5 Orange Colored Lights In The Sky Flying Over Columbus Ohio

Hello Brian, tonight (February 9th, 2013 at between 9:00 and 10:00 pm) my girlfriend and I saw exactly what was described on your site unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com.

She saw five of the orange lights and I came out a few minutes later and saw three. We live on the southwest side of Columbus, Ohio and often look at the sky from our back porch, weather permitting.

We have never seen anything like this, they appeared to be fairly low, but we heard no sound.

After watching the news and hearing nothing about them, I did a Google search and eventually found your site with an explanation of exactly what we witnessed.

We are just curious of what they could possible be.

Blue/Green Flash Of Light In The Sky Seen Between Columbus To Proctorville Ohio

Time:  Around 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Hi, I live in Southern Ohio, and I was driving from Columbus to Proctorville, when I saw a blue-green flash of light in the sky.

It wasn't the entire night sky, just ahead of me on the horizon. It was around 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m., and it was bright enough to show the details of the clouds.

The weather has been really weird tonight, too. Anyway, I was with my daughter and husband, and they were both asleep, so right now no one saw it, but me, I've been asking around though. I read something about "3 days of darkness prefaced by flashes of light in the sky?

It was nothing like lightning, by the way. Hope this helps. Oh, and it happened Thursday, December 20, 3012.

8 Small Yellow Colored Lights Over Columbus Ohio

Full Description of Event/Sighting: A small yellow light was floating across the sky s sw to n ne below 1700 feet, followed by approximately 7 more at 1 minute intervals.

The 5th and 6th one was actually a pair of lights equally spaced apart that floated slowly in the same direction as the previous 4, then the 7 and 8 light was moving twice the speed not floating, more guided in the same direction.

The interesting item was no sound all 8 passed within 10 minuets.

It was quite an interesting event in Columbus, Ohio and wondering if anyone also saw these lights.

Last night 10/12/12 my daughter and I saw similar sighting. It seemed to be floating upwards, then as it got higher it (obviously) got smaller and seem to shoot into the nighttime sky?

I actually saw a column of red/orange light this morning 9/25/2012 from 670 headed towards downtown Columbus, OH. It was there for maybe 40-50 seconds and it just disappeared. It was kind of weird. Strange.

Bright Object With Large Flame Above It Over Downtown Columbus Ohio

Full Description of Event/Sighting: As we walked to our cars parting ways, an extremely bright-orange/red object caught my eye in the night sky. I paused to make sure I wasn't looking at an airplane about to crash or some kind of lantern or "weather balloon".

The object was a bright red/orange light with an even brighter light-an obvious "flame" above it. It traveled slowly across the sky from east to west clear as day and maintained its size and speed. I called the rest of the group to attention and we all stood in the street watching it.

The craft almost seemed like it was aware that we were watching it! I say this because as we all stood in awe saying , what the heck. It began to decelerate right in our line of sight.

It slowed and slowed until it came to a complete stop right in the air, by that point we knew it was not any normal type of aircraft.

The flame eventually dimmed and the bright orange light remained hovering until it slowly disappeared. From start to finish-the encounter lasted about 5 minutes. Thank you.

Orange/Red Pillar Of Light Over Columbus Ohio

Saw an orange red flame pillar looking object over Columbus Ohio tonight, 7/22/12 around 10:25 p.m. ET. We are in Reynoldsburg Ohio and as walking up the stairs saw it through our entry way window.

Stayed for several minutes, went outside and still there. It was in the sky over what would be Downtown Columbus or west of us. Did not see it when it disappeared we were heading back inside to get a better look from the second floor.

Two Objects With Flames Seen Flying Over Columbus Ohio

Hi, I went in the house and Googled it as fast as I could, and I found your message on top! Thank God! I'm in Columbus Ohio sitting in my back room with the windows open and blinds back. 

 

I was watching TV when I saw 2 weird looking some things flying smoothly, but yet with flames. I tried calling my sister next door to me and couldn't get her fast enough before they just sort of vanished in the air. 

 

No trail  no sound no flickering lights, just flames glowing upward on whatever it was. You don't know how happy I was to see this when I Googled, "just saw flaming looking aircraft 7/16/2012. It is now 12:03 a.m. 

