another short but odd sighting in this area since my last one on May 31st. I am now going to start carrying my digital camera with me again. I used to always carry it, but lack of any sightings made me give up after several months.

If I am starting to see some activity in this area, I hope the next sighting is long enough to get a photo at least. Well that's it for this one. Take care.

White/Gray Disc Shaped UFO Flew Over Manomet Massachusetts

 Date:  April 2012
Time:  Evening.

Manomet, MA approximately April 2012

My son and I were at our home which overlooks the ocean and is nestled on a cliff.

We heard a high pitched whine, very similar to a high speed electric motor.

We looked away from the water, towards the house and a saw it.

A white/gray unmarked and almost triangular (but more rounded/disc shaped) object passed over our home about 20 feet from the roofline. So close I could see all the panels, etc. It was about 40 feet across and from front to end about the same size.

I'm prior military. It looked like a new kind of drone, and man made--and not by a novice. My son to this day still tells his friends he saw a UFO with dad.

After some digging on my own, a few locals stated supposedly there are top secret drones at one of the bases here locally in MA, maybe this was one of them.

Black Colored Disc Shaped UFO Seen In The Sky From Campbell California

Date:  January 1, 2013
Time:  1:38 a.m.

Hello, I live in Campbell, CA. I was out on my front patio NYE (January 1, 2013 at this point) watching the skies for strange lights at 1:38 a.m.

I tend to see "strange" lights often hovering over the Cupertino quarry, or heading to and from Cruz and Santa Clara (city).

So I saw a disk at about a 35 degrees angle, dark squares around it, and lights flashing off it. The lights caused a reflection off the disc which made it appear to be a black object, but definitely a disc.

Hope this information helps you. The only reason why I pay close attention is because a grey/silver triangle flew directly over my head at 500 feet! I filed a report with MUFON about it. This event was 12/15/2011. I will never forget it.

The sad truth is that if we really don't want to know the truth, we shouldn't look up.

For me, its too late.

Police Officer Observes Huge Cylinder Craft Hovering And Smaller Disc UFO Lands In Northport Florida

Date:  February 4, 1991
Time:  Around noon.

On February 4, 1991 at about 12 noon while traveling north on route 41 in Northport I saw a huge cylinder UFO hovering above an intersection of I think Jacobean Road and a 4 or 6 lane highway with a divider.

I stopped at a light at the intersection behind a car carrying 3 women. There was also a Northport cop working an accident at that intersection. As I (and by the way I was also a Lee County Sheriff Department in a patrol car) was about to turn right into the highway, the woman in front of me swerved and went off the road.

They were all looking up and seemed to be panicking. I then looked up also and saw a huge UFO. Other cars across the road pulled over and watched too. While under the thing, I noticed  a smaller disc at about 100 feet high moving across the road.

It stopped and hovered, then did a falling leaf kind of thing then disappeared momentarily then reappeared  at a lower altitude and then landed in the woods off the highway. I continued to Fort Myers for my meeting. 

When returning off RT75 I went to that area where I thought it landed and found nothing. The next day I returned to the area and searched for landing gear impressions and found none.

I noticed that this place was a large area with a grid of over grown streets as if it were to be a subdivision, so it could of landed anywhere. I might add that the UFO looked at first like a blimp, but when I got under it I saw that it was metallic in nature and very big.

I'm thinking the disc came out of the UFO which I actually didn’t see happening. At that time I heard nothing of other witnesses and never heard of anyone else seeing this.

To this day it's always on my mind. I have over the years contacted several UFO organizations to no avail.

30 Feet In Diameter Glowing Blue Disc Shaped UFO Over Raleigh North Carolina

Time:  Approx: 6:00 p.m.

When I was a kid I would lay on the hood of my dad’s station wagon on cold winter nights and watch satellites drift by, hoping that one day I would see something I could not explain. I kept an image journal and made sketches of the light configurations of aircraft and helicopters so I could compare them with a probable UFO. Not once did I see anything unusual.

A few months ago when I was driving home from the grocery store I finally I witnessed something which defied explanation. I compared what I saw to my vast knowledge of aerial vehicles both civilian and military, as well as other light and weather phenomena, and nothing matched. 

I immediately drove back to the spot where I saw the object and looked for reflections in the windshield, expecting that I would be able to write it off as a house or street lamp, or one of those spotlights auto dealerships like to use to draw attention. 

I came up dry. Despite all of my attempts to explain what I saw, I couldn’t.

What I saw at roughly 6:00 p.m. on February 10th of 2012 was a dimly glowing blue disc which shot down the entire visible length of Six Forks Road between Wake Forest Road and the Belt Line, a considerable distance. 

There were no clouds or mist from which light could reflect. The image flew perfectly straight at an altitude of roughly 1200 feet and an estimated velocity of 250 mph. It remained disc shaped and adjusted appropriately with distance and angle. 

The dull blue color was very faint, but certainly a glow as though it were its own light source rather than being the result of a light source such as a flashlight, etc. The size of this object I approximated to be 30 feet in diameter. 

