Time: Approx: 5:00 a.m.
My coworker and I were driving to work in Gilbert's Corner, VA on Rt. 50 E around 5:00 a.m. on March 27, 2012 when we noticed several odd streaks in the sky.
They appeared as an airplane would with a glowing trail behind them, only they were traveling vertically toward the ground and the trail became very distinct and bright before dissipating into an odd “squiggly” pattern.
All these patterns were identical and as we watched two more objects fell into the same cycle. I have never seen anything like this before and I have seen comets, meteor showers , and many shooting stars.
