Time: Approx: After 8:00 p.m.
My husband and I saw a glowing, green light that traveled horizontally to the ground at a rather low altitude sometime after 8:00 p.m. on December 31st, 2011. We were in our home facing east, and it moved from south to north in the Carefree area.
We live in the vicinity of Central avenue and Carefree Highway. A local television news program mentioned that several people had called in with the sighting, but we have not heard anything else on the subject since that night.

My brother and I and our friend saw the same thing 12/31/11 in the Eastern sky traveling South to North at a remarkable speed. It did not appear to have a tail. It was seen from Cactus and SR51 area. We hadn't even started drinking yet. :)
