Bright Light With Green Colored Tail Observed In The Sky From Northern Idaho

Date:  January 11, 2012
Time:  Approx: 6:30 a.m.

1/11/13,. here in Northern Idaho we saw a bright light with a green tail. It looked like it exploded before it hit the ground, even had a sonic boom, the only news feed I can find is on Spokesman Review ( for Washington, meteor?

What metal or chemical would burn off in our atmosphere to show a beautiful green?
