Large Bright Green Ball Falling Out Of The Sky Boston Massachusetts

Date:  May 16, 2016.

Time:  Approx: 1:00 a.m.

I know I'm late to this thread, but tonight I saw what looked like a very bright, large green ball falling out of the sky toward the ground.

It looked so big, I thought there was going to be a noise when it hit the ground.

I'm in Boston by the way. Did anyone find out what this could have been? I'm very curious. It's around 1:00 a.m. right now so I'm excited to see if anyone else around here reports seeing something similar tomorrow.

Definitely one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

Whole Sky Lit Up Over Boston Massachusetts

I was working Monday October 29, 2012 evening at the MBTA bus garage in Boston, MA near the Shrafft building.

It was during hurricane Sandy.

I was moving a bus when I saw the whole sky lit up at around 6:43 p.m. I didn't hear any thunder, nor did I see anymore flash. It was an amazing sight.

Cluster Of Lights Seen Flying Over Boston Massachusetts

Time:  Evening.

Good day, last night I was driving over the Tobin bridge, in Boston MA, coming back into the city from the Northshore and witnessed a cluster of lights floating in a stationary position above the city. I am not one who looks for evidence of extraterrestrials everywhere.

I go and I am hesitant to even voice this observation, but it has been bothering me since I saw it last night. At first, I thought it was part of a tower, but as I approached the city I realized it was on level with the moon.

The moon was an orange shaded crescent last night and maybe it contributed to the appearance of there being lights? Again, I am not someone who believes things such as this easily. Were there any reports at all of this? Sincerely.

Ball Of Fire In The Sky Over Boston Massachusetts

I live in Boston and at around 8:30 p.m. on August 20, 2012 I stepped out of my apartment looked at the sky and saw what appeared to be a ball of fire slowly moving across the sky.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, but it sounds similar to what you saw.

Triangular Array Of Three Bright Objects Over North Shore Boston Massachusetts

 

Date:  March 26, 2012

Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

 

Last night I observed a triangular array of three bright objects in the night sky around 10:30 p.m. Upon seeing the first, I first thought it was an aircraft, but upon further observation it seemed much higher than an aircraft and was not moving like an aircraft (not moving at all).

 

I then noticed two other objects of similar size and brightness in a very large triangular pattern. I have yet to hear any explanation of what these could have been. In fact, I have yet to hear much talk about them at all.

 

Does anyone know anything about these lights/objects? I observed these on the North Shore and they were fixed (or static) for quite some time.

 

These three objects were in a southwesterly direction from my location

Three Objects In A Triangular Pattern Seen In The Sky North Of Boston Massachusetts

Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

 

I live on the North Shore and at about 11:00 p.m. last night I noticed one, and then three similar objects in the night sky. They were in a large triangular pattern and seemed similar to an aircraft at high altitude. 

 

However, they were not moving and seemed much higher than most aircraft I have observed.

 

I have looked this evening and see one that looks similar and in roughly the same location. However, I do not see the other two. 

 

The object I am seeing tonight could be a planet, (I am by no means an expert) but last night there was three in a triangular pattern.

 

I would estimate the distance between legs of the triangle to be 100 miles. So, a good distance away from each other, but close enough to resemble a set pattern.

 

I Goggled your comments and was wondering does this sound like what you observed? 

 

I have heard nothing mentioned on the news today regarding these lighted objects so I am curious if anyone else has observed them. Thanks.

Unknown Bright Light Observed Over Boston Massachusetts

Time:  Approx: 8:00 p.m.

 

Last night,there was a third bright light in the sky, directly in line with the two bright objects, which I have seen nightly for some time now.

 

I read that one light is Jupiter and the second is Venus. On 20th March 2012 I observed a third bright object, which was in line with the usual two objects.

 

I observed this 3rd light at about 8:00 p.m. in the sky just north of Boston, Mass. When I went outside about an hour later, at roughly 9:00 p.m.

 

I was surprised to see just 2 objects.

 

The 3rd light was gone. Does anyone know what it was that I saw last night?

Meteor Streaks Through The Sky Over Boston Massachusetts

I saw a very similar event with my sister driving SE of Boston on the same day, approximately same time. 

 

She doesn't believe in anything, and she kept saying what is that, what was that.

 

Still don't know, I thought for sure people were going start pulling over on the highway, but they just slowed and I haven't seen any reports here of any sightings.

