Black Hawk helicopters, the police and media seem to shy away from John after contacting them.

Not many people have heard this interview I did with John and Mark. The interview was done using Skype.

As some of you know, John Tosti went through a lot when dealing with close encounters from alien craft, and his missing time and alien abduction.

This interview Brian Vike did with John and Mark would have been the last conversation Brian had with John Tosti, as he passed away on 3-24-2011. Also the fellows believe they were followed, had phone taps, etc., after seeing this UFO which is covered in this interview.

Beam Of Light Hits State Police Officer And Eyewitnesses Watch UFO On The Ground At Poplar Bluff Missouri (Written Report/Audio Interview)

Time: Just at Sundown.

Location of Sighting: Highway 60 just north of Highway 67 by Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval.

Full Description of event/sighting: Brian, could you send me a number so I could talk to you on this as I am not a very good writer.

What happened was, my Grandfather and I and his brother where on our way to Poplar Bluff, Missouri to do some shopping and on the way we saw a bright light just up the road, it was kind of like when head lights on a car shine over a hill as it comes toward you.

The light became brighter as we got closer to the top of the hill. When we topped the hill, we saw a State Police car sitting in the middle of the road with the driver door open.

My grandfather stopped the car and started to get out. We were looking at the light in the trees just off the road, the light looked like a beam that was shining on the Police car and we could see the Trooper half in the car and half out.

His head was down like he was going to fall out of the car. The story has more, but it would be easier for me to just tell you.

The UFO or ship lifted up out of the trees in a few minutes and hovered for a little while then it just zoomed off very fast.

I will tell you about the trooper when you call, also this was written up in the Poplar Bluff News paper. I have not tried to look this up and our family had a cutout of the paper for years, but I do not know who has it at this time.

Where the UFO sat, the trees were damaged. We went back to the site the next day, and I went back a few years later and the marks were still on the trees.

There where three prints in the ground where it sat on it's struts, that we saw folding up when it lifted up out of the trees.

Brian I wrote you about this about a year ago, and I wrote to another group, but I never heard anything back. If you could contact me on this as I grew up in Piedmont Mo. and that was the time of many UFO sightings.

One of many types, and I got to see many of them as they happened.

Hunters Shoot At UFO And Beam Of Light Hits Police Car At Clovis New Mexico (Text Report/Audio Interview)

Clovis, New Mexico Sightings Related To Cannon AFB Sightings

Date:  January 1976
Time:  Evening

Investigator Brian Vike’s  Note: Reports from Clovis, New Mexico have been coming in from a number of different people. I am waiting on a detailed description of a "burn spot" in the open field that yielded a strangely shaped piece of metal (very light and strong) that was confiscated by authorities.

The witness also saw the tracks of pads in the field that were immediately covered over and he was interrogated by authorities (not local) during the event and much, much more coming.

A gentleman called me from Clovis, New Mexico on Sunday June 18, 2006 (Father's day). Since I was out at the time the call came in, my daughter took the fellows name and phone number and told him I would call Monday, June 19, 2006.

I did telephone the man on Monday, June 19, 2006 and had a wonderful conversation with him, plus took an amazing report over what he and a close friend of his saw that night. The fellow also gave me the name of his buddy and another name of someone else who was witness to strange events that night also.

I should point out that he also knew of others who saw the unusual objects over the two nights back in January of 1976. The fellow called after reading the Clovis News Journal as they carried a large article on the events that took place over the Cannon AFB in New Mexico.

The witness and his friend were out hunting coyotes just south (some 6 or 7 miles) of Clovis, New Mexico on a dirt road.

As they drove down the dirt road they both observed a light low over the horizon. Wondering what it was, as it appeared to look out of the norm, they decided to investigate.

They knew there wasn't any bright stars that close to the horizon at least at this time of the year and at that time. As they watched, the light did not move and again the gentleman impressed upon me that what ever this light was, "it was low"!

Eventually they started traveling towards the light and finally got positioned right underneath it. The witness said it was a blue/green blinking light. They both were so fascinated by what they were seeing above them, and the light sitting stationary above at approximately 300 yards they got out of the truck.

The object was not making a sound, he said, it was dead quite! There wasn't even a breeze that evening and they estimated they sat underneath the object for approximately 5 minutes.

Since the men both had rifles with them, the witness I talked with grabbed his 30-06 rifle and took a shot at the object and believes he put a round into it. As soon as the fellow fired and the impact of the shell struck the craft it immediately started to move straight north.

