Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m.
I thought I was the only one that saw them two I was leaving to a party around 8:30-ish and when I saw the light at first I saw two and thought it was an airplane.
Then I saw more out of know where and they were getting closer. Then in my mind, planes aren’t supposed to fly that close together and that they looked red, so I called my brother and mom out and they noticed them also.
It was strange how the just faded away. I saw a least 7 of those lights. It was like they were coming out of the moon. Tried taking pictures, but no luck on seeing them, wish I had a video tape so I can show people.
Please let me know if you find out what they were I would like to know. Thanks.

I saw them in Artesia, California. 5/5/12 around 8:30 they were like a reddish color. Mostly around the moon.

I saw the exact same thing over Oviedo, FL. I was searching for a similar case cause I'm having pretty bad anxiety about it right now. My friend was driving us to another friend's house and after turning a corner I saw either 6 or 7 bright red dots in the night sky, flying close together in some weird constellation like formation. I beckoned my friend to look and we both spent a good amount of time just asking "WTF is that?" before some trees blocked them out of our vision and they were gone forever. I joked about it the next day, but neither of us ever brought it up after. Then last night I was laughing and joked about it saying "we saw UFOs". But then my friend suddenly took on a very serious tone and facial expression, he looked down and said softly "We did see UFOs. But we can't even tell anybody because they won't believe us. We'll never know what they were, so it's pointless to even think about it." I tried to get him to laugh about it too but he was right. I'm very up to date with aeronautical technology, so it's either alien, or just something the government hasn't revealed yet. We both know what we saw. Anyways that's my story and I'm sticking to it no matter how crazy I sound. Now I'm convinced whatever I saw was over California once too. I'm going to keep looking for similar stories. Update: Just saw a video of the same thing over Kansas, and they kept babbling about how there were similar ones in Arizona.