It made no sound, had no navigation lights, and did not repeat. The entire event lasted no longer than 3 seconds, which sounds short, but when you count it out it is actually a significant amount of time to view an object.

It has been long enough that if anyone else out there saw the same thing you may only have a vague recollection of the image. Even so, I’d like to hear every detail of your eyewitness account. Additionally, I wish to invite you to share any experience involving a UFO no matter how bizarre. This little sexpot wants to believe.

Black Disc UFO Lights Up Like An Arcade Game At Tomball Texas

Date:  November 1, 2009
Time:  Evening.

On November 1st 2009 I saw a black disc just above my fence, I too live in Tomball.

This was 10 feet away from me. It did not have it lights on at first, the craft proceeded to light up like an arcade game, one after another pulsating and detailed.

Very shiny black material, solar panels, looked like a flattened coffee filter, the sides we scalloped. It made no sound as I stood there. The only sound it made was when it approached.

I was in the fridge and I hear what sounded like a rocket taking off, (I live 2 minutes from Hooks, so I know this is not a plane or weather balloon or helicopter.

I looked out our back door (made from glass) and there was the black silhouette. 2 seconds into my looking at it, the disc lit up.

Silver Colored Disc Shaped UFO Seen Over Phoenix Arizona

Shape of Objects: Similar to a disc, but the top and bottom were considerable size.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was coming home from a job interview. I was on a local bus.

When we were approaching 12th St and Camelback, I noticed a bright ray of light seemed to annoy my eyes and I looked out the window and saw the silver UFO with a red circle light at the bottom left.

 Also I noticed a large dark window at the top portion of the UFO. I was shocked, I looked around to ask if anyone had seen it, and some people were sleeping, others listening to music with earphones.

I looked back up and it was gone. Phoenix, AZ and I also Googled this date for UFOs and several sightings of UFOs were seen and some were on the news for October 19, 2011.

4 Grey Disc Shape UFOs And Orange Lights Over Greenpoint Manhattan New York

Date:  July 29, 2012
Time:  9:00 p.m.

We were on Lorimore just below Meserole Street. In Greenpoint when we saw these 4 orange lights. We first looked at the sky because of the strange orange light on the clouds and then we spotted the crafts.

Three close together one further a part. The orange color flame was unlike anything we have seen and the way the crafts moved were so steady as if hovering and yet moving so fast.

Then three of them headed towards Manhattan northwest and as the light went off, or the craft turned we saw their shape.

Clearly a grey disc like shape and they looked big judging how how they were. We watched for 15-20 minute until they disappeared. There were three other men looking and filming.

Looks just like the UFO sighting I saw on YouTube.

The orange in the sky disappeared shortly after too, not sure if that has any connection.

Diamond Shaped UFO With Rotating Orange Disc Around It Seen Over Chico California

 

Date:  Around September of 2011

Time:  Evening.

 

Hello, my friends and I were out past midnight here in Chico, CA at the beginning of the school year, around September of 2011. We saw two UFOs that night. One appeared to be a massive meteor that I was afraid was going to hit Earth near us.

 

It was a massive burning rock and it just hung in mid-air for about 10 or 15 seconds before it descended out of view. The second UFO was a diamond shaped aircraft that appeared to have a rotating orange disc around it.

 

My friend saw the orange too, and asked me what it was. I swear it appeared the orange rotating disc was the way it moved. No visible normal engines or anything either. It crossed the sky right above us.

 

It appeared to be flying lower than a normal airplane, but not really close.

5 Orange Colored Disc Shaped Objects Seen Over Wales Loop Bonito Springs Florida

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I saw these a couple weeks ago. They were very close and there was no noise at all.

 

They were in formation, and just disappeared into the clouds, but turned white.

 

Additional Information:

 

What I saw was 5 orange objects, they looked like air balloons to me, but my husband saw them as discs.

 

They were certainly quiet as they glided in the air, they were also very close. They came from the houses across the street, went up the street, then up into the clouds.

Two Different UFO Sightings – Needle Shaped And A White Disc Seen Between Daytona And Jacksonville Florida

 

Date:  January 30, 2011

Time:  Approx: 3:00 p.m.

 

I have always believed in the fact that aliens and UFO’s exist (too many sightings and credible witnesses not to) and I actually saw 2 UFO’s on Interstate 95 last year (approximately 3:00 p.m. - 1/30/11) as I was driving North between Daytona and Jacksonville. 

 

The first one was like a silver needle-all flat with no tail or wings and it just flew about a 2 miles in front across the visible highway between the trees. 

 

Then about 20 minutes later, I saw a “white disc” that appeared in the same point of view and at first was still, and then it began to follow a plane that appeared from the left, but then it stopped and went backwards without gaining altitude. 

 

It did this a couple of times and then it disappeared from our sight (I had my cousin in the front seat who also witnessed this one as she was sleeping during the first sighting). 

 

I didn’t report it, as I didn’t know your site existed then. Any insight would be welcomed.