They both jumped back into the truck and started to head north towards Clovis following the object. The driver got the truck up to it's top speed which was running at 120 miles per hour and the object was pulling away from the two men in their truck.

He said is was moving a lot faster than they were able to travel. They estimated it had to be traveling at 200 miles an hour or better. The object changed it's direction of travel by turning in a slight curve and it was now heading in the direction towards Texico, New, Mexico.

As they still were traveling at a high rate of speed along the dirt road they said they could see the highway which was approximately two miles away from them, and it, it meaning the object.

Still keeping their eyes peeled on this strange light/craft, they saw a local Sheriff traveling along the highway east towards Texico from Clovis in his squad car, with the car's emergency lights flashing. The men figured the Sheriff was from either Texico or Farwell, New, Mexico.

As they watched the object it shone a bright light down onto the Sheriff's squad car, completely flooding the squad car with light, then the object shot straight up at an incredible rate of speed and disappeared.

It just shot up into space and it was gone!

He told me he sat by quietly because he figured it might have been a military aircraft and he just put a bullet into the thing, not wanting to get into any trouble over shooting it. Also he mentioned after he saw the object doing all these strange maneuvers he was glad he placed a bullet into it.

He also told me that they watched the lights on the first night they were being reported in the area with his cousin, and the lights moved erratically all over the night sky. So once again this shows that these unusual lights were around for two nights like everyone has been reporting.

The witness also mentioned that he spoke to another man who taught at the Clovis Community College (name was given) and he watched the object/lights travel right behind the man's property which was north of Clovis. This fellow reported that the object was long/cigar in shape.

There was more the gentleman reported which was again very interesting.

Base Police Rousted Out Around 10 Military Personal At Loring AFB UFO Incident

 Date:  Winter 1971/1972

Loring AFB UFO incident. I was stationed at Loring 1971-1975. During my first year in the winter of '71/'72 I and about ten others were rousted out of our bunks by base police and driven to what was then referred to as East Base.

This was the area where the nukes were stored. We entered the secure area and proceeded to the perimeter fence that had been damaged.

We were given snowshoes and fencing pliers. An area of about 100 feet diameter had been smashed down along with a portion of fencing.

We put on the snowshoes and tried to navigate the deep snow. None of us had ever used snowshoes before. After some time, we finally got the fence repaired and were taken back to our barracks.

We were told not to talk about this to anyone, ever. True story.

Police Officer Observes Huge Cylinder Craft Hovering And Smaller Disc UFO Lands In Northport Florida

Date:  February 4, 1991
Time:  Around noon.

On February 4, 1991 at about 12 noon while traveling north on route 41 in Northport I saw a huge cylinder UFO hovering above an intersection of I think Jacobean Road and a 4 or 6 lane highway with a divider.

I stopped at a light at the intersection behind a car carrying 3 women. There was also a Northport cop working an accident at that intersection. As I (and by the way I was also a Lee County Sheriff Department in a patrol car) was about to turn right into the highway, the woman in front of me swerved and went off the road.

They were all looking up and seemed to be panicking. I then looked up also and saw a huge UFO. Other cars across the road pulled over and watched too. While under the thing, I noticed  a smaller disc at about 100 feet high moving across the road.

It stopped and hovered, then did a falling leaf kind of thing then disappeared momentarily then reappeared  at a lower altitude and then landed in the woods off the highway. I continued to Fort Myers for my meeting. 

When returning off RT75 I went to that area where I thought it landed and found nothing. The next day I returned to the area and searched for landing gear impressions and found none.

I noticed that this place was a large area with a grid of over grown streets as if it were to be a subdivision, so it could of landed anywhere. I might add that the UFO looked at first like a blimp, but when I got under it I saw that it was metallic in nature and very big.

I'm thinking the disc came out of the UFO which I actually didn’t see happening. At that time I heard nothing of other witnesses and never heard of anyone else seeing this.

To this day it's always on my mind. I have over the years contacted several UFO organizations to no avail.

Police Officer Got Call To Investigate Red Glowing Lights Over Texas City Texas

 

Date:  April 7, 2012

Time:  About 9:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

 

My family saw the same red glowing lights last night in Texas City, TX. They had no idea what it was. My mother told me the lights made a triangular formation and faded one by one at about 9:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. outside of a restaurant.

 

There was a local police officer eating who got a call over his radio to go outside and try to identify what is going on. The restaurant staff, owner and guest proceeded to follow him and witness the event.

