Shape of objects: Not discernable; point of light.
HBCC UFO Research Note: Since this sighting happened today, September 29, 2008 and in the wee hours of the morning. I am sure there would have been alot of folks who witnessed this. Full Description of event/sighting: This has great similarity to the Fresno, CA report of June 14, 2008, so I thought it would be appropriate to enter this information. Early Monday morning, I had just returned to bed after being up briefly, and suddenly noticed light entering through the bedroom window - while my eyes were still closed. I opened my eyes to see an extremely bright "meteor" to the West of me, heading North or Northwest. I immediately sat up and watched it for several seconds until the light extinguished. Over that period of several (est. 2-3) seconds, it traveled about 25-30 deg. across the sky, which seems a little slow for a meteor. It was far more brilliant than any meteor I've seen before, by at least an order of magnitude, if not two. It maintained steady speed and direction while I was observing it. Its apparent trajectory was descending slightly, and when I first saw it, thought it could be an aircraft in trouble. There was no accompanying sound (although I was indoors, of course). It could have been re-entering space debris, but then that's an odd direction for a satellite to be moving in.