Large Disc UFO Rose Up From The Ground At Wilson And Trabue Road Columbus Ohio

 

Date:  April 1954

Time:  Afternoon.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I will be 72 in March. I have not forgotten the incident. At the time I was attending Hilliard Middle School, Hilliard, OH.

The house where I lived was located on 40 acres of land on Trabue Road. I decided to go horse back riding and saddled up my horse. We rode south from the barn and out onto the riding track.

 

About 15 minutes passed and my horse began to shake and came to an abrupt stop. I looked around me and to the east a large disc shaped object arose from the ground and with no lights or sound streaked towards the southwest.

 

Wright Patterson Air force base was located at Dayton, Ohio in the direction which the saucer flew. My parents thought I made it all up. However, two of my class mates who were working on their parents farm saw the disc.

 

I had further sightings in 1973 while living in New Bremen, OH.

Silver Gray Disc Shaped UFO Over Guernsey County Ohio

 

Date:  1968

Time:  2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 

Location of Sighting: CR 124 route 2 Guernsey County near Plainfield.

 

Number of witnesses: 4 children.

Shape of Objects: Silver/grayish oval disc.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw a grayish silver disc rise from behind a hill. Twenty years later my son saw one within 5 miles from where I saw mine as a child. He turned an ran and did not stay an observe it’s behavior or pattern.

Black Disc Object Observed Over Norfolk Virginia

Time:  Evening.

 

Sir, from what you've described, I seem to have seen a similar object in the sky above Norfolk Virginia last night. I was searching the internet to see if any sightings have been reported and I saw your post on The Vike Factor. The object seemed exactly as you described, except for the disc didn't seem to have any definite shape to it. 

 

One minute it would look like a disc and the next it almost seemed to be fluttering in and out. It was so black it seemed odd. I can't really describe it other than that. I saw no lights or heard no sounds. It was near dusk and the skies were very cloudy and there was a rain storm earlier. 

 

The object was flying eastward out toward the Atlantic. I did read another post somewhere else of a similar sighting in the UK in April. Sorry I don't have any more information. I wish I had a camera so I could have taken a picture.

Disc Shaped UFO 300 Feet Above The Tree Tops Over Lake Charles Louisiana

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hello, I hope I've not sent this before to this site. This occurred in September, 2003 in Lake Charles, LA at about 10:00pm local time. A disc was seen about 250-300 feet away just above the tree tops, no lights, no insignia, no noise, about 30-50 feet in diameter with a "top-hat" structure on top and a white painted ring on the outside bottom edge.

 

I was able to see it because of ambient street lighting. It moved at an estimated 15 mph and viewed for only 3-4 seconds before being obscured by trees. Was it military? if so, why would they fly this thing in a residential neighborhood?

 

What would happen if it malfunctioned? How would the military explain away a crash of a disc in a residential area? I doubt if they would take that chance. So, that must mean an alien craft. Then what does that mean? Alien craft free to fly around an observe us at night without governmental interference or acknowledgement to its citizens?

 

What is happening, why is our government so silent on these observations?

Large Green Glowing Disc Shaped UFO Hovering Over Garden Grove California

Date: 1987 – 1988-ish

Time: Evening.

I was turning left onto Orangewood Street from Yuclid. After I turned I noticed a large green glowing disc shaped UFO hovering in one spot over the distant trees to my left that was the property of a elementary school. As I noticed it, I immediately started crying and pulled over to the curb, unable to drive and shaking profusely. I immediately called 911 and they told me to call the news.

While still shaken up, I reported to the news and they told me dozens of calls had come in already with the same description. While I was talking to the news person, I was watching it and I was amazed at how the green glow was radiating around the UFO much like if you took a paint brush and drew a circle around it, then took a dry brush and fanned out the wet paint to where it looked spikey for lack of a better word.

Then it took off like the speed of light, and went to the right of where it was, or say it went northeast faster then I could count, one, two. It was as fast as a shooting star. The size of it from my perspective was if I put my fingers out to measure it from my eye was around 5 to 6 inches wide. I don't know exactly how far it was from me, but it gave me the feeling it was as big as an airplane.

It was greyish, but it was evening. I was one of the only times in my life that I was brought to my knees in awe. I knew immediately when I saw it, my brain said, it’s a UFO! Never in my life have I ever seen anything like it, accept on UFO sighting websites. This is the first time I have reported it, besides with the news.

Update - Bright Orange Light/Disc Over Lansing Michigan (Chinese Lantern)

Time: 9:30 p.m.

Shape of Objects: Bright orange light/disc.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: From the east noticed bright flickering orange light the size of Jupiter moving slowly to the west. It moved almost directly overhead as it passed to the west. It travelled at what seemed to be aircraft speed, maybe 3-5k feet.

As it got more directly overhead it flickered more and almost 'went out' . After it stopped flickering, a silent very dim orange disc/circle is what passed overhead the size of thumbnail at arms length. No change in direction, no sound.