 

Everyone used their cell phone to try to get a pictures, but none were focused enough. Some people speculated they were stationary helicopters, red paper lanterns or high altitude flares.

Witness Listening To Police Scanner Hears Information On 4 Orange Lights Over Boston Massachusetts

I'm not sure what night, it was maybe the last week in December. My Boston Police Scanner on BPD Ch. 6,Dor./So.Boston, an officer announced "Up In the sky, people". I ran out on to Dorchester Ave, near Savin Hill Ave., and saw at least 4 orange lights in a line, one after the other.

 

Very high and moving roughly north from South, I tried binoculars but really couldn't see much clearer.

Police Officers Witness Large Glowing Orange UFO Over Doral/Miami Springs Area Florida

 

Date:  December 17, 2011

Time:  Midnight shift.

Brian Vike, I am a Miami Police officer and work the midnight shift. Last night another officer got on the radio and stated there was an orange object in the sky near the moon. He advised it was on the east side of the city near the moon (Doral/Miami Springs area).

I looked for it for about 3 minutes and didn’t find anything. Sure enough when I turned my vehicle and went west, I saw the object and could not believe it. It was a big orange glowing object. 

I saw this for about seconds before it disappeared. When I got on the radio the original officer who advised of it, also saw it again. Never again will I laugh at people who have spotted UFOs.

There was no way this object was a plane or helicopter or balloon. Anyway, I have the experience recorded from our radio transmissions. Neither the other officer nor I thought of taking out our phones to record it on time. 

I found your website after Googling orange UFO to try and figure out what I saw. To my surprise many have seen the same thing! I wonder if it is the military?

Police Boats Chase Red Lights Over The Ocean At Virginia Beach Virginia

 

Date:  July 3, 2000

Time:  Evening.

 

What I say was witnessed, my husband, whom doesn't or didn't believe in UFO's.  It was July 3rd 2000, we were on our Honey-Moon at VA. Beach. Our hotel room was ocean side with a balcony. So, on this day there was this huge firework show! 

 

The thing I fixated on was the activity on the ocean, it seemed to be police boats. I still didn't think to much of it until I noticed the fireworks was masking the real activity on the ocean. The average individual may not have noticed, but once the fireworks lighted up the sky, the red amber lights that fell downward toward the ocean surface had began to dissipate on the decent. 

 

But, a few red lights stopped short of the ocean surface, hovering and began running parallel to the ocean surface. Then, what seemed to be police boats would chase the red light for approximately one hundred feet to a quarter mile and the boats would end there chase once the red ball of light would descend into the ocean. 

 

This would leave about 7 to 12 boat just bobbing in the ocean, until the next set of red balls appeared through the camouflage fireworks which lasted about an hour and thirty minutes. Which a few times the red balls split becoming three red balls and they would seem to be spaced actually the same distance and would flirt with the would be police they would come from ever direction and once the boat got to the location of the red light the light would dip into the ocean. 

 

I watch this activity for a little over an hour. The next day my husband and I purchased binoculars and we were ready for the big July 4th firework show, but guess what there was not a boat in sight nor was there any strange red lights provoking little would be police boats.

Police And Folks Observe 5 Balls Of Light Over Belvidere Illinois

Date: July 17, 2010

Time: Evening.

Hi, Brian, I just Googled the description of what my husband and I viewed in the sky on Saturday night (7/17), and your website popped up. I cannot believe that these (5) balls have been seen by others. We actually pulled over to the side of the road that had no shoulder while driving on Kishwaukee from Rockford through Belvidere and spotted them. We saw that other cars had pulled over as well, not realizing the other cars were police cars.

The officers asked us if we had a problem, and I told them that we just wanted to get a better view of what was flying overhead and asked if they thought they were UFO’s. The officers told us they had never seen anything like them before and asked us to leave so that we were not in any danger. We pulled away and saw that the lights disappeared instantaneously shortly thereafter. Do you have any further information on these UFO’s?

Columbia Missouri A Silver Bullet Shaped UFO (Police Involved)

Date: 1981 (?) Time: 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Looking North from Rock Bridge Elementary School over the city of Columbia. Number of witnesses: Two plus numerous police. Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Silver bullet shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: Well, I've not written of this sighting for 25 years but I guess I'm not afraid to speak out anymore. My husband and I saw the article on AOL and decided to lend our support to those, like us, who have had the daylights scared out of them in this situation. When we were first married we would get our jollies out of listening to the police scanner and racing to fires, multi-vehicle wrecks, and any other interesting incident. We were listening late one night to some police obviously excited in their transmissions, telling dispatch they were chasing some bright objects in the night sky but were unable to get very close to them. I grabbed my camera and we ran out and jumped into the car and raced to the location, near Rock Bridge State Park where they had last reported seeing the lights. We parked, facing North, in the parking lot of the Elementary School.

