I saw a green fireball between Paris and Cooper around 9:15 p.m.

Green Object Travels Quickly And Vanishes Over Pearl City Hawaii

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving down Aumakua Street and noticed a greenish object in the north facing sky.

It traveled for approximately 5 seconds, and then suddenly vanished.

Bright Solid White Object Travels Quickly Across The Sky Over Nashville Tennessee

Time:  10:04 p.m.

Hey there, I was outside smoking a cigarette and saw a very bright solid light moved across the sky.

It's speed was way faster than that of an airplane, and seemed to be way closer to the ground than planes fly.

It moved so fast that if I would have blinked 3 times I would have missed it. But I noticed it once it passed my point of view looking south.

It did not look like a meteor, because it was moving horizontal and had no streak of light (due to the loss of materials from colliding with Earth's atmosphere).

This occurred at 10:04 p.m. CST.

The object was moving west.

It made no sound.

The color of the light was solid white.

It looked to be at the same elevation as helicopters fly, or was further away than it looked, so it would appear to be lower in the horizon.

I studied Astronomy for two years in college and have a pretty decent understanding of the night sky.

It was not a satellite or airplane.

Either a UFO or meteor/asteroid.

Fireball Travels Across The Sky Over West Los Angeles California

Time:  8:30 p.m.

Brian, I live in West Los Angeles and saw it at 8:30 p.m., while it was still very light outside. It was definitely a meteor of considerable size streaking directly north over Los Angeles. 

Have never seen anything like it, was not a shooting star (have been an outdoorsman all my life and have seen tens of thousands), or a craft of any kind (I grew up on Air Force bases), it was fireball. 

Awesome. Really strange however, that I don’t see it reported anywhere.

Red Ball Of Light Travels Over Janesville Wisconsin

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was standing out on my front porch and noticed a reddish ball of light traveling towards me coming from the south, heading north.

 

It was about the height a helicopter would fly. It passed right over me, so I got a good look. It wasn’t traveling very fast, had no blinking lights that an aircraft would have and made absolutely no noise as it passed.

 

I called for my daughter to witness it. I live close to the Rock County airport and see many aircraft, but never anything like this.

Green White Fireball Travels Over Arizona

 

Date:  December 31, 2011

Time:  8:20 p.m.

 

While heading East on U.S. 60 spotted the green white fire ball at the stated time 8:20 p.m. It went south to north at about the Idaho over-pass and appeared at first to be a low flying aircraft, but then burned out like a meteor.

Bright Orange UFO Travels Toward Witnesses Over Anclote Florida

Date: November 2000

Time: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Anclote, Florida.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were traveling down Anclote Rd., which is a road that runs along the Gulf of Mexico near the Anclote Power Station, on our way to go fishing and I saw out of the passenger's side window a bright orange streak across the sky over the water.

It did not seem odd at first as I assumed it was a meteor; however, when I told my husband about it, the light stopped in the sky and hovered and then shot across the sky again as fast as a shooting star. I knew then this was not a meteor or a plane. My husband stopped the car and we got out to see it better and just as we got out the object stopped in the air, it started coming towards our car.

I yelled at him to get back in the car and as soon as we did, which only took a few seconds, it had vanished from the sky. I looked around and in that area it is only low lying brush, so we could see for miles, there was nothing in the sky anymore. The odd thing also was when it was hovering over the water and coming towards us there was no sound at all.

A Large Pale Orange Light Travels Over Central West Louisiana

Brian, Hey my friend how you do'n? Interesting article. Last night here in central west Louisiana I saw something strange flying from Texas, which is south west of us, heading northeast. It looked like one large pale orange light until it got closer over head, then I could see it was two lights, one front the other back. I never seen a jet with two landing lights to begin with nor one flying that fast and pretty high. What it was I'm not sure but a air plane I doubt. Take care my friend.

Burbank California Object Travels Across The Sky Engulfed In Flames

I just read your blog entry and for it interesting. Because that same night at about 11:45 my wife and I saw a fireball slash across the sky heading downward in a north direction. It was completely engulfed in visible flames. Not a distant meteor that was a hot streak of light. We watched as it appeared out of nothing, with out any sound or trail (like a firework or flare) and we never saw any sort of upward trajectory. Yet nothing on the news about it. Any idea as to what it was?

Additional Information:

I am down here in Burbank CA. 11:45 pm last night. Apparently we are going to be having spectacular meteor showers for the next few days (described as especially flaming fireball. This thing looked like a plane going down in flames. I read the other blog entry about the pin point spot in the evening sky here in the San Fernando Valley, so I just wondered if there was any relation to that.

Western Maine Unusual Ball Of Fluorescent UFO Travels Through The Forest

Greetings Brian : Thanks for your reply and valued opinions. I am a retired scientist and during my long camping trips in a remote area of western Maine, I like to read about natural science and try to put the pieces together. My son and I were on a trip about 25 years ago at that location during the winter. On a cold still night, we went for a walk after supper and as we walked down the road, a ball of fluorescent light, maybe 2 feet in diameter, crossed our path about 30 feet away. We were both quite surprised and watched it move off into the forest. We immediately looked for any signs in the fresh snow but found nothing. We proceeded down the road for a while, then turned to return.

When we approached the same area, the light appeared again, crossed our path and disappeared into the forest. At that point, my young son became scared since we were over 5 miles away from anyone else. I have never seen anything like it again and I often walk after dark. Actually, I am leaving tomorrow morning for a week of XC skiing and snowshoeing in that area. I don't think this experience qualifies as a UFO sighting but it was certainly unusual and unexplainable. Maybe if we keep reading, observing and analyzing we can put the pieces together. Life sure is interesting. Sincerely.