 

I thought for sure it might be a meteor, but nothing on the news about it?

Bright Orange Lights Hovering Over Boston Massachusetts

Hello, I found your website while researching recent strange lights over Boston and I wanted to share my experience while it is still fresh in my mind.

I will preface by saying that I am a pragmatic man, not prone to believing in fairy tales, ghosts, or any matter of so-called unexplained phenomena. I do not mean this as an insult to people who do believe, but merely as a statement of fact.

 

However, I must admit that what I saw just a few hours ago over the Boston skyline has so far escaped all my attempts at rationalization or explanation.

At roughly 5:45 PM today, February 15th, I was walking home on Boylston street facing Massachusetts Avenue after having just left the Trader Joe's across the street from Hynes Convention Center. As I walked, I noticed a quartet of bright orange lights hovering in place several miles due west from my location.

 

At first I took it for airplanes descending on Logan, since three of the lights were perfectly aligned with each other and spaced equally apart. The fourth light hovered below the lined-up trio, but was clearly part of the same formation. It didn't take long for me to realize that a) airplanes do not glow a bright, unblinking orange; and b) they were way too far from Logan to be a row of descending airplanes.

As I stopped to get a better look, I realized the lights were perfectly fixed in place and hadn't move an inch in the sky from the moment I caught a glimpse of them -- they were hovering. All of a sudden as if in cue, the two "flanking" lights part of the in-line trio blinked out of sight.

 

The middle light and the one trailing below remained fixed for a moment, then the middle light shot upwards rapidly and disappeared. After a few moments the low trailing light blinked out in a fashion similar to the previous two "flanking" lights.

I am an 8-year Boston resident and I've seen my share of low-flying airplanes, medical and police helicopters, and even the occasional military jet formation during Sox games. What I saw tonight was unlike anything I've seen before, in Boston or otherwise.

 

I started looking up videos and firsthand accounts of similar sightings, and to my surprise they seemed to match what I saw tonight with uncanny accuracy, brightly colored, orange tinged lights hovering in place for a moment then disappearing.

If you've caught wind of any other reports from tonight, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know. I need to know that I'm not seeing things, and/or going crazy. Sincerely.

Witness Listening To Police Scanner Hears Information On 4 Orange Lights Over Boston Massachusetts

 

Date:  Last week in December ?

Time:  Evening.

 

I'm not sure what night, it was maybe the last week in December. My Boston Police Scanner on BPD Ch. 6,Dor./So.Boston, an officer announced "Up In the sky, people". I ran out on to Dorchester Ave, near Savin Hill Ave., and saw at least 4 orange lights in a line, one after the other.

 

Very high and moving roughly north from South, I tried binoculars but really couldn't see much clearer.

Strange Orange Lights Move In Different Directions Over Boston Massachusetts

Time:  6:00 p.m.

 

My girl friend and I saw strange orange lights just east of Boston this evening at 6:00 p.m. (1/6/2012) There was a black spot low in the sky around close to where the lights were.

 

They moved slow and in different directions, glowing bright then dim. Very strange, never saw anything like it. Anyone else in the Boston area see this?

Three Red Lights Over Boston Massachusetts

Date: February 17, 2011

Time: Approx: 11:45 p.m.

Three red lights in a triangle formation traveled east. The point of the triangle was first followed by the base. They made their way towards the water, one of the base points of light moved past the other and they were traveling in a relatively straight line, and eventually lifted above cloud cover one at a time.

About a minute after those disappeared, a fourth red light flew the same path and disappeared at the same point in the sky. As they moved overhead, they were silent and the only thing my two friends and I saw of them was the light.

Several Orange And Red Lights Over Boston Massachusetts

Hi, I live in the Boston, MA area. I went in to work at 10:00pm last night on January 25, 2011. While I was inside, my co-workers who walked in a few minutes after me said they had seen several orange and red lights in the sky moving slowly towards the east. Some said this was the second group of the night that they have seen. I wish I could have seen these lights, but they were gone when I got outside.

Bright Orange Objects In V Formation Over Boston Massachusetts

Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

I saw the same sightings in Boston Massachusetts around 1130pm. They were in a line of 4 then 2 connected to the 4 on the other side making a V. Once I took out my camera to record, they started to disappear one by one. We went inside and when we came back out, we saw 3 perfectly aligned in a V shape. They looked like bright orange blobs moving together on the sky. It was crazy!