We got out and hadn't walked very far when we looked up just above the tree tops over Columbia and saw an object, who's size was difficult to distinguish due to the distance, but it seemed very large. The bullet shaped object had lights around the outside that seemed to be moving towards the back all the time and had several lights shining down onto the field across the road and they moved like the spotlights move that they use for grand opening events, like on a swivel on the object. When I saw this thing, whatever it was I was instantly terrified. I mean really terrified! I've traveled all over the world now doing all sorts of very dangerous things, from climbing without protection in the Alps and whitewater Kayaking. I've come close to death more than few times in my life, but I've never been this afraid before or since. I was shaking but put the camera to my eye and started snapping. We both started backing quietly into the blackness and towards the car.

I felt ready to bolt at any minute. (My husband told me later he had the identical feeling before I had even told him and he's a great big tough guy!) I knew, as did he, they or it, or whatever somehow knew we were there watching. What a creepy feeling it was. Anyway, as we backed up, the bullet shaped object suddenly shot off to the west and disappeared, not just faded by literally disappeared! Now my Dad was a college professor and he taught his children to be clear-thinking, honest and critical of all things not explainable by science. I'm sure there's a logical explanation for all this, even if it's not something we really know about yet. The newspaper wanted to talk to my husband and I separately about the "sighting" and we agreed and came up with the identical "story". I gave the newspaper my roll of film but they said the pictures were too underexposed and they were mostly black when I got them back. I just wish I had thought about having the film exposed at a specialty studio or somewhere that could have underexposed the film a little. Who knows? I read a story earlier about some people who mysteriously "forgot" the incident. If it hadn't been for the newspaper article and having to write things down, I'm sure we would have forgotten also. We have to talk about it now and then to keep it from fading from our memory also. I'll look through the Columbia Daily Tribune archive and see if I can come up with the article.

Round Lake, Illinois Police Officers And Many Witness To UFO Sighting

Date: April 25, 2008 Time: Approx: 8:45 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research Note: Another major UFO event has taken place in the Midwest of the United States. People were pulled over to the side of the road and the police were there observing the UFO as well. I certainly would like to request that if anyone knows anything about this event to please write to Brian Vike at hbccufo@telus.net or go through the website at www.hbccufo.org as I am searching for other eyewitnesses and more detail. Also if an officer who has any knowledge of the event, please do contact me. Of course all personal information says private ! Also HBCC UFO Research removed names in this report.

Brian, the unfortunate part of this story is that I didn't experience it first hand. The other unfortunate part is that my coworker would never report this to ANYONE he doesn't personally know for fear of ridicule. When I got to work this morning, my coworker was acting a bit odd. When I greeted him he said ". I gotta tell you something really bizarre. I didn't even tell my wife because she'll think I'm crazy."

My coworker lives in Round Lake, Illinois which is rather far north. He was a short distance from his home on route 120 (I believe he said) which has some farm area and quite a bit of space.

He tensed up and got very wide eyed and intense. This is what he told us (another employee and myself), not verbatim but this is rather close. As I was driving I saw this huge light at ground level but still above the field it was over. I kept driving but I saw cars pulled over with people out of their cars watching so I pulled over. I asked some people what they thought and I said I thought it was some equipment being used or kids screwing around. But the light just sat there for awhile. Nothing happened so I started to drive away when I noticed the light wasn't getting any smaller. I saw more cars pulled off up ahead again so I pulled over again and watched it for awhile. By this point a cop showed up with his lights on. He asked everyone what was going on, I told him what I thought it was but that something was weird about it. So then another cop/car pulls up and says, 'You can only see it from the one side, I drove around the property.' Now, we all think it some sort of lighting rig. So the cops head out across the field towards the light when it shot directly up in the air like 20 feet and disappeared. NOT flew away, disappeared. The cops came running back pretty freaked out. I hung around while they searched the area and found not a trace of anything out there. At this point is was 11:30pm."

