Red Ball Of Light Travels Over Janesville Wisconsin

Date:  March 17, 2012
Time:  9:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was standing out on my front porch and noticed a reddish ball of light traveling towards me coming from the south, heading north.

It was about the height a helicopter would fly. It passed right over me, so I got a good look. It wasn’t traveling very fast, had no blinking lights that an aircraft would have and made absolutely no noise as it passed.

I called for my daughter to witness it. I live close to the Rock County airport and see many aircraft, but never anything like this.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

A few years ago, I also saw a sharply defined bright red ball very slowly passing almost directly over me at about twice the height of a house in southern Arizona. It moved from north to south. It didn't appear to be burning but intensities of the red seemed to fluctuate. The visual size was like a soccer ball held at arm's length. There was no smoke trail and no noise but after it passed I could see a short, bright white tail behind it. When it had traveled about a mile away or less, the tail appeared like a bright planet and no red was visible. As it traveled farther away, it took on the appearance of a dim star and then I could no longer see it. I think my height estimate is close. At a distance, it was obviously below the top of a mountain range. It was moving too slowly to have been a meteor. I didn't report it and the news carried no report that anyone else had seen it.