 

This was approximately 11:40. Wow, hit me back.

Object Changing Colors And Seen Over Columbus Ohio

Time:  12:30 a.m.

 

Hi, perhaps I am a bit crazy, but that would mean my husband is too. We live in Columbus Ohio and were simply looking out the window and saw what at first seemed to be a star, perhaps the north star.

 

Then I realized it was the south sky and there were no other visible stars. Upon watching more closely, we saw a continuous color pattern to it as if it were circulating, red, green, gold and white.

 

It did not move from it's spot for about 10 minutes, we looked away for a few minutes, and looked back and it was gone.

 

Sadly, there was no point in taking a picture, our camera wouldn't show much and we have no telescope.

All I know for sure is it was not a plane of any kind nor a star. Has anyone else reported this description in my area? If not, here's one! Baffled.

Large Disc UFO Rose Up From The Ground At Wilson And Trabue Road Columbus Ohio

Time:  Afternoon.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I will be 72 in March. I have not forgotten the incident. At the time I was attending Hilliard Middle School, Hilliard, OH.

The house where I lived was located on 40 acres of land on Trabue Road. I decided to go horse back riding and saddled up my horse. We rode south from the barn and out onto the riding track.

 

About 15 minutes passed and my horse began to shake and came to an abrupt stop. I looked around me and to the east a large disc shaped object arose from the ground and with no lights or sound streaked towards the southwest.

 

Wright Patterson Air force base was located at Dayton, Ohio in the direction which the saucer flew. My parents thought I made it all up. However, two of my class mates who were working on their parents farm saw the disc.

 

I had further sightings in 1973 while living in New Bremen, OH.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was standing in my front yard and my wife was on the porch. I noticed something above the tree line over my neighbors house across the street.

 

I called my wife down to look and we noticed what looked like a rectangular box with lights in front and back, almost to say, like a car floating in the sky. We didn't hear any noise coming from it and it moved pretty slow.

 

It crossed over the street and disappeared. It was gone as quick as we saw it. If I hadn't been watching the sky, I would of never seen it.

Blue Colored Objects Fall Over Columbus Georgia

Hello I just wanted say that I was on my way home tonight and. I was driving down the highway by myself, there were no other cars on the freeway and I seen a ball of light shoot down and vanished.

 

Then when I get on the exit ramp to the other freeway on the ramp, I seen 2 back to back fall, this time right on the other side of the wood line then I never seen them anymore.

 

I was wondering if you have figured this out yet, this happened in Columbus Ga. Approximate time about 3:00 a.m. Anything will help, they did not look like meteorites as it was like a blue-ish color. Thanks.

UFO Turns Into Two Objects Seen Over Columbus Ohio

 

Date:  August 9, 2011

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1

Number of Objects: 1-2.

Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: The sighting occurred on August 9, 2011 at approximately 9:00pm est.

The object/s are traveling west to east at estimated height of 10,000 feet or less at a fairly slow speed.

I am estimating the height by the storm clouds which the object was traveling under.

When the object passed overhead it turned into two objects side by side.
There were no sounds present emanating from the objects.

When I first noticed the object, there was a sound that seemed like a high speed jet fighter which only lasted for a couple of seconds and was never heard again.

The sound seemed to come from the general direction of my sighting, but could not confirm on the visual.

My GPS location is: 39 deg 52’ 20.37” N 82deg 58’ 58.66” W This translates to near the intersection of I270 and SR23 in southern Franklin County Ohio.

I have video, but quality is poor.

Gold Orange Colored UFO Over Columbus Ohio

 

Date:  Summer 2010

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

 

In the Summer 2010, I and 3 others were witness to a ball of light over Columbus going from east to west, then changing course to the north, northeast. I noticed initially as we were sitting outside around a fire pit about 10:00 PM.  I was facing west when I noticed a star in the sky that seemed a bit out of place. 

 

I pointed at it to the 2 people who were sitting around the fire as I thought it was a satellite. This ball seemed very high in the sky, but then started to descend toward us. You could see it dropping in altitude at a slow steady rate and moving toward us from our viewpoint. 