We get off work at 8pm, which would have put him in that area at 8:45. My coworker has a wife and a 3 year old son that he adores. He is an incredibly nice and liable person. In 5 years of working with him I have never heard him exaggerate any details nor have we ever discussed my passion for UFO's and Chemtrails. I try to keep that stuff away from work (until now!). Man! I wish I were there! So much stuff is happening in our area (the Midwest). Let's see? Sonic Booms/Earthquake/Chemtrails/Hail Storms/Orbs/Strange Light/Increasing Sightings... Fertile, Minnesota Chief Of Police And Family Watch Hovering UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: After the Fertile fair on a Sunday night my dad got called out to a thing which was hovering over a ladies home. My Dad was the chief of police in Fertile at the time and he let me and my little brother go with him. We pulled into the highway patrolman's yard and watched it with him. This would have been three miles out of Fertile. It was crazy and this was a long time ago. The newspaper in Fertile claimed it was a helicopter.

Monticello, New York The Police And Fire Engines Following Huge UFO

Date: Labor Day weekend 1985
Time: Evening. (Dusk)

Move forward nine years, labor day weekend 1985 in Monticello, NY, for several years we camped at Bailey Lake. A small campground with a mile long by 1/2 mile wide lake, right down the road form the Concord Hotel. It was a really lousy rainy weekend and most campers went home. I was not there, having told my parents I was celebrating my 21st birthday with a party at the house. Big Mistake. It was Sunday night, the sun was starting to set. The tree line started immediately behind our camper, the woods are tall and deep. My parents and my sister we're out front with our Neighbor and his grandson, looking towards the lake. They started hearing a loud humming machine generator sound. My dad said what is that and the neighbors grandson said, It probably a UFO jokingly. They look up and just above the trees, 60 feet tall, there it was.

The craft slowly moved above them. I asked my dad what the surface looked like smooth or like Star Wars/Battlestar Galactica. He said it was Star Wars like and he could clearly see the details. They all went down to the lake about 50 feet away for a clearer look. They watch the UFO about 400 yards wide by 30. They watched for about 15 minutes as it slowly crossed the lake and headed towards downtown Monticello. The police and Fire Engines could be seen with sirens blasting completely following it. Now my dad believes me. Today was his birthday and I told him about last weeks flying Pumpkins.

Round Lake, Illinois Police Officers And Many Witness To UFO Sighting

HBCC UFO Research Note: Another major UFO event has taken place in the Midwest of the United States. People were pulled over to the side of the road and the police were there observing the UFO as well. I certainly would like to request that if anyone knows anything about this event to please write to Brian Vike at hbccufo@telus.net or go through the website at www.hbccufo.org as I am searching for other eyewitnesses and more detail. Also if an officer who has any knowledge of the event, please do contact me. Of course all personal information says private ! Also HBCC UFO Research removed names in this report.

Brian, the unfortunate part of this story is that I didn't experience it first hand. The other unfortunate part is that my coworker would never report this to ANYONE he doesn't personally know for fear of ridicule. When I got to work this morning, my coworker was acting a bit odd. When I greeted him he said ". I gotta tell you something really bizarre. I didn't even tell my wife because she'll think I'm crazy."

My coworker lives in Round Lake, Illinois which is rather far north. He was a short distance from his home on route 120 (I believe he said) which has some farm area and quite a bit of space.

He tensed up and got very wide eyed and intense. This is what he told us (another employee and myself), not verbatim but this is rather close.
As I was driving I saw this huge light at ground level but still above the field it was over. I kept driving but I saw cars pulled over with people out of their cars watching so I pulled over. I asked some people what they thought and I said I thought it was some equipment being used or kids screwing around. But the light just sat there for awhile. Nothing happened so I started to drive away when I noticed the light wasn't getting any smaller. I saw more cars pulled off up ahead again so I pulled over again and watched it for awhile. By this point a cop showed up with his lights on. He asked everyone what was going on, I told him what I thought it was but that something was weird about it. So then another cop/car pulls up and says, 'You can only see it from the one side, I drove around the property.' Now, we all think it some sort of lighting rig. So the cops head out across the field towards the light when it shot directly up in the air like 20 feet and disappeared. NOT flew away, disappeared. The cops came running back pretty freaked out. I hung around while they searched the area and found not a trace of anything out there. At this point is was 11:30pm."

We get off work at 8pm, which would have put him in that area at 8:45. My coworker has a wife and a 3 year old son that he adores. He is an incredibly nice and liable person. In 5 years of working with him I have never heard him exaggerate any details nor have we ever discussed my passion for UFO's and Chemtrails. I try to keep that stuff away from work (until now!). He was genuinely scared when he talked about this. I could see it in his face, clearly. I need to get some more details like what police squad showed up, how big was the light, etc. I wonder if the cops will file a report or if it will get squashed?