 

The object looked like a gold/yellowish beach ball that was emitting a golden orange light from it. I live below the final approach turn for Port Columbus and have seen everything from commercial to military planes fly over, including the police helicopter and Medevac copters going into OSU.  

 

This object descended to just above tree level to the west of us from a very high altitude and proceeded east maybe 200/300 feet above the ground and no more than a few hundred feet away from us. We watched this ball for at least 2 minutes from when I first saw it.  

 

This object was not an aircraft. It was a sold glowing ball of a gold/orange color! There were no anti collision lights, landing lights, strobes or anything that would identify it as a any type of conventional aircraft. There was no sound from it, it moved silently through the sky.  

 

As it moved east just above the tree line at a slow speed, it turned north northeast. We watched it until it disappeared from view. We all had an uneasy feeling as we were watching this as well. I know what aircraft look like at night and day, I'm a private pilot myself and an aviation enthusiast. 

 

I know what we saw was not an aircraft. I have seen this ball probably 3 - 4 more times since then either going west to east or north to south typical just west of where we are in Grandview. These sightings were confirmed for me last night. I was outside speaking with my friend who lives on a farm north of 270 and how we got into the subject, I'm not sure, but he mentioned that he has seen that same ball of light over his farm. 

 

Same exact description of what we saw flying over Grandview. He saw this object emitting some sort of strobe over his farmland. He too had an uneasy feeling when he witnessed this gold object. For a long time I was wondering if we were just imagining seeing this flying orb, but I now have another witness that saw the same thing.  

 

Last time I saw this object was earlier in June when it was just to the west of me flying from North to South just after sunset. I wonder if there are others in Columbus who have seen this also.

Triangular Red Blinking Lights Over Columbus Ohio (Galloway Area) Photo

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My friends and I were driving along Norton road, when my friend says look in the sky. We all witnessed these 3 red blinking lights in a triangular shape in the sky above a local park. They flashed all in unison and were moving at a slow pace to the left.

The light by itself to the left slowly disappeared and then right after the light second to the first did the same and the third closest to it seconds after stared the same process of disappearing, then they vanished. My friend caught a couple pictures and it shows this fire like image that we could not see with our naked eyes in the pictures. The fire like images are going in the opposite direction of the movement of what we believe to be a UFO.

It’s as if the UFO was moving into a dimension we could not pick up with our naked eyes.

4 Silent Round Orange Balls Of Light Over Columbus Ohio

Hello, sounds different, but a friend of mine claimed to have seen 4 silent round orange balls of light fly over Columbus one after the other from S to N about 600 feet or so above the city on New Years some 20 minutes after midnight. He lives off of 3rd in the village. He said that they seemed to be flying in a straight trajectory with no discernable arc.

I have seen nothing on this and have heard nothing either. I was just searching on Google and came across your posting.

Strange Lights Over Grove City Columbus Ohio

Time: Approx: 8:20 p.m.

First of all, let me say, I have never bought into the whole UFO alien thing, but this is hard to explain away. My wife and I pulled in front of our home at around 8:20pm October 19, 2010. When we exited our car, what we saw seriously scared us. Two strange white lights making a half circle around the bright star or planet just below the moon. They were bright, but far away. Farther than a plane could go.

Then they got in line and faded out as to have traveled into space, not like they just went farther south or west. The whole thing lasted about 15 seconds. We have no idea how long it was going on before we got out of the car. We were in great hopes we weren't the only ones to see these in Columbus (actually Grove City). Hope you can use this info.

Bright Orange Object Over Columbus Ohio

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was coming home from work on the far southwest side of town, when I noticed a light in the sky coming from the west, the direction I was traveling. I thought it would be a helo or a low plane at first, since there is a small airfield close by, but then I noticed it was a bright orange color, and was not blinking. It was heading in my direction, and almost went right over my car. I pulled over at the next street, and got out of my car to get a better look at it.

It looked most like a ball of fire, and appeared to be maybe only a few hundred feet up. It made no sound. It continued to move at a slow, but steady speed southeastward. I watched it until it disappeared out of range over the tree line. This all happened in about 1 minute, took place in a residential area. Hope this was helpful to someone.