Kokomo, Indiana Sonic Boom/Jet Fighters - Event Covered Up ?

HBCC UFO Research has received numerous reports on this event, one of the witnesses tells of a unknown craft that was seen in the area. So knowing the military the way we do, I am wondering if there is more to this event than we are being told. It certainly would not surprise me, and after reading the below information it makes one wonder even more. Again, if anyone living in the area has any information over the April 16, 2008 event would they please contact Brian Vike at hbccufo@telus.net as any and all information is needed.

In response to the sightings in Kokomo, IN on April 16th 2008, on the police scanner a little after 10pm, all available units (county, city and state police, from 2 different counties) were all scrambling to find the source of the sonic 'boom' They were discussing opening up two county schools football fields to open a search command post. About 45 mins into the search, a county official came over the radio and with a shaking voice, and "confirmed he was at the scene" Mind you, early in during the search, about 10:15pm, the police said they had contacted all major airports and no planes were in the area directly prior to the event. They specifically named Grissom AFB and the National Guard in Fort Wayne Indiana had been contacted and had no involvement. Suddenly after the official confirmed the info about the scene, they briefly kept calling it "an astronomical incident" and shortly after, all units were told they were dismissed from the search, and to return to their normal calls. All radio communication ceased, and the few officers talking were told to communicate with cellular phones. The night of April 16th, many unusual un-marker police cars were spotted around the Howard and Tipton county lines, as if they were guarding something.

The next morning, the National Guard released a statement saying it "may have been F-16 training in the area"

Hours later, they "confirmed it was government training"

Remember the first radio transmissions..."all airports and government establishments had been contacted, and denied any air action in that time period"

Hmm.

Interesting.

There were hundreds of 911 calls in Howard County Indiana within a 35 min time-span.

Columbia Missouri A Silver Bullet Shaped UFO (Police Involved)

Location of Sighting: Looking North from Rock Bridge Elementary School over the city of Columbia.
Number of witnesses: Two plus numerous police.
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Silver bullet shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: Well, I've not written of this sighting for 25 years but I guess I'm not afraid to speak out anymore. My husband and I saw the article on AOL and decided to lend our support to those, like us, who have had the daylights scared out of them in this situation. When we were first married we would get our jollies out of listening to the police scanner and racing to fires, multi-vehicle wrecks, and any other interesting incident. We were listening late one night to some police obviously excited in their transmissions, telling dispatch they were chasing some bright objects in the night sky but were unable to get very close to them. I grabbed my camera and we ran out and jumped into the car and raced to the location, near Rock Bridge State Park where they had last reported seeing the lights. We parked, facing North, in the parking lot of the Elementary School.

We got out and hadn't walked very far when we looked up just above the tree tops over Columbia and saw an object, who's size was difficult to distinguish due to the distance, but it seemed very large. The bullet shaped object had lights around the outside that seemed to be moving towards the back all the time and had several lights shining down onto the field across the road and they moved like the spotlights move that they use for grand opening events, like on a swivel on the object. When I saw this thing, whatever it was I was instantly terrified. I mean really terrified! I've traveled all over the world now doing all sorts of very dangerous things, from climbing without protection in the Alps and whitewater Kayaking. I've come close to death more than few times in my life, but I've never been this afraid before or since. I was shaking but put the camera to my eye and started snapping. We both started backing quietly into the blackness and towards the car.

I felt ready to bolt at any minute. (My husband told me later he had the identical feeling before I had even told him and he's a great big tough guy!) I knew, as did he, they or it, or whatever somehow knew we were there watching. What a creepy feeling it was. Anyway, as we backed up, the bullet shaped object suddenly shot off to the west and disappeared, not just faded by literally disappeared! Now my Dad was a college professor and he taught his children to be clear-thinking, honest and critical of all things not explainable by science. I'm sure there's a logical explanation for all this, even if it's not something we really know about yet. The newspaper wanted to talk to my husband and I separately about the "sighting" and we agreed and came up with the identical "story". I gave the newspaper my roll of film but they said the pictures were too underexposed and they were mostly black when I got them back. I just wish I had thought about having the film exposed at a specialty studio or somewhere that could have underexposed the film a little. Who knows? I read a story earlier about some people who mysteriously "forgot" the incident. If it hadn't been for the newspaper article and having to write things down, I'm sure we would have forgotten also. We have to talk about it now and then to keep it from fading from our memory also. I'll look through the Columbia Daily Tribune archive and see if I can come up with the article.
